Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer to resign imminently

Global is reporting that "Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer is resigning. But he says he will stay on as leader until his replacement is chosen and continue to serve as MP for Regina—Qu’Appelle. His resignation comes as a direct result of new revelations that he was using Conservative Party money to pay for his children’s private schooling, according to Conservative sources who spoke with Global News."

That is unfortunate. Andrew Sheer made huge gains in the last election. Gains that Jason Kenney most certainly would not have attained. Andrew Sheer received a higher over all popularity vote than Justin Trudeau. Thankfully Jason Kenny's popularity is nosediving so it is unlikely he will get his coveted dream of leading the federal conservatives as Sheer's replacement.

In Andrew Sheer's defense I will simply point out the obvious double standard. Christie Clark was receiving a salary from campaign funds in addition to her salary as Premier and even though that made the New York Times, nothing was done about it. She certainly could have used that additional salary to pay for her kids private school and she would not have resigned.

However, since he has announced his resignation as leader of the party, Green Justice nominates Thomas Mulcair for leader of the Federal Conservatives. Je me souviens. If you have the courage to embrace that, the Conservatives will win the next election. Mark my word.

Thomas Mulcair is a Quebecer that supports a balanced budget.

The Canadian Press' ridiculous claim that "the Conservatives will not win in Ontario and Quebec if they can't put up a leader who will march comfortably, and be welcome, in Pride parades" is indeed laughable. Do you really think it's important for French Catholics to see a leader comfortable dancing like an idiot in a Gay Pride Parade? Queberers care about Quebec. If you can't speak French they don't trust you to represent them. Brian Mulroney was from Quebec. He didn't dance in Gay Pride parades. Brian Mulroney is not what we want but we need someone from that region. The rest of the country is sick and tired of Alberta's me first rhetoric.

Hey Alberta, it's not all about you. Get over it.

Brian Edwards replaces Dwayne McDonald as head of Surrey RCMP

The Colverdale Reporting is reporting that "Chief Superintendent Brian Edwards has been selected as the new Officer in Charge of the Surrey RCMP detachment, the City of Surrey announced Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 11). A transition plan will see Edwards start in his new job on Jan. 6, 2020. He will be promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner upon assuming his new role, according to a news release."

“I welcome (Edwards) in his new role as Officer in Charge of Surrey RCMP,” Mayor Doug McCallum said in the release." “In his policing career spanning 24 years, (Edwards) has served with both RCMP and municipal police departments. His extensive experience in strategic and business planning will be an asset as Surrey transitions from the RCMP to a municipal police department.” McCallum is leading a charge to replace the RCMP in Surrey with a city police force." Exactly. That is what he was elected to do. Surrey is the largest city in Canada without it's own police force. Dwayne McDonald wasn't just a disappointment, he's on the wrong team.

Manitoba Hells Angel meth bust seized 22 kilos of crystal meth and 43 kilos of cociane

The Winnipeg Free Press is reporting that "A 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a Hells Angels Southland sticker on the front fender was on display at Tuesday's news conference, next to a table covered with bags of drugs and a Hells Angels vest and ballcap. MacLatchy linked the motorcycle gang to the scourge of meth in Manitoba." 22 kilos of crystal meth and 43 kilos of cocaine were seized in this operation. Kenny Erstelle Aka Gomer Pile who was arrested in this bust appears to be from the Southland chapter in Alberta. He's just another hillbilly.

These drug busts saves lives. BC doesn't do this because they are compromised.

Canada, Mexico and the US sign new trade deal

CTV is reporting that "Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland has signed on to an updated text of the renegotiated North American Free Trade Agreement on behalf of Canada at a ceremony in Mexico City." It's called the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement - USMCA.

Livingston International is reporting that NAFTA Chapter 11, investor-state dispute resolution mechanism (ISDS) eliminated between Canada and the United States. Three f*cking cheers! NAFTA Chapter 11 Compensation Awards was the most insane and costly scam for everyone involved. It was a full scale attack on democracy.

The new trade deal was actually signed November 30th 2018 but the Democrats have agreed to advance it through the house.

CSIS Acquitted in Air India Bombing

CBC reported that CSIS provided the explosives for the Air India bombing and had a handler that helped plan the attack. If CSIS hadn't provided the explosives, that mass murder never would have happened. Talking about Air India without mentioning that fact is misrepresentation.

Drug overdose at Brandon's City Manager's house

CBC is reporting that "The Brandon Police Service is investigating the sudden death this summer of a Manitoba woman who overdosed at the city manager's house. Christine Mitchell had been living at the home of Rod Sage, the chief administrative officer for the City of Brandon, for almost five years. The 30-year-old woman died in July after taking a lethal dose of purple heroin — heroin mixed with fentanyl, carfentanil or other opioids."

