Woman must pay $67K for Facebook posts suggesting neighbour a pedophile
CTV is reporting that "A British Columbia woman has been ordered to pay more than $65,000 after making unfounded accusations over Facebook suggesting her neighbour was a pedophile who set up mirrors and cameras in his backyard to spy on her children. In his ruling, Justice Anthony Saunders describes how the Abbotsford neighbours' relationship began to deteriorate after Pritchard approached Van Nes in 2011 about turning off a newly-built backyard pond and waterfall at night, which he said interrupted his wife's sleep."
"Pritchard and his wife were eventually advised by the municipality to document their complaints after a series of worsening unneighbourly conduct by Van Nes and her family. The court document says those efforts, along with the installation of a decorative mirror, prompted Van Nes to take to Facebook, which she described as a form of "venting." Van Nes removed her defamatory comments after about 27 hours but the ruling says by then the damage had been done, including one member of the community contacting the principal of the school where Pritchard worked about the allegations."
"The seriousness of Ms. Van Nes's defamatory Facebook post, her replies, and the comments of her friends cannot be overstated, Saunders writes. An accusation of pedophilic behaviour must be the single most effective means of destroying a teacher's reputation and career, not to mention the devastating effect on their life and individual dignity. He now faces the challenge of repairing the damage Ms. Van Nes has caused, if that is even possible at this point. The judgment awards Pritchard $50,000 in general damages, $15,000 in punitive damages and $2,500 for his nuisance claim. It also orders the Van Nes household to turn off the waterfall in the backyard pond nightly between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m."
Compare that with what Blaze posted on the Dirty. Blaze said that if you search the BC CSO you will see that I was charged with sexual interference of a minor. He didn't think that people would actually follow the link and find out he was lying. There were no charges. He made it up.
Then Ace Ventura gets a brainstorm. He finds a Dennis Lance Watson who was charged with child molestation in Des Moines, Washington. My middle name is not Lance and the guy doesn't even look like me. My middle name is James. It's on my coat of Arms. Ace Ventura says oh that doesn't mean anything. Of course it does. I had to present ID to the Chief Herald of Canada for them to put it on my coat of arms. That's my own personal grant not one of my ancestors.
Knowing that it is not me Ace Ventura lies and claims I have been hiding my real middle name for years. That is defamation. But that's OK because I'm not spending the $5,000 to sue his worthless ass. Others will. I'll just point out that a warrant has been issued for his arrest and he is still in hiding. Thankfully no lie can live forever and truth will prevail. Peace.

lets see if you post this comment being that you refused to post the rest of my comments where I clearly told you off. As much as I think that you are just a little too mouthy for your own good, I do not believe in calling people child molesters when they are not. That is a pretty serious allegation to make of a person. I will have to agree with you that you are not this Dennis 'James' Watson character. I was interested to find out if you were indeed the world's biggest goof so I looked very carefully at those pictures of you and the other guy posted on the neer do well blog. That guy has bags under his eyes and a very distinctive hair line. As you can see though slander isn't too fun when its directed against you, so kkep that in mind as you continue to write about others
ReplyDeleteI am Dennis James Watson. The pedophile guy's middle name is Lance. Slander is saying something about someone that is untrue. Telling the truth isn't slander. Saying that Blaze is a convicted woman beater and was charged with trafficking crystal meth is absolutely true. Saying he lied about his whereabouts the night Joey shot Britney in the back is absolutely true.
DeleteI did quote him when he said he was with Joey when "they" killed her. Slander can also be defined as saying something that is true if you can't prove it or if you aren't willing to put your witness on the stand and put their life at risk. Posting someone's name when they are charged with a criminal offence and have drugs seized is not slander. The three biggest cases I have written about was naming Bob Roth and the group that murdered him and why as well as spotlighting David Giles and Dominic Dipalma Jr for cocaine trafficking. Everything I said in those posts came true.
You didn't quote Don Mcwhirter saying such a thing. You quoted an anonymous poster saying that. If you did actually quote Don Mcwhirter saying such a thing he would have been arrested and charged as a co-conspirator. There is no statute of limitations to indictable offences and the police are capable of tracing I.P. addresses. You have no proof that the poster is Blaze, you only assume so. I can tell you flat out that a lot of shady action went down in the world of gangsters. You write enough about this coast to coast war to understand that people are dying in it. On the streets and in the jails. Do you not think that deception is part of the gang world? Do you not think that people are smart enough to use social media, and other media outlets, as an opportunity to create unnecessary drama? Things are what they are, but they may not always be what they seem. When someone is convicted of a crime, they will pay the price that our society's laws demand. Stick to the facts and leave it at that. You aren't making the world a better place by writing unfounded or unproven assumptions that cause friction between people. You are only drawing negative attention to yourself. Food for thought.
DeleteSticking to the facts is fair comment. However, I do believe Blaze was present when Joey shot Britney. I quoted someone pretending to be Blaze and I have reason to believe that actually was Blaze. The police do too. The gang task force called me up asking me for his ip number so they could follow up on him. I said are you kidding me? I don't have his IP. Can't you get a search warrant for that? Won't Harper's billion dollar spy palace share it with them? Evidently not. Evidently they only spy on you for your political opinions and won't share that with the police if you are suspected of committing a crime.
DeleteYou might be smart enough to use facebook for disinformation but Blaze isn't. He has the mentality of a child and is easy to read. I did see a scanned copy of a letter from Joey Verma to Blaze sent while Joey was in prison claiming he was doing the time for someone else:
http://gangstersout.blogspot.ca/2015/05/a-letter-from-joey-verma-omerta.html
Thought u might find this interesting http://m.thestar.com/#/article/news/canada/2016/04/21/hamilton-cop-alleges-betrayal-by-his-force.html one of the informants James Malone is a ex hells angels from hamilton another example of a under cover rat pretending to be a real deal biker.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, thanks for the link. Sounds like what happened to Jay Dobyns. They both got screwed over by the very law enforcement agency who hired them to go under cover.
DeleteAlthough I respect law enforcement and understand the need for undercover work, that's not my thing. My advice to people is leave the life without becoming a police informant. We all know that the Hells Angels sell drugs. That has been well proven. Now we can only help inspire individuals to leave that life and have a fresh start. You can only do that if you pay your bills and keep your mouth shut.
Joey is paying the price for what he is convicted of doing. So is his wife and his daughter. If he is truly guilty he deserves to pay this price, but what point is there in spreading more hatred and animosity. You claim to be a religious man do you not? Jesus says to love your enemies. Now that may be a little far fetched in all reality, but it is not far fetched to simply respect your enemies. You know the old saying. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. If more people would learn to behave in this reasonable fashion there would be far less people getting killed over nothing. Whatever though, do as you wish. It is not me that has to live with the consequences of your actions.
ReplyDeleteHere's' the math: If Joey had an accomplice, that person should be charged and tried as well. The court heard wiretap evidence where Joey said he had to do it. He had no choice. If we are interested in the pursuit of justice we should in good conscience investigate who ordered the hit.
DeleteI never said I was religious. I was kicked out of church. I believe in God but hesitate when it comes to organized religion. I'm more of a Thomas Paine who is passionate about the freedom of religion. As for the saying if you can't say anything nice, that has it's time and place. Wouldn't work against Hitler or organized crime. Right before Christ was crucified he publicly denounced the religious leaders at the time calling them liars and hypocrites. That's when they slandered him and crucified him. Christ was a profound activist who walked the walk. Peace.
If "just sayin" is so unhappy with you, what you write, the blog, etc. one does have to wonder why he comes to the blog. Most people read blogs because they are entertaining, provide them information, can discuss the topic, etc.
ReplyDeleteNow as to "just sayin"'s last sentence, that is rather weird. Yes, there was some one who decided to sue the blogger, but really that wasn't so much about what was written, in my opinion, but rather a method of flexing financial muscle against some one they didn't like.
"respect your enemies"????? where did that ever come from. Respect is something which is earned and most of the people in life who are some one's enemies usually haven't earned any respect and certainly not of the person involved. Respect your enemies, oh, my god. There is a line in the bible about loving your enemies as yourself, but that is very far from respecting them.
that is not to say in some cases one could not respect their enemies qualities. i.e. some generals respected Rommel's ability as a commander, but that is very different from respecting him.
e.a.f. since you don't seem to grasp my meaning let me make it simple for you. The bible says 'love your enemies' just as I said it does in my post. Now I am not a religious man myself, but I do understand religion and respect the moral lessons that can be found within. "respect your enemies" are my own words, along with if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. It is easy enough to respect someone EVEN IF you don't like them. Its simple really. You just leave them to their own devices and don't bother taking the time out of your own day to spread hate about them. Now loving someone is a little deeper than that I would think. I don't know about you, but I will personally do anything for a person that I love. I will bend over backwards to help them. I think that love and respect go hand in hand, but I also think that love is much deeper. So with that said, maybe you now understand why I said it may be far fetched to actually 'love your enemies'. No one really wants to bend over backwards to help their enemies. Hope that clarifies things for you, and have a great day.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, now we are diving into the philosophical realms of Christianity. A little better than the troll mudslinging. Martin Luther King, who unlike me was religious, spoke about loving your enemies. He said it's pretty hard to like someone burning your home or lynching your family. He then explained Jesus said love and that love was greater than like. I can accept your definition of respect your enemies. As EAF has pointed out, in the Rocky movies, boxers can have respect for opponents yet it is difficult to respect someone selling crack or exploiting the disadvantaged. It's the old love the sinner hate the sin explanation.
DeleteI guess EAF was curious as to why you care about my blog if you're opposed to it. Wanting to forgive and forget Blaze for promoting the gang life and mocking the murder of Brittney Irving is a we bit questionable. In my non religious opinion that wouldn't be Christian it would be dysfunctional. No offense.
"No one really wants to bend over backwards to help their enemies. " I guess that depends what you want to help them with.
DeleteHelping them further or even just to continue to function in the criminal lifestyle is one thing (and doing that is not helping them, objectively speaking).
Helping them see the true error of their ways and overcome that lifestyle would be truly helping.
It could be likened to a person standing on railroad tracks and they are facing away from the train that is coming down the tracks - out of charity you warn them of the danger, regardless of how much you may be disturbing or interrupting their act of standing their in enjoyment. You do that for them, because you would want someone to do that for you.
That is charity and that is love.
I didn't say anything about forgiving anyone for condoning or taking part in murder. All I am saying really is that nothing has been proven and you, me and everyone else out there who has their two cents to put in are not his judge and jury. We do have a legal system in place to take on that role. Whatever though each to their own.
ReplyDeleteNo worries. Blaze is a person of interest in criminal activity and the police are aware of that. It will be interesting to hear how his upcoming trial goes.
