Dan Dicks covered this story which originated with the Citizen Lab and was also covered by CBC. CBC is reporting that "Researchers say Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) may have secretly used controversial Israeli spyware technology, raising concerns about potential spying on citizens."
Now the FBI run the encrypted cell phone companies. Fun fact, when the RCMP bought the stolen PROMIS tracking software from the CIA it contained a Trojan horse which gave the CIA access to all of the RCMP files. I wonder what Police On Guard says about this.....not that it matters, when you are that few, nothing will happen. Our Police have no shame, they lie like a dog on a rug.
