The Solution to Metro Vancouver's Housing Crisis

Update: Governments at root of rental housing crisis in BC

The solution to Metro Vancouver's housing crisis is very simple - build more rental units. When I finished high school I moved out on my own and rented my fist apartment. They used to have apartment building that you could rent suites from. That was back in the day. Those same old building are still there. Only they're 30 years old. The problem is they haven't built any new ones.

Everyone has been obsessed with making a quick buck with all the free money for the past 30 years. No one has committed to make a lasting profit from rental housing. Right before I finished high school there was a crash in the housing market triggered by high interest rates. Mortgage rates went up to 20%. Your mortgage payments doubled. People couldn't afford those payments and many people lost their homes. I was there. I saw it. I've been afraid ever since.

I've been cautiously waiting for it to happen again only it never did. Mortgage rates never rose that high ever since. For the past 30 years it's been cheaper to own than to rent. Consequently, since mortgage rates have been next to nothing for so long, people would buy up investment properties and rent them out. The rent would pay the mortgage and they'd own another property in the process. It was a great gig. That's why no one has bothered building any new complexes for renting. Now young kids graduating high school can't afford down payments or that large of a mortgage payment. 1.8 million dollars for me to move across the street is completely insane.

The government can help solve this problem but they shouldn't have to. The private sector can make money from building rental housing. It is way easier to evict a bad tenant that plays loud music and parties from a rental unit than from a condo they own.

If the government buys a complex they don't have to rent it out for free. They can rent it out at market value. That way it's not a drain on tax dollars. Helping create more rental units would be the simple solution to the current housing crisis. The government can give tax breaks for private companies that build rental units. Civic governments can help as well by zoning for rental units. If developers want to get a permit to build new condos tell them they need to build some rental units as well. It really is that simple. That' all we have to do. We don't have to change our economic or democratic system for another manufactured emergency.

The government could set up a crown corporation like the Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation. They could build and buy rental units and rent them out at market value. That means it wouldn't cost tax dollars. It would make a profit. They could pay the government dividend which would reduce taxes. The Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation is totally mismanaged. they could do a lot better. They could solve the housing crisis if properly funded and organized.

Bill Morneau: A Path to Canadian Prosperity

Justin Trudeau mocking another former colleague who disagrees with him.

CTV is reporting that "Former federal finance minister Bill Morneau says that when it came to COVID-19 pandemic aid policy, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the top advisers in his office favoured "scoring political points" over policy rationales, leading to him feeling like a rubber stamp ahead of his inevitable resignation. 'My job of providing counsel and direction where fiscal matters were concerned had deteriorated into serving as something between a figurehead and a rubber stamp,' he writes in his new book, out on Jan. 17."

"It became unsustainable," Morneau said in reference to what was behind his decision in August 2020 to resign both as finance minister and Toronto Centre MP. This move came six months into the federal government's COVID-19 aid rollout and amid the WE Charity controversy.

He was the fall guy for the WE Charity scandal. It wasn't Bill Morneau's charity it was Justin Trudeau's charity. Justin Trudeau should have been the one to resign but he refused. Commodus refuses to relinquish power because he has a dark agenda that is determined to bankrupt the country and force us to be enslaved by his coveted Communist dictatorship.

The title of Bill Morneau's new book is Where To from Here: A Path to Canadian Prosperity. Trade unions strive to raise the standard of living for workers. Bill Morneau get's it. Compare that with Chrystia Freeland who wants to roll back the middle class and make everyone poor. No wonder they kicked him to the curb. He was making too much sense.

The Future of Surrey: Reflecting on my crib

I took my bike in to get some work done on it today and took the Skytrain back to Surrey while it was getting fixed. I was walking down the street doing errands and notice a middle aged white woman had just crossed the road. It wasn't a busy street and there wasn't any intersections nearby. Yet a white guy in a work truck honked at her as if to say don't jay walk. She looked him in the eye and flipped him the bird. I laughed and thought to myself welcome back to Surrey.