"Neighbours, who believe there was drug trafficking going on, say police were called last year about suspicious-looking people coming and going from Sage's house at all hours. Those worries escalated when a discarded needle was found on the street. "

CBC is also reporting that "Two men with criminal records that include convictions for weapons offences, drug possession and assault were believed to be living at Brandon CAO Rod Sage's home, according to documents obtained by CBC News. Joey John Werbowski, 40, gave Sage's address to a Brandon, Man., court in May. Werbowski was ordered to live there while out on bail."

During the investigation Rod Sage has withdrawn from the Brandon Police Board.

Biggest Hong Kong Protest in Months Signals More Unrest in 2020

Bloomberg is reporting that "Hong Kong saw its biggest pro-democracy protest in months on Sunday, signaling more unrest to come in 2020 as the movement that began in June to fight China’s increasing grip on the city shows its staying power."

As we previously reported, Hong Kong is defending its basic law. They are defending Hong Kong's Constitution which was created by the Sino-British Joint Declaration.

"The Sino–British Joint Declaration is an international treaty signed between the People's Republic of China and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on 19 December 1984 in Beijing. The Declaration stipulates the sovereign and administrative arrangement of then-British Hong Kong after 1 July 1997, when the lease of the New Territories was set to expire according to the Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory."

The BBC reported that "When Hong Kong was handed back to China on 1 July 1997, following more than 150 years of British control, the 'one country, two systems' principle was established as the foundation of the relationship. While Hong Kong is part of China, the policy has given the Special Administrative Region (SAR) a high degree of autonomy."

Supporting the extradition and execution of political prisoners for organ harvesting is evil.

Hong Kong's concerns are valid. Support them.

Canadians defended Hong Kong in 1941. We must do it again

Fatal shootings in Toronto and Calgary

CBC is reporting that "A man has died in hospital following a triple shooting on Highway 400 in North York on Saturday night, Toronto police say. The shooting left two other men seriously injured. The shooting between two moving vehicles happened in the southbound lanes between Steeles Avenue and Finch Avenue West."

The Calgary Herald is reporting that "Two people are in hospital after a shooting early Friday morning in the southeast community of McKenzie Towne. Two adult men were found inside a home there, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with minor injuries."

Police shot a man dead in Cochrane on Friday evening. After a man barricaded himself in his home "RCMP said alternative means were deployed to force the man out. When he exited the home, a confrontation occurred and, ultimately, an officer discharged their weapon and injured the man. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead en route to the hospital."

Andy Ruiz vs. Anthony Joshua: Joshua takes the decision

Anthony Joshua is boxing tactfully like a chess match. Andy Ruiz is consistent and stalwart. No matter what happens, I want to see more from both of these boxers in the future. Joshua is keeping his distance then jumping in with a clinch. Effective but cheap. Joshua is afraid of Ruiz's power and hand speed. Joshua will not engage him. He's just jabbing and clinching.

Joshua takes the decision by winning the rounds but he didn't engage Ruiz. A standard professional boxing ring is between 16 and 20 feet. This one in Saudi Arabia was 22 feet in Joshua's favor. Andy Ruiz had faster hands but slower feet.

Andy Ruiz mad hash respect. For a cheap thrill call Anthony Joshua.

Hats off to Dazn the new Netflix of sports. Lets see some more Mexicano boxing in Vancouver. I want to see Andy Ruiz fight again but I want to see him fight someone else. I want to follow his career. Andy is welcome in Vancouver. Nobody wants to watch a clinch master any more.

After round 7 Joshua started over using the clinch. With 42 seconds left in round 7 Joshua literally jumped in to clinch because at the end of round 4 and 6 he started getting tagged in the clinch before the ref separated them.

If you want to box someone and use your reach have at it but over using the clinch expecting the ref to separate you all the time is considered cheap in the new MMA world order. Joshua would like to mix it up with Ruiz but he can't win that way against Ruiz because Ruiz is better at that range then he is. Joshua showed great discipline staying out of that range but over using the clinch isn't something the new world likes to see any more. In MMA the fight begins in the clinch.

Joshua has skills and fitness. The Klitschkos are well respected but to get all cockey and go off about how he's the heavyweight champion of the world give me your money is unrealistic. He won on points. It was not a decisive victory to get all cocky about. Ruiz wasn't gassed. It looked like Ruiz was holding back. That might have been because he was frustrated he couldn't get his range but he was not as aggressive this fight then he was in the last.

In the First fight Joshua was seeing stars. Ruiz rock him. In this fight Ruiz barely broke a sweat. He was frustrated but he was not hurt. He was not phased. Ruiz's trainer wanted him at camp in July. He showed up in September. Joshua was in the gym the entire six months. In the first fight Joshua didn't take it seriously. In the second fight Ruiz didn't take it seriously. He was eating tacos with the Prince the night before the fight. He's still a people's champ.
