Shooting in Richmond

CBC is reporting that "a man is in hospital following a serious incident Friday night in Richmond, but police are revealing few details. The incident began around 11 p.m. PT Friday near Number 2 Road and Westminster Highway and closed down nearby Dover Park for hours. A trail of blood could be seen leading from the park to a nearby Chevron gas station. Numerous evidence markers covered the scene."

Yes I remember the Dover Park shoot out in 2007 well. It was before I started the blog. I tied white balloons around the park and held a press conference on site calling for a cease fire. It was a park in the middle of a residential housing complex with a day care on site. A local Persian gang were targeted by another group with automatic weapons.

Update: News 1130 is reporting that "Police say a shooting in Richmond on Friday night appears to be targeted and gang related." The man who was shot is well known to the police, has gang ties and is not cooperating with the investigation.

  1. The HAs have rivals in Winnipeg and Ontario but they have no rivals in BC.

  2. Yes Australia has lots of HA rivals. I don't see them coming to BC myself. The problem is their rivals are no better then they are so why support their rivals?

  3. If additional gangs try to move into the "market" all we will get is more gang violence. Not a good thing at all. We might even get gangs which are worse than the H.A. and if you don't think that is possible, just have a look at El Salvador.

    1. I agree more gangs would mean more violence but I have a hard time swallowing some of the doom and gloom the GTF was spreading doing PR for the HAs. The Mexican Cartel is not here they are in Mexico. If people here sell drugs that they got from Mexico they would be locals not cartel members. El Salvador is hard core but that is El Salvador.

  5. I can't get that page to load but I do remember someone saying something about the Rebels trying to start up in Salmon Arm. I haven't heard much more than that. I don't see it happening myself. BC is very multicultural and they use a Confederate flag for a logo. They won't get very far in the city.

  6. Ah so he survived the 2007 shooting. There were Persian gang members that lived in the complex back in 2007. If this guy is affiliated with the UN it must be a very loose affiliation. IE he might be supplied by them but the crew that were suspects in the 2007 shooting doesn't have beef with the UN to my understanding.

  7. I had trouble too - I think it is the scripting used on the first page that does not load very well. If you scroll down there is a "skip intro" text button you can click on to get into the site.

  8. the shooter is named Thomas Duong aka "Gucci". The victim is actually one of his top lieutenants. It was a contracted hit and Gucci being the poor underpaid little assassin that he is took the contract on one of his most loyal guys. All have affiliations with the U.N gang but Gucci typically works for the highest bidder, regardless of sides.