As I was coming out of Canadian Tire there was a brown guy and a white guy in a bit of a scuffle. As I circled around to see if I needed to intervene, I noticed the brown guy was getting physical with the white guy and the white guy was talking back to him. Then I see the white guy is holding a crystal meth pipe up high. It looked like the brown guy was a LPO for the store and he had another bigger brown guy standing behind him for back up. Looked like he was security. I just smiled and walked away saying nope. I'm not getting involved in that. Unless of course the brown guys need back up. That white trash meth head is a sh*t stain in our community.

I'll tell ya this: there are a lot of low life criminals in the city that are adicted to drugs. Yet they're mostly white. You rarely see brown guys or Asians who are addicted to drugs stealing things. It's mostly white guys. That's the way it has always been in Surrey. I grew up here.

I grew up with the Surrey jokes. They used to say hey did ya hear Vancouver got a new prison? They put a fence around Surrey. Or what's the difference between a Surrey girl and a Rolls-Royce? Not everyone's been in a Rolls-Royce. Yet Surrey has really made a huge amount of progress and they have immigration to thank for it. I'm really perplexed by the term minority. When you travel around the world you quickly see that white people are the minority.

My son was overseas playing in an orchestra. Someone came up to him and asked him how it felt to be the only white person in the entire orchestra. They asked if it made him feel uncomfortable. He was kind of surprised by the question and said no, it kinda feels like my high school growing up. That's one of the reasons I wanted to raise my kids here. It's very multicultural.

Anthem Properties is reporting that "With over 1,000 new residents making the move to Surrey every month, it’s safe to say that the city’s popularity is increasing fast, with no signs of slowing down." They state that Surrey is the second-largest city by population in British Columbia and is well on its way to becoming BC’s largest city within the next decade. Why is that? Because of immigration. People moving here from other parts of the country and world.

A lot of people from small towns all around the world complain about there being no jobs there. That's why they move to big cities in search of employment. Immigration means economic growth. More houses being built. More people going to restaurants and consuming things. That means more jobs. You don't see people in Surrey protesting immigration. They understand the benefits of immigration. All this immigration is helping lift Surrey out of it's negative history.

Surrey will soon be larger than Vancouver. That's because Vancouver is grid locked. They can only build up. Surrey can build up and out. So can Langley. The Mormons built a Temple in Langley and all around that Temple high density housing has exploded. I was born in North Vancouver. That is very high end but it is especially grid locked. They have nowhere to expand to. Only up but their infrastructure can't take it. That means Surrey will soon become BC's largest City. Which doesn't mean much because Toronto and Montreal has way more population than Metro Vancouver. I'm just pointing out that growth is good and has benefited Surrey greatly.

A few years ago a coworker said to me "You go to the gym in Surrey? That's full of brown guys isn't it?" I'm like yeah, it's Surrey. I grew up there. It not a problem. East Indians have a long history of military service. Many Indo Canadians work in security helping keep people safe and prevent theft. Many are beloved truckers. Yes a lot of the young brown kids can get swept up in the gang life but I'll tell you one thing about the brown kids - they respect their elders. It's part of their culture. Our white kids could learn from them. I'm an old man. I am in no way threatening. Yet I can't tell you how many times these young kids call me sir. I almost cringe when I hear it. They are in no way trying to be disrespectful. They're being very respectful and I appreciate it. All the brown guys at the gym, young and old, are very polite and friendly.

Surrey has many other ethnic communities as well. Several years ago my daughter was waiting in the car while I picked up a few groceries at Superstore. As I was coming back to the car a white guy had just mugged an elderly Korean woman. He took her purse and started walking away.

The woman started screaming for help in Korean. It just so happened she was right beside a baseball diamond at a park and a large group of young Korean men were playing baseball there at the time. As soon as they heard her screams they dropped what they were doing and came running to her aid. The white mugger started to run so they chased him down.

One of the kids found him but was having difficulty restraining him so I assisted with the take down. We formed a perimeter and held him until the police came. I said to the guy what the hell were you thinking? This is the safest parking lot in Surrey. I know the security guard who workers here. You're lucky he's not here today. He starts to plead with me and says yo man I can't go back to jail. I laughed and said you're not going to jail. Our judicial system sucks but you can't be doing that sh*t here. This is our crib.

