Quebec doesn't want Alberta Tar Sands Bitumen

CBC is reporting that "Quebec doesn't want another pipeline, François Legault tells Jason Kenney." Quebec is fine with Natural Gas but not Tar Sands bitumen. So lets do a count, Chicago doesn't want Alberta Tars Sands Bitumen, neither does Detroit, BC or Quebec. Mike Smyth is still a lying POS. It's not John Horgan against the world it's Jason Kenny against the world. Hitler tried it once but it didn't work out for him. Tar sands bitumen is not ethical.

Here's a present for Jason Kenney from Surrey with Love:

Yo Brokeback Mountain, how many bullets you got?

Exposing Alberta's lies once and for all

  1. Montreal Simon has a lovely post up about Kenney, no cowboy hat, but a lovely red dress.

We don't need more tar. Its bad for the environment. What I did notice about Scheer and the 4 Premiers who don't like the carbon tax, is they're all middle aged well to do, if not wealthy, white boys. They don't speak for the majority of Canadians.

If its jobs people are worried about, they can start by cleaning up the abandoned wells. Ought to employ a few thousand people.

it will be interesting to see what Albertans will do when they realize Kenney can't deliver on his promises? Although I expect by then, Scheer will have lost the election and Kenney will be running for the leadership of the Cons.

    1. I don't like the carbon tax either because it has nothing to do with protecting the environment. It's just another veiled excuse to raise taxes.

    2. With upwards of 150,000 orphan wells that need to be cleaned up after, the costs will likely exceed 100 billion.
Once again the corporations privatize the profits and socialize the losses.
The globe and mail had an interesting story last year laying out the fraud.

  2. Targeting the only "race" that's socially acceptable to do so to - sounds like you've drunk their kool-aid. And throwing gender bias in there as well. Not to mention ageism and class distinction.

It's division that's ensuring society is as fragmented as it is and you're right there stoking it. (Yet not understanding how... The forest for the trees and the sliver in another's eye - but hey, it's socially acceptable. It's not like we'd want to be a rebel and utilize criterion-based thinking, or anything.)

    2. This was in response to EAFs identity politics and virtue signalling rant above against white males.

    3. OK that makes more sense. I totally oppose the carbon tax because it's just another tax grab. It doesn't matter what color Kenny is. That guy is burning bridges all around him. BC is done with him. Quebec doesn't like him either.

  3. my point was these 5 guys don't care about the future, they're white privileged males. they're well to do if not wealth. most of us have nothing in common with them and they don[t really care about us except to get our votes. they don't care about carbon or climate change because when things go sideways they have enough money to move on. others don't. thy don't care about Indigenous people and how they live. they don't care about farmers and their families who won't be able to grow crops or have their crops flooded. these 5 white guys are different from the rest of us. if Watson's house is flooded he has a problem. don't know about you Smythe, but most of us will have problems if our homes are flooded, unless you're those 5 white guys. there are still neighbourhoods in New Orleans which haven't recovered. the areas which are the last to be dealt with are usually the neighbourhoods where people of colour live.

climate change impacts those lower on the economic scale. when we have forest fires, who does it hurt first? those living off the land, those who ranch, those who are retired and live in more remote areas because its less expensive. those 5 guys--the most that might burn down is there vacation home.

don't worry I've been accused of having attitudes constituent with white privilege. I'm trying to be more careful with my words.

    1. I don't think they don't care about the future. I think it's just that they have different visions for the future. There's a funny documentary called Political Blind Date where Rob Ford and Jagmeet Singh hang out. It's pretty good. It helps us understand our differences: https://www.tvo.org/video/documentaries/ep-2-transit
