Ontario Police use Israeli spyware to monitor civilians

Dan Dicks covered this story which originated with the Citizen Lab and was also covered by CBC. CBC is reporting that "Researchers say Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) may have secretly used controversial Israeli spyware technology, raising concerns about potential spying on citizens."

In 2018 Toronto Police admitted to using Stingray cellphone surveillance after initially denying they did when the Toronto Star made a Freedom of Information Act request that showed the Toronto Police were lying. These are the same Stingray antennas set up all over Surrey as well as outside the Surrey and East Van pretrial. They have one outside my house.

Now the FBI run the encrypted cell phone companiesFun fact, when the RCMP bought the stolen PROMIS tracking software from the CIA it contained a Trojan horse which gave the CIA access to all of the RCMP files. You really think this Mossad software doesn't also contain a Trojan horse that lets Mossad access all your files? Welcome to the Five and a Half Eyes

  1. I wonder what Police On Guard says about this.....not that it matters, when you are that few, nothing will happen. Our Police have no shame, they lie like a dog on a rug.

    1. I'm pretty sure it was an administrative decision form the top. Just like all these stingray antennas all over Surrey. We've become climatized to accept it.

    2. Conditioned to accept it, truer words were never spoken. A great conversation could be had on what else we have been conditioned to accept. Look at Canada in 1970 and Canada now, and all that will be clear.