Since then the government opened up a treatment centre and the place is full of white addicts stealing sh*t and causing problems. I'd trade those Korean kids for those white addicts in a heartbeat. A couple of months ago I saw a pretty white girl sitting on the side of the road there smoking a crystal meth pipe. I thought to myself God damn the pusher. They'll be pimping her out until the drug eats her alive and she can't earn any more money. Then she'll end up dead. Helping her kill herself like that is not compassion. It's evil.

They say violence never solves anything. That is simply not true. Maybe not violence but physical force sure does. That's the only thing those guys understand. That LPO roughing up that meth head I saw today understood that. My daughter used to work as a manager for Safeway in Whalley before they shut it down. She'd get in fights with crack heads stealing sh*t all the time. She was friends with several of the brown security guards and LPO officers. Technically they had a no chase no force caveat from their employer but they were like f*ck that. They were not afraid to get physical. They knew if they didn't those drug addicts would be literally walking out the door with grocery carts full of merchandise. Immigration is good. Promoting crime and addiction is not.

Larry Amero: Closing Arguments - Crime Doesn't Pay

Since we are waiting for Larry Amero's barrage of hail Mary appeals to be heard before he is sentenced for murder and the obscene abuse of process to finally end I thought it might be timely to submit a closing argument so to speak. Crime doesn't pay. Justice may be delayed but it will not sleep forever. In the end truth will prevail. It might not be in this life but when all is said and done, we are all accountable for what we do. As you sow, so shall ye reap.

Participating in the gang life is very high risk. It's kind of like spinning the roulette wheel or shooting craps. The pay off can be huge but so are the risks involved and greed kills. Greed is a double edged sword that kills both the victims and the assailant. Greed murders rivals to obtain a monopoly and make more profit. This goes for the drug trade as well as the oill industry.

Larry Amero's life is a Cautionary Tale. He's not a role model. He is the perfect example of a lifetime of bad choices. He could have, would have, should have but didn't. A spoilt yuppie from Walnut Grove who missed the boat. Well he did have a ridiculous boat but his ship sank.
Larry Amero said Jonathon Bacon was his best friend. That doesn't happen over night. As I said when I first began this blog, Larry Amero was friends with Jonathon Bacon before the Surrey Six. Larry Amero was the driving force behind it. Jonathon Bacon was a preppy a*s b*tch. If he was Larry's best friend, what does that make Larry? A spoilt brat from the burbs.

Jonathon Bacon was the brains behind the Bacon Brother's drug trafficking network. Jamie was a brainless ork and Jared was just an angry young man with no direction in life. Selling drugs while you're living in your parents basement is not very gangster. Neither is getting the 24 hour police protection while you do it. It's actually pretty lame so it is.

The Bacon brothers were not notorious. Anything but. That was a partisan misrepresentation by the fake news. They weren't from Surrey or welcome here. Jamie Bacon couldn't go to the gym without a bodyguard. He actually betrayed several former bodyguards and ordered hits on them. When the hit on DK failed Jamie had Jonathon lie to DK and say it wasn't them because they were afraid of him. They were afraid of DK for f*ck sakes. They were afraid of everyone.

The Bacon brothers did not run Surrey. Ever. The Red Scorpions worked for the UN and Jamie Bacon tried to tax them. Cory Lal laughed at him and told Jamie to f*ck off. That's why Jamie hired someone to kill him. Jamie was unable to tax Cory and was afraid of him.

While the Red Scorpions were running a dial a dope ring out of Surrey, Kerry Ryan was cooking crystal meth for the Hells Angels in Surrey. Jamie Bacon didn't dare try to tax Ryan. He wouldn't have just laughed at him, he would have eaten him for breakfast without a second thought. Ryan was already working for the club. Jamie was just trying to get a piece of the pie.

