Toronto Police execute 70 year old gunsmith in his home

The Brantford Expositor is reporting that "Witnesses, neighbours and friends have identified a Norfolk man killed in an interaction with Toronto police this week as gunsmith Rodger Kotanko, 70. In a social media post on Wednesday, Toronto police said officers were executing a firearms search warrant at the time of the shooting."

"In a follow-up email Thursday, SIU spokesperson Kristy Denette said the interaction involved members of the Toronto police service. She said the Norfolk OPP were not involved. Donnell said Kotanko had expertise in the care and upkeep of both long arms and handguns. He said Kotanko occasionally did work for members of the Norfolk OPP."

Norfolk Today is reporting that "Question still remain after a 70-year-old Norfolk County man was shot dead in Port Dover following a police search. Gunsmith Rodger Kotanko was killed after Toronto Police executed a search warrant on the property. Longtime friend and neighbour Mike Valentine says the community spoke with us about the incident."

"When it comes to what went down, Toronto Police allegedly performing a no-knock search warrant that resulted in Rodger being shot and killed, Valentine said people who knew him can’t comprehend how this happened. Valentine said one of the things that makes this even harder is he was known for making sure to follow the rules, and cross all his t’s and dot his i’s in order to keep making a living." A no knock warrant is just for drug dealers.

Who issued a no knock search warrant for a 70 year of gunsmith? I want to see the warrant. His wife was home, he had a customer with him. There was no violent act. The police kicked in his door without knocking and shot him dead. There has to be some accountability over this murder.

A no knock warrant should not have been issued. Who do they think they are?

CTV is reporting that "Police in Amherst, N.S. are investigating a shooting on Monday afternoon that has left one person dead. The Amherst Police Department says they were called to a residence on Bayview Drive at approximately 2 p.m. on Nov. 8."

"Police say upon arriving, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the victim did not reside at the residence. Paramedics transported the victim to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre where they later died. Police arrested one person in relation to the shooting and say there is no further threat to the public."

Daylight Savings glitch on Google

OK this is weird. Last night I Googled Daylight Savings to confirm which direction I'm supposed to change the clocks so I'm not late for work. I know the computers and cell phones do it automatically but my clock radio doesn't. So I Google Daylight Savings and click on the second link that says Does daylight savings go back an hour or forward and this is what it said:

"Each year, the majority of the United States moves their clocks back one hour in March to conserve daylight hours and then forward in November, signaling the end of daylight saving time."

Then it linked to a Newsweek article it got the quote from. I was like WTF? What happened to spring forward, fall back? I start looking at other news articles that said the exact opposite. As I was multitasking and wanted a simple answer to a simple question, I was getting frustrated and said which is it? Then I realized the time change happened Saturday night not Sunday night so the computer had already adjusted to the right time. Newsweek was wrong and Google's crawler picked it up. I thought they fixed it this morning but now it still says it and Google cache still has the cached version of the Newsweek article they originally linked to.

However, if you clicked on the first link that says Are we gaining or losing an hour, it had the right answer. I guess this is Bill Gates new definition that claims there are no right or wrong a answers in math. Actually Mr Bill, there is. They just fixed it but the screen shot contains what it said.

Anthony Furey, the editor of the Toronto Sun posted a video about Justin Trudeau's crazy talk at Cop26 in Scotland. A global carbon tax is batsh*t crazy. We all know that carbon tax is just another scam for more tax. As I have explained, Socialists want more government, less freedom and more tax while Conservatives want less government, more freedom and less tax.

Anthony Furey pointed out that Justin Trudeau made these crazy statements outside of Canada at another global forum. This global forum contained his wealthy fake environmentalist friends that support industrial coal in Communist China. They have no desire to stop climate change. They simply want to bring about the economic changes to usurer in Communism.

If they cared about the environment, they would promote natural gas over industrial coal. That would be a colossal step forward in reducing global CO2 emissions. If Germany wants to twin their natural gas pipeline to Russia, have at it. Germany phasing out it's industrial coal plants with natural gas would be a huge step forward. Trump opposed that because he wanted to sell them American coal. Although Joe Biden is an idiot, not everything that Donald Trump did was right. We need to look at the issues and not give anyone a blank cheque.

The bottom line is that these global forums are Orwellian. It's all about using any excuse they can find to take more freedom away from us and give them more power and more money. Justin Trudeau has been reduced to a minority government for a reason. A lot of people hate him now. He received less votes than Andrew Sheer and Erin O'Toole.

He's pushing globalism because he wants more power and more money. He is a glutton. Justin Trudeau says he wants zero CO2 emissions. Human beings exhale CO2. What's he going to do, kill everyone on the planet? That will kill all the trees. They need CO2. The climate is changing. We're no longer in the ice age. That's a good thing. We all know that pollution is bad. Planting trees is good. Yet this obsession with globalization is far more concerning than climate change.

Alec Baldwin's accidental murder

There has been a lot more talk about the accidental discharge on the movie set of Rust where Alec Baldwin fatally shot a cinematographer. Rebel News recently posted an interview with a gun specialist with movie experience and so did Real America with Dan Ball.

Rebel News explained the difference between a dummy round and a blank. I had never seen a blank before so I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between a blank and a live round. Now I can. A dummy round is like a snap cap It's the same size as a real bullet but won't fire.

I was going to make two comments and will do so now. There are two things we learn in Canadian gun safety. The first is to always assume the gun is loaded. If someone hands you a gun and tells you it's unloaded, you are required to check it yourself to make sure it is unloaded. That's the same thing Dan Ball's father taught him when he was a child.

We have other rules like finger off the trigger and control the muzzle but the other comment I wanted to make is that we are taught to never point a firearm at someone. Ever. We always have to make sure the muzzle is pointed in a safe direction. The Americans have the same rule they just word it differently. The Americans say never point a firearm at anything you don't intend to kill or destroy. That applies to hunters and firearms used in self-defence.

As I previously said, someone is going to take the fall for Alec Baldwin and today's scape goat is a 24-year-old armorer on her second movie. The specialist in the Rebel News interview discussed the pressure directors put on armerors to cut corners. This young girl could have been easily intimidated. Since the crew had a walk out over gun safety that day, the directors bear the burden of responsibility for the lack of gun safety on set. He knew she was new.

Alec Baldwin should have checked the gun and should not have pointed it at anyone. He and the director bear the burden of responsibility for this tragic accident. Blaming the kid is a shameful disgrace. The Hollywood Reporter interviewed the staff that walked out before the fatal accident and confirmed the directors were insistent everything was rush rush rush.
