Mistreatment of El Chapo serves no one

As I previously stated, mistreating of El Chapo diminishes all of us. The United States is filled with extremes. On one hand they have this wonderful Constitution protecting civil liberty for all and on the other hand they have dirty dogs trampling the Constitution from within.

El Chapo has been in solitary consignment for two and a half years. His lawyer has asked that he be allowed to purchase some bottled water, have a little bit of fresh air and proper ear plugs. All of which are very reasonable requests. El Chapo is housed at a notorious Manhattan prison that has been compared to Guatanamo Bay. That is nothing to be proud of. As I've previously stated, Norway has the best prison model in the world. The United States does not. The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world. Even more than China and Russia.

As I previously stated, El Chapo should be pardoned in exchange for his testimony against the CIA. That would be in the public's best interest.

Compare the treatment of El Chappo, Manuel Noriega and Oliver North. Again we see the sad saga of unequal protection of the law emerge. Colonel Edward P. Cutolo testified that in Operation Watchtower the planes loaded with cocaine landing in Panama from Bogata were met by Col. Tony Noriega and CIA Agent Edwin Wilson. The CIA made Noriega president because of his drug trafficking on their behalf. He worked for Oliver North. Oliver North was pardoned and became a Fox News TV host. Manuel Noriega died in an American prison.

Operation Fast and Furious was a CIA operation where the ATF sold the sinola carter guns and brought back tons of cocaine into the United States as payment. El Chapo had a .50 cal sniper rifle from Operation Fast and Furious. Hilary Clinton was the author of that operation.

Wally Oppal is a scoundrel

The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "Mistrials resulting from deadlocked juries are extremely rare and are a sign that the judicial system is working, former B.C. attorney general Wally Oppal said Sunday. Oppal said the public should not be concerned that jurors could not reach a verdict in the case of Jamie Bacon, who is charged with one count of counselling someone to commit murder in late 2008." AYFKM? WTF is wrong with the Vancouver Sun?! No really.

The fact that Wally Oppal isn't in jail for collusion after sabotaging the missing woman's inquiry is proof the system is broken. Jamie Bacon got off scot free for ordering the worst gangland slaying in BC's history because of trial delays resulting from police misconduct. The fact that someone on the jury wouldn't convict him in DK's murder makes it look like someone on the jury was paid off. That's what it looks like. For that piece of garbage to say the public should not be concerned and the system is working just fine for him is absolutely outrageous. The fact that the Vancouver Sun would even quote that raging lunatic is very offensive.

Wally Oppal was a horrible attorney general. With gang violence escalating the public were protesting bad judges. Wally Oppal said everything is fine. That's when Vern started putting huge signs on flatdeck trucks that said Recall Wally Oppal. The group Vern was with in Aldergove weren't talking about gang violence, they were talking about property theft. They had drug addicts stealing from all their neighbors and every time the police arrested them the courts let them free. It was a revolving door judicial system that served no one. That was when the VPD came up with a proposal asking for 30 strikes and your out. Showing that the more crimes these chronic offenders committed, the less jail time they were sentenced with. Wally said it was just fine.

After Wally Oppal lost the election, the Vancouver Sun pushed to have him on the Missing woman's inquiry. I was like WTF are they doing? Women from the DTES spoke up at a public meeting saying Wally Oppal was the wrong choice to head that inquiry. They were right.

Durring the missing Woman's Inquiry Wally Oppal took a second job acting in a slasher movie. That National Post said it was bad judgement. Indeed it was.

In 1992, when he was a B.C. Supreme Court justice, Wally Oppal appeared at a boozy, men-only dinner hosted by members of the Vancouver Police Department and told jokes about what a rape victim had said in court. There is no way the Vancouver Sun should have endorsed him for the Missing Woman Inquiry. He didn't even do his job on the Inquiry.

As soon as the inquiry heard evidence that implicated the Hells Angels, Wally Oppal shut the inquiry down and turned it into a *less adversarial* panel discussion where he could more easily censor evidence. That was collusion.

Hells Angel injures 4 year old boy in Toronto Hit and run

The Canadian Press is reporting that "Officials say a four-year-old boy who was hospitalized after a hit-and-run is in life-threatening condition. Police have said that the boy was struck by a motorcycle that fled the scene Sunday afternoon in the city's east end. Police spokeswoman Katrina Arrogante says first responders found the child in and out of consciousness before he was rushed to hospital. Police have said the male driver of the motorcycle drove away while a female passenger got off the motorcycle and fled on foot."

"They've described the male suspect as white, with a heavy build, between 40 and 50 years old and was wearing a black helmet and dark-coloured pants. The female is described as white and in her 20s, with blonde hair. She was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, white running shoes and a black helmet. Police also say the motorcycle is a red or orange colour and is a cruiser-type Harley Davidson with damage to the front right turn signal. Arrogante says police are asking witnesses to come forward." The Toronto Sun posted surveillance photos. Red sneakers.