When Larry Amero was arrested he was sharing a penthouse suite with Robby Alkhalil. Robby Alkhalil and Dean Wiwchar have already been convicted of murder. Dean was a hitman and Robby referred to Dean as his best hitter. Robby worked for Larry Amero. Larry has been involved with planing many murders. Just like Jamie Bacon, Larry Amero is afraid of a lot of people. That's why he hires someone to kill people he's afraid of.

This all boils down to greed. These kids were spoilt brats from rich homes. Their greed and insecurity overtook them. They wanted to be something there weren't and in the end it destroyed them just like always. Crime is like a Shakespearean ponzi scheme. A poor player that struts and frets it's hour upon the stage then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing. If you want to be something do something but don't do that. That is a dead end. As Martin Luther King declared, anyone can be great because anyone can serve.

Guns, Cars and Cocaine in Ontario

The York Regional Police have been pretty busy. City News is reporting that "York Regional Police say they’ve recovered and repatriated 64 stolen vehicles valued at $3.5 million that were found in shipping containers in Europe destined for overseas sale."

"Project Majestic began in early 2021 and culminated with dozens of stolen vehicles being found in shipping containers in the Republic of Malta. Investigators say the vehicles were set to be sold illegally in Africa and Arab Emirates. The York police Auto Cargo Theft Unit says it collaborated with several other police and border agencies to identify a criminal syndicate responsible for stealing high-end vehicles, including Lexus, Toyota and Honda sport utility vehicles, from residential driveways across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).”

Well done. A coworker mentioned he saw a documentary a while ago about stolen cars from the GTA being sold somewhere in Africa. That's pretty organized crime and would require someone to have control over the ports. Kinda like someone we know. Nobody likes car thieves.
CP 24 is reporting that "York Regional Police (YRP) have arrested two Richmond Hill residents and seized almost $9 million worth of cocaine following a drug trafficking investigation dubbed Project Aries. The investigation began in September after police learned of two suspects believed to be in possession of large quantities of cocaine."

"In January, search warrants were executed at a Vaughan storage locker and at a residence in Richmond Hill, where the two suspects were arrested. Officers seized $8.9 million worth of cocaine, $260,000 in cash and $100,000 in luxury clothing." $100,000 in luxury clothing?!

"YRP released a video of the seized items on Thursday, showing dozens of bags of cocaine and stacks of $50 and $100 bills." I wish they'd just say how many kilos seized instead of dollar amount. It was a lot of cocaine judging from the pictures.
City News is reporting that "Police in York Region arrested two people and seized a stockpile of firearms, explosives, and other weapons, after a gun went off in a Markham apartment earlier this week. Officers responded to an apartment building in the area of Elgin Mills Road and Woodbine Avenue around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday. Investigators say residents heard a loud bang and called police. The responding officers were able to determine that a bullet had been fired into two neighboring units from an apartment on an upper floor."

That's almost funny. Sounds like an accidental discharge. Never load one into the chamber until you're ready to fire. As a result, they lost all of their guns. Just use snap caps inside. It's a lot safer. "Investigators executed a search warrant at that same unit and seized more than 40 firearms, a large amount of ammos, explosives, a crossbow, and brass knuckles. Kevin Lee, 43, of Markham, and Ophelia Cheung, 39, of Markham, are facing multiple weapons charges."

Crossbow, that's not for gang violence. That's just a novelty. Same with the brass knuckles. That's something a hillbilly buys to go with his nunchucks. They had quite a few very old rifles and quite a few modern ones. However, I want to address the misrepresentation of the explosives. I get it. Journalists don't know anything about guns. The headline reads "Weapons, explosives seized from Markham apartment after gun fired into neighboring units."

They make it sound like they intentionally fired at a unit and were ready to blow sh*t up. Yet if you look at the picture that wasn't the case at all. If you look at the picture they were exploding rifle targets. They weren't bombs to throw at people.

I have to admit I had to look on YouTube to see what they were because I've never used them. I usually shoot indoors. You use these when you are target shooting from very long range outdoors. From that distance you can't see the grouping on your target. So ya just shoot one of these and when it explodes, you know you hit the target. They're pretty safe when used properly.

