Hamilton Mob boss Pat Musitano gunned down

The Hamilton Spectator is reporting that "Hamilton Mob boss Pasquale (Pat) Musitano has been gunned down in a Burlington parking lot, The Hamilton Spectator has confirmed. Halton police were called to the 484 Plains Rd. E., a plaza at King Road that houses a several businesses including Pro Patio Furniture around 1 p.m. on Friday. Two men were found with gunshot wounds. One of the men died at the scene. Multiple police sources have confirmed the victim is Pat Musitano, the reputed boss of Hamilton’s Musitano crime family."

Pat Musitano was shot in Mississauga last year but survived.

Pat's brother Angelo was shot dead in 2017.

The Peace arch News is reporting that "The B.C. government is appealing a court ruling which denied it the seizure of three Hells Angels clubhouses located in Vancouver, Kelowna and Nanaimo. The Director of Civil Forfeiture has long claimed the properties are used as instruments of criminal activity, but on June 11, B.C. Supreme Court Justice Barry Davies rejected that claim. He also ruled that part of the Civil Forfeiture Act, specifically regarding the instrument of unlawful activity provisions, was both unconstitutional and outside the jurisdiction of the provincial government." That was ridiculous! Committing crime is NOT a Charter Right.

"On Tuesday, July 9, the province filed two notices of appeal related to Davies’ decision: The Director of Civil Forfeiture is appealing his ruling on the clubhouses and the B.C.’s attorney general is appealing his finding on the act. The director is again looking to have the three properties turned over to the province." And so they should. Bad court decisions need to be appealed. Bad judges need to be removed from the bench.

OK so Jamie PigSh*t plead guilty to conspiracy to commit the murder of Corey Lal. Obviously. Jamie Bacon tried to tax Corey and Corey said no because Jamie Bacon was an idiot. He couldn't go to the gym without a bodyguard. First Anton was his bodyguard then it was DK.

The police had Larry Amero on many conspiracy to commit murder charges because they had transcripts from his encrypted blackberry messages. Let's not forget why a plea deal became necessary. IHIT investigators were sleeping with witnesses and tried to cover it up which is why Jamie's case was separated from the others and resulted in trial delays. The court let him off for the Surrey Six murder because of the delays which the Crown rightfully appealed. It was not Eileen Mohan's fault the investigators were sleeping with witnesses. It wasn't just one cop with one witness.

That married cop was having threesomes with witnesses but it wasn't just him. There was a climate of unprofessionalism where IHIT investigators would get drunk with and flirt with witnesses all the time. It was a common practice. This is one of the reasons Surrey is forming it's own police force. Forming a municipal force isn't a magic solution but it is a step in the right direction.

I notice some ExploreBC.ca commercials on TV now. Those are much more positive. Get out there and explore BC. Tourism is good for the economy and fresh air is good for your health. The freedom to move. Cherish it. We all know about the Sea to Sky feeling on the West coast but there's also the Vineyards, Valley and Lakes in the interior. Mission Hill Estates in Kelowna is quite popular but there are tons of vineyards you can tour in Osoyoos as well.

11 year old boy shot dead in DC

The New York Daily News is reporting that "Davon McNeal had just stopped by his aunt’s house to pick up a cell phone charger and ear buds on his way to a cookout. But it proved to be a fatal move. The 11-year-old was shot in the head on Independence Day, one of three children gunned down around the country over the Fourth of July weekend." Curtis posted this.

"The tragedy unfolded just after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday when a group of five or so men started “shooting up in the area,” Police Chief Peter Newsham told WTOP-TV. “Five black males were shooting at each other,” Davon’s paternal grandfather, John Ayala, wrote on Facebook in a moving tribute that highlighted his grandson’s dreams of some day playing in the NFL. “How are we going to say Black Lives Matter when you guys are killing each other?”

Davon's life does matter. He was an innocent bystander picking up a cell phone charger on his way to a cookout. It breaks my heart. He reminds me of Cool Roy back in the day. Roy played football too. Daven's grandfather is a founding member of the DC Guardian Angels. I'm so sorry.

Fatal double shooting in East Vancouver

News 1130 is reporting that "Two men have been shot and killed in East Vancouver. Vancouver police say officers received a call just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to report a shooting at a home in the area of Commercial Drive and East 11th Avenue. Both men had died by the time officers and paramedics arrived, according to a VPD release." Sheila Scott with CTV has the report.

BC is open for business - kinda

It's nice to see the local mountains are finally open. They never should have closed down. You can social distance in the back country. The Gondola is finally running on Grouse mountian now as well. They're running at 40% capacity and you have to book a spot online first.



The Grouse Grind is open. If you want to ride the gondola down you have to book a spot online otherwise you have to hike down. Last weekend I noticed the Sea to Sky Gondola was running outside Squamish. Their Gondolas are smaller and they have more of them like a chairlift so it's a bit easier to keep the line moving. Deep cove is open but there's more parking at Belcarra.



Recently I saw an ad put out by the BC Government with links to where you can apply for jobs in the food, farm and fish industry with the slogan do your part. Those are a lot more productive then Bonnie Henry's ridiculous say nothing ads for the WHO. We need to cut the cord with the WHO once and for all. Getting back to work is in everyone's interest. When I was young I remember going to the Peace Arch border crossing and reading the inscription inside which says "May these gates never be closed."