Update: CBC is reporting that "Toronto police have made an arrest in connection with a hit and run involving a motorcycle that left a four-year-old child critically injured. Police say a 31-year-old man was arrested in Markham and has been charged with: leaving the scene of an accident and causing bodily harm, driving a motorcycle with an improper licence and operating a motorcycle without insurance."

"Police also say they have seized a 2016 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle. The boy is being treated for life-threatening injuries at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, where a family friend says relatives from around Toronto and abroad are gathered."

2nd Update: The suspect in the hit and run has been identified as Darren Robert Dawson. The Toronto Sun is reporting that "The accused is the son of full-patch Hells Angels member Billy Dawson who died at age 59 in Aug. 2013. Dawson himself was a full-patch Hells Angels member, but sources say his membership had been revoked sometime over the past few years."

The red sneakers was a give away. So we know he *was* a member of the Hells Angels and a source *claims* he is no longer a member. The fact that he is no longer a member is hearsay and has yet to be determined. Chalk another one up for the Ontario Village Idiots.

Newly elected Green MP has a brain

Global is reporting that "Green Party MP-elect Paul Manly openly questioned the “corporate media’s” coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and whether there is additional evidence that would reveal a different explanation for the attacks." Finally someone with a brain. Global is trying to discredit him and make him sound like a wing nut. IF he said the third tower collapsed into it's own blueprint at freefall speed due to heat and fire, THEN he'd be a wing nut. He did not say that.

When Global confronted him for something he said on a podcast years ago Paul Manly replied “There are a lot of conspiracy theories when it comes to 9/11 and I do not subscribe to them, but when people remember the official story of 9/11 it was that Saddam Hussein was directly involved with the bombings of 9/11. We now know that is not true.” Exactly. First they said it was Bin Ladden but the confession video didn't look anything like Bin Ladden.

One has to wonder why on earth is Global sounding like a cheap tabloid all of a sudden. It's because it's now owned by Post Media News. That's why. In contrast, the Toronto Star reported that "Green Leader Elizabeth May introduced Ottawa to incoming MP Paul Manly, whose victory in the former NDP riding of Nanaimo-Ladysmith appears to have both energized May's party and prompted a warning from former New Democratic MP Svend Robinson. He called the Green breakthrough a “wake-up call” for Jagmeet Singh’s NDP to take a more aggressive stance on climate change and the environment." Indeed. Wakie wakie achy breaky.

10th Anniversary of the Gangsters Out Blog

Today is a milestone. It is the 10th anniversary of the Gangsters out blog. 10 years ago today was my first blog post. 10 years of death threats, legal challenges along with defamation campaigns and what have we accomplished? Not much. Not much has changed really. The police corruption and the political corruption that profits from gang violence continues unabated. That is my beef.

In my second ever blog post I noted how news of the Vancouver Gang war had spread to England. The Independent reported on the situation and said "From heaven to hell: 18 die as drugs war rages on streets of Vancouver." Since then a lot more than 18 people have died.

In 2013 I put out a pamphlet called Misconceptions: Connecting the dots between politics and organized crime. In 2014 I put out a free ebook called Stand True: Civil Liberty and the Hells Angels Drug Trafficking Network. This year I launched a new ebook called Finian's Inferno: What's done in the dark will be brought to the light. Stay tuned.

Jury Deadlock causes mistrial in Jamie Bacon's DK murder plot. New trial begins in June.

CBC is reporting that "A mistrial was declared Saturday in the murder plot case involving Jamie Bacon, according to the B.C. Prosecution Service. Bacon was charged in 2014 with counselling an associate to commit murder. He is accused of counselling others to kill Denis Karbovanec, who was shot, but not killed in Mission on Dec. 31, 2008. Crown spokesperson Daniel McLaughlin said the decision was made late in the day after the jury advised the court that they weren't able to reach a verdict following a three-month long trial. A mistrial, which is ordered at the discretion of the trial judge can occur where a trial has the appearance of unfairness. A new trial will take place and McLaughlin said the next appearance in the case will be June 14."

AYFKM? The jury couldn't figure it out? Wow. Holy injustice Batman. Global is reporting that "B.C. Supreme Court Justice Catherine Wedge ordered the jury to continue talking after they came to her without a decision Saturday afternoon, but no progress was made after that."

"The court heard Bacon and Karbovanec were longtime friends and associates in the drug trade, but that Bacon had begun to question Karbovanec’s focus on their operation. The shooter — who can only be identified as “CD” due to a sweeping publication ban — testified Bacon ordered the hit to erase CD’s $20,000 drug debt. A second witness identified only as “AB” testified he lured Karbovonec to a Mission cul-de-sac, but CD’s gun jammed. Karbovonec fled, but was hit in the back and a bullet grazed his face. He managed to survive his injuries."

"Both CD and AB have escaped prosecution by agreeing to testify against Bacon, despite admitting to their roles in the shooting. Defence argued those immunity deals were precisely why their testimony couldn’t be relied on, telling the court Bacon was only being used as an excuse to reduce the witnesses’ responsibility. Lawyer Kevin Drolet told the court during closing arguments Wednesday that there was never any plan to murder Karbovonec, arguing the shooting was too inept to be coordinated by anyone." AYFKM? This isn't brain surgery.

Jamie Bacon getting off for the Surrey six murder due to trial delays over police misconduct was obscene. Now this. Wow. That is insane. The whole plot falls well within the realm of believability. It makes sense. The jury deadlock does not. There is not a snowball's chance in Hell the two losers would have shot DK without Jamie Bacon's order. This deadlock is really offensive.

In the Surrey Six, Person Y testified that Jamie Bacon ordered the hit on Cory Lal. Global reported that “Mr. Johnston and Mr. Haevischer, both 30, claimed at trial that the plan was to rob Corey Lal, a drug-dealing rival of their gang, the Red Scorpions, but Justice Wedge found the story implausible." No kidding. Just like Jamie Bacon’s claim that there was no plan to shoot DK. The two loser shooters would not have shot him if Jamie Bacon had not ordered them to. They worked for Jamie Bacon. The jury failed to put that ridiculous claim to the test of beleivebailty.

Taking counsel from the Dalai Lama

I just picked up two new books: The Art of Happiness in a Troubled World by his holiness the Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutter, MD and the pocket Dalai Lama compiled by Mary Craig.

I like the Dalai Lama. He's intelligent, positive and he's even a political activist. I support his cause. He's the kind of guy I'd sit down and listen to. One of the quotes from the pocket Dalai Lama states "I believe in justice and truth, without which there would be no basis for human hope." Gotta love that. I believe in justice and truth.

I also like the book The Art of Happiness in a Troubled World. I like the way it's written. You don't really picture a Zen master standing at a pulpit preaching a sermon. You'd picture him pointing the way to enlightenment. In this book, Howard C. Cutler, who is obviously educated, starts talking about subjects then asks the Dalai Lama for his insights which he gives. This is kind of what you would expect from a Zen master.

One of the sections of the book explores the causes of violence. It discusses the roots of violence and ways to overcome fear. I assume they threw that in because anger is a secondary emotion. We experience anger when he have been hurt or experience fear.

To control our anger we must face our fear.

Rocketman hits theatres May 31st

Rocketman, the movie about the life of Elton John, hits theatres on Friday, May 31. ET Canada is reporting that ""Rocketman earned rave reviews and a five-minute standing ovation at its recent premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, but the film's subject admits some scenes in the rock biopic have been uncomfortable to watch. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph (via the Daily Mail), Elton John says he was adamant that the film depict all aspects of his life, including his struggles with bulimia, drugs, mental health and even his own sexuality. "This is how my life was, and I didn't want to cover it and gloss it over," Sir Elton told the Telegraph. And it's difficult to watch because I thought, 'God, I don't want to go back there, thank God I came out of it.'"

Elton John said it was difficult to watch the scenes of his drug addiction but he wanted the movie to be truthful. He's just glad he came out of it. Exactly. Then why the hell would we spend so much money keeping people addicted? Harm promotion is the wrong answer to addiction.

Falun Gong Parade in Vancouver highlights China's Organ Harvesting of political prisoners

Minghui.org is reporting that "Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in downtown Vancouver on May 12, 2019. The parade route was about 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) long and lasted nearly two hours." I'm sorry I missed it. I was there last year. This is a video of the parade in Vancouver someone else posted. There were similar parades in Montreal and Edmonton.

Gypsy moth spraying continues in North Surrey

The Foray 48B or BTK Ariel pesticide spraying of north Surrey continues. Thursday I saw and heard the plane go over my house 12 times between 5;00 AM and 6:00 AM on my way to work. Evidently they haven't killed enough song birds yet. BTK pesticide kills all moths, caterpillars and butterflies. It is not healthy for humans to breath. It also effects all other mammals that eat moths, caterpillars and butterflies including songbirds who feed caterpillars to their young.

Dr. Karen Bartlett with the UBC School of Population and Public Health has studied the pesticide. She says warnings to stay indoors during the spraying are fair, but not because it’s toxic. “Not so much because the chemical is terribly toxic, but it’s not good to inhale any foreign substance that you don’t need to. So staying inside with the windows and doors closed is a good idea,” says Bartlett, who was part of a study in the 1990s that looked into the effects of Foray 48B.

It's not harmful for humans is very different from it's not terribly toxic. I don't want to breath that on my way to work in the morning. The small traps on the ground are much more effective than blanketing everyone from the air with toxic pesticides. Don't worry. Next they'll try to figure out a way to inject the pesticide into the seeds. GMO yo. Until then the air will continue to be toxic.