Earthquake in Turkey and Syria

The Canadian Red Cross is reporting that "On Monday February 6 a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake tore through Gaziantep, Türkiye, impacting 10 provinces in the south and southeast of the country, as well as areas in northern Syria. The initial earthquake was quickly followed by a second earthquake and multiple aftershocks. The Red Cross Red Crescent is working to deliver emergency relief and to get help to those impacted by the earthquakes as quickly as possible."

I'm a bit late in reporting on the earthquake in Turkey and Syria mostly because I wasn't sure how to present it. The mainstream media coverage has been very disturbing. Earthquakes are horrible. The loss of life is one thing but pulling out survivors who have been trapped in the rubble for a few days is heart wrenching. What's made matter worse is that I've been watching American news in the lunchroom at work and doing cardio at the gym.

I thought Canadian media was bad but wow. The partisan sensationalism is completely out of control. Watching the American news is like watching a Hollywood movie. They're always trying to sensationalize another humanitarian crisis to get people to open up their purse strings then create heroes to make everyone feel good. I'm all for heroes but the way they present things is always suspicious. They politicize everything in a very partisan manner.

One case in particular there were highlighting the celebration of two men after one of them pulled out a survivor from the ruble. Their exuberance looked like actors. It didn't look real. Rescue work after an earthquake is very important but it's a horrible job. Most of the time you're pulling out dead bodies and are exhausted from digging. After a few days the stench from the dead bodies is unbearable. It's a very somber time.

When you do find someone alive I understand that is something to celebrate. It's just that Turkey has become a WEF ally. They invaded Syria after the Americans pulled out to stop Assad from building the second oil pipeline that Turkey wouldn't profit from and prevent the current manufactured energy crisis in Europe. Everything about their coverage is misrepresented.

I wasn't sure who to trust then I Googled Red Cross and remembered they are the ones I trust. The Red Cross Red Crescent is delivering aid as we speak. We remember how billions were sent to the Ukraine only to be diverted into the pockets of dirty business tycoons and Joe Biden's mid terms through FTX. The Red Cross Red Crescent are much more trustworthy.

Joe Biden blew up Nordstream

Pulitzer winner Seymour Hersh claims US Navy behind Nord Stream 2 pipeline explosion

The movie My Son Hunter with Gina Carano isn't about Hunter Biden's crack and prostitutes, it's about his father's shady business deals in the Ukraine that launder money for the Chinese Communist Party. The manufactured energy crisis in Europe was well planned and they want to do the same thing here in North America with their demonization of clean burning Natural gas. The US Biolabs in the Ukraine are tied to the Biden's business there. Metabiota is a a subsidiary of the Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz-founded Rosemont Capital.

Immigration and housing: Conflicting protests in Dublin

I made a post explaining why I support immigration but it appears that common sense has been thrown out the window and I need to make an obvious clarification. The Irish Mirror is reporting that "Anti and pro immigration protests take place in Dublin at the same time." However, the real issue is hidden and sinister. The pro immigration counter protest is hosted by "Anti Racism" NPO's demanding free housing for everyone. Can we not all see what this is really about?

We need to balance the extremes because these manufactured emergencies have a specific agenda behind them. Canada and the United States were built by hard working immigrants. The key word is hard working. The counter protesters claim to be anti racist, anti far right. Sound familiar? I'll give you a clue. They also want free housing for everyone. That's the kicker.

This clearly shows how we have all now crossed over into the Twilight Zone. When a mob of migrants invade a city, they have no right to demand free housing. This false promise of free housing for everyone is a sinister lie like their false claims of being anti racist. ANTIFA built the Berlin Wall. They claimed it was to keep the Fascists out but it was really to keep everyone prisoners and prevent them from escaping. These NPO's are Communist fronts with a very dark hidden agenda. I say dark because it is. Fascists and Communists are the same thing. The only difference is that the Fascists are honest about their quest while the Communists are not. Communism is an empire of lies because the father of all lies is the author if it.

Let's take a peak at the manufactured emergency in Venezuela the CIA created. The CIA are secret supporters of Globalism and the New World Order. Their world, their order. They don't oppose Communism, they just want to be the Communists in charge. Their mission is to hijack Communism to make sure it doesn't attain it's idealistic objectives.

The CIA and the WEF create global conflict to promote mass migration in an attempt to create a one world government - Communism. They'll lie to the workers, they'll lie the the LGBT, they'll lie the the Immigrants and everyone under the sun to obtain their objective of universal slavery in the name of freedom. You'll own nothing and be happy. You're own nothing because they'll take everything you own away from you. You'll be happy about it because they'll tell you to be.

So when I see NPO banners that read Anti Racist, Free Housing for All, I see that as a red flag. They have a dark agenda that is very racist and ensures the promotion of global poverty. The fake anti poverty committees are not trying to end poverty they're trying to make everyone poor.

Surrey police officer dies at Langley gun rage

I wasn't going to say anything about this but maybe I should. It's tragic. I was aware of a police incident at a gun range in Langley today. I had heard that a 26 year old kid committed suicide. That is tragic. I thought OK it must not have been a gun owner. Why would they go to the range to shoot themselves when they had the gun at home and they could have shot themselves anywhere. The thought of a young kid using a rented gun to commit suicide would have been very tragic. However, that's not what appears to have happened.

The Chilliwack Progress is reporting that an off duty police officer from Surrey died of a self inflicted wound. That's just as tragic but again, why would they go to the gun range to kill themself? I am somewhat familiar with that range. I have shot there several times. It's awesome.

There are a ton of cops that go there. They have two ranges. One regular one and one tactical one. You need to be law enforcement or take a few tactical courses to be allowed to shoot there. The reason being you can holster your firearm there and cross the firing line. I was like why on earth would I ever want to cross the firing line? Especially when surrounded by people I don't know on the safe side of the firing line. I decided to stick with the regular range. I'm not tactical. I'm just a target shooter. I'm kind of wondering if this was an accident. Either way it's tragic.

With the increased availability and government promotion of medically assisted suicide the topic of suicide has come up. That was the point of my Phoenix rising above the ashes post. That was the point behind Gina Carano's encouraging video she posted on Twitter.

When I fist heard it was a 26 year old kid my heart sank. I would have been like wait a sec. Do you want to try this gun? Or this one? Or that one? I'm sure we can find one here that you like. If you kill yourself you'll miss out on all these other opportunities. In fact you'll miss out on a whole lifetime of oportunities. Things might be bad, yeah, but thing can get better.

When I heard it was a cop from Surrey that created more questions. Was it a Surrey member who didn't want to transition to the RCMP because of bullying? Was it a female cop being sexually harassed by a supervisor? This is not a one off thing. This has all happened before and that is very concerning. If they went all the way to the gun range to commit suicide in front of coworkers that's kind of making a statement. A plea for help so to speak. We owe it to them to find out what the concern was. I don't believe Jasmine Thiara committed suicide. Neither did Brandy.

Update: CBC is reporting that "This individual, as a result of a Surrey RCMP investigation, was initially arrested on August 16th for an investigation that related to breach of trust," he said. "As a result of that, on the 17th of August, the Surrey Police Service suspended the officer with pay." Is that true? They set up Cameron Ortis on false charges because he was a whistle blower. People can get despondent when they are set up on false charges. Somehow I don't think Brenda Locke is the slightest bit concerned about all the documented harassment and bullying in the RCMP.

2nd Update: Twenty-six-year-old Dilbag “Dylan” Hothi previously served in the military.

Joe Biden One and Done

WABC Radio is repoiitng that "A majority of Democrats now think one term is plenty for President Joe Biden, despite his insistence that he plans to seek reelection in 2024. That’s according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. It shows just 37% of Democrats say they want Biden to seek a second term, down from 52% in the weeks before last year’s midterm elections. While Biden has trumpeted his legislative victories and ability to govern, the poll suggests relatively few U.S. adults give him high marks on either."

Meanwhile, back on the ranch, look at how the Canadian fake news is reporting it:
