Jamie Bacon in court

I was in court today filing papers and noticed Jamie Bacon was in courtroom 67. They wouldn't let me in. It's in camera. That means it's closed to the public. They said it has been in camera for two months. That is an abnormally long time to be in camera. This is the climax of the Surrey Six murder trial. Jamie Bacon was the ring leader. OK he wasn't the ringleader he was the ork but out of all those charged he was the ringleader. The whole tragic event happened because he was trying to tax Corry Lal on behalf of you know who.

We know that this case was separated from the others because the police screwed up and slept with a key witness. Yet letting him off because of a police screw up would be a horrible miscarriage of justice. It would be a complete betrayal of public trust and the mother of the innocent son that was murdered that day.

New developments in Surrey police shooting

There have been new developments in the resent police shooting in Surrey where a suicidal youth was shot dead by police and an officer wounded. Tragic developments. First he wasn't suicidal. That was a bold faced lie fabricated to cover up what really happened. I have sources which confirm this which CBC has also reported.

The name of the youth shot dead by police is Hudson Brook. He was a skateboarder leaving Bakerview park at 2:00 AM. The same park that was a known hang out for youth where Dario Bartoli was assaulted and murdered last December. A witness woke up to sounds of Hudson screaming hysterically "Help me they're trying to kill me" as he was running away from the park towards the cop shop. The witness saw him running and was going to get dressed to see if he needed help. Then heard six or sevel gunshots and went back inside.

Now a very different story emerges. He was not suicidal he was scared for his life. He did not have a weapon in his possession. So why was he shot dead and how did the police officer get shot? Blog readers speculated friendly fire. I now have a source that claims the rookie cop that was first on the seen tried to calm him down by yelling commands at him. Hudson was hysterical and did not obey their immediate command so the officer pulled out their service revolver and shot themselves in the leg by accident while doing so.

My source then claims the officer frantically called for help shouting officer down I've been shot. That's when Hudson was shot dead. The second account has yet to be confirmed but the previous witness statement supports it. If Hudson did not have a gun the officer had to have either shot themselves by accident or shot another officer by accident. Neither of which explains why they shot the unarmed youth dead then made up the story about him being suicidal.

July 21st the White rock Sun reported that the day after the shooting the police station was spray painted with the words Kid Killer and Justice for Hudson. This is indeed tragic. It was indeed a tragic accident. The public has a right to know if the suspect had a weapon and who shot the officer. That cannot be hid from the public any more.

Port Mann bridge insanity

Did you see what they did to the new Port Mann bridge? They totally screwed it up not once but twice. It used to be pretty straight forward. You cross over the bridge and take the exit to Coquitlam. Now the Coquitlam exit is before the bridge and they have partitioned off two entire lanes across the entire bridge just for that exit.

Now they've done the exact same thing for the Surrey exit on the other side. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my entire life. They have this magnificent multi lane bridge and they screw it up with insane partitions on both sides of the bridge. This is the prime example of putting someone in charge who has absolutely no idea what they are doing.

Kinda like tearing down the new multi level parking lot at the Surrey Memorial hospital they just built only to build a new parking lot. Your tax dollars hard at work. Not.

Sweatshop in China making the iPhone 6

A coworker was explaining to me a recent episode of the Passionate Eye he saw called Apple's Broken Promises that took an inside look at a sweatshop in China that makes the new iPhone 6. The mistreatment of the employees in our day is absolutely astounding. The same thing happened at a facility that manufactures aluminum casings for the MacBook and iPad in China. That is the epitome of greed. Apple is one of the wealthiest corporations in the world that has a complete monopoly on the iPhone. There is absolutely no need other than greed to make them in a sweatshop where human rights are violated so brazenly. This is where FIPA is taking us.

Victoria Police test the New York Model

The Times Colonist is reporting that "Victoria police have charged 16 people after an undercover sting targeted drug dealers who were selling around homeless shelters. The six-week operation, which wrapped up on Wednesday, was in response to a dramatic increase in aggressive drug dealing in front of the Rock Bay Landing shelter on Ellice Street and Our Place drop-in centre on Pandora Avenue. Police found the bulk of the drug dealers were linked to a street-level gang that uses violence and intimidation."

“The level of violence had increased to such a degree that we weren’t just hearing from the service providers, we were hearing from the clientele, who said: 'I’m not going by the shelter anymore — it’s too dangerous,' ” said Insp. Scott McGregor, who heads the department’s downtown beat and bikes unit, which carried out the operation. Don McTavish, Cool Aid’s manager of shelter programs, said a few months ago, staff at Rock Bay Landing noticed a group of drug dealers hanging out on the block who refused to leave. The situation was so bad that some clients felt unsafe using the shelter, he said."

“Where we have to draw the line is on violence, on trafficking, on the aggression that makes the whole neighbourhood unsafe, McTavish said. McGregor said it’s intolerable to see opportunists profiting off of the illness and sickness of some of the people who have to access these facilities.”

This is exactly what's happening outside a homeless shelter in Surrey called the Front Room and in the DTES. Only it has been going on there for years. Insp. Scott McGregor mentioned service providers. He's referring to the sex trade workers there who are being brutalized by these predatory drug dealers as we speak. This is where the drug dealers are the pimps. They give the sex trade workers crack then take all their money when they get a trick to pay for the drug. There is nothing consensual about it. It is human trafficking and exploitation.

Ya see, not all cops are bad. Not all bikers are bad either. We need to set aside the stereotypes and confront the violence at it's root cause. That is the New York Model.

Police-involved shooting in Surrey

CTV is reporting that "at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to reports of a suicidal man yelling on the streets in the city’s south end. Officers found the man and a 'physical struggle ensued,' the RCMP said in a statement. An officer shot the man, who died from the wound. One of the officers involved was also wounded by a gunshot, and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The RCMP said the officer is expected to be released later today. It is unclear who shot the officer, and the RCMP said the circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation." From the picture it was outside the Fleetood library.

1130 News is reporting that "Surrey Mounties were called out around 2:30 to reports of the man screaming outside an RCMP detachment office on 152nd Street near 18th Avenue." Tell me the cop wasn't shot by the other cop by accident.

News 1130 is reporting that the police found a dead body in Vancouver last night in Andy Livingstone Park around Expo Boulevard and Carrall Street. Police believe the man was the victim of a homicide.

Abbotsford Shooting

The Abby News is reporting that "Five bullets struck a residence in Abbotsford early this morning (Saturday) but nobody was injured."

New pipeline leak in Alberta spills 5 million litres

CBC is reporting that "One of the largest leaks in Alberta history has spilled about five million litres of emulsion from a Nexen Energy pipeline at the company's Long Lake oilsands facility south of Fort McMurray. The leak was discovered Wednesday afternoon."

CTV is reporting that "The spill has affected about 16,000 square metres along the pipeline route near Nexen's Long Lake operations."

This is what people are concerned about happening in British Columbia. Voters who express those concerns are not terrorists. They have every right to express those concerns and every right to a fair trial when the government removes that right illegally.

RCMP shoot site C protester dead in Dawson Creek - Update

Global is reporting that “According to the police, officers were responding to a report of a male causing a disturbance at a public information session being held by BC Hydro in the 500 block of Highway 2 in Dawson Creek. The male had reportedly been damaging property and disrupting the event.” The suspect was wearing a mask and they shot him dead. Holy gestapo batman this is why we oppose Bill C-51. That is insane. This is why we oppose gun control.

I personally support the Site C dam. I think hydro electric dams are way better than nuclear reactors. Vancouver has a long history of green energy from dams- Clevland dam at the foot of Grouse mountain, Alouette lake, Stave lake. However, I realize many locals in the Peace River valley oppose the plan and they have every right to express their concerns. I also recognize that the concern about the plan being used to gather water for fracking is a very valid concern as well.

Update: Some people are claiming that the person the police shot dead was a member of Anonymous. The Free Thought is claiming the suspect was wearing a Guy Faux mask. The thing is we can see him sitting on the ground. We can't see any threatening moves being made with a knife if he even really had one. They claim Anonymous has threatened to fight back. Its hard to tell if that's a fake provocateur plant or not but the statement they made said they would fight back not shoot cops. Fighting back could mean many things including taking legal action against the police officers involved. Randomly shooing cops is not the answer. It appears that their first course of action is to identify the police officer that did the shooting and expose his information on the Internet. Stay tuned. This is not over yet.

Revolution News is reporting that "The IIO says police arrived on scene and encountered a man wearing a mask outside the restaurant, and believed him to be connected to the complaint. At some point, a confrontation occurred and police shot the masked man. He was taken to the hospital where he later died of his wounds, according to the IIO." No mention of a knife just a "confrontation." But the video shows he was sitting down on the ground wearing a mask. There was no confrontation with the police other then them shooting him.

This whole mask thing is a bit of a controversy in itself. Stephen Harper has made it illegal to wear a mask at a political demonstration. This illegal law has yet to be tried in the courts. I can understand the intent of the law. We don't want people wearing masks at protests when they are involved in criminal activity like vandalizing or looting whether they be activist, criminal or provocateur.

Yet making it illegal to wear a mask or costume in a peaceful protest is way over board. You can charge someone with wearing a mask while committing a criminal offense like vandalizing or looting but you can't charge someone for wearing one at a peaceful protest. Well you can but the court will throw it out. This matter needs to be tried in the courts. You certainly are not legally authorized to shoot someone dead for wearing a mask while sitting on the ground waiting to be arrested. That is murder. Anonymous has every right to lobby for a fair trial.

Operation Anon Down is confirming that the protester who was shot dead by the RCMP was a member of Anonymous and a member of First Nation Treaty 8. This murder was a colossal mistake. It is at this point where I will hereby make a passionate appeal for calm. We all need to fight this. Together. Lawfully. Sue their asses off. We are Canadian. We will fight for our freedom but we will not murder innocent people to obtain that freedom. The officer involved needs to be charged and tried. Do not start shooting random cops. That will solve nothing and will diminish all of us. Fight we must but we also must be wise about how we engage this fight. Peace.

Suspicious death in Coquitlam

The Vancouver Sun is confirming a scan BC report that there has been a possible homicide in Coquitlam. IHIT has taken over the investigation. Yesterday a City worker was shot dead in Burnaby but it wasn't gang related. It appears to be linked to threats made by a coworker. Tragic indeed. It made page six of today's Vancouver Province.

Surge in Surrey Drug Overdoses

CBC is reporting that "Police in British Columbia are advising drug users to be cautious, after at least eight people in Surrey overdosed on drugs within 24 hours. Surrey RCMP said the drug ingested was thought to be heroin, but analysis has not yet been done to confirm that no other substances were involved. Police have not yet said whether the drug fentanyl is believed to be involved, as it was in past overdose warnings."

Here's a crazy idea. Why don't we arrest the drug dealers selling the bad heroine publicly outside the Front Room beside the needle exchange instead of just issuing a warning with a free needle?

MP admits CSIS knew about the bomb on Air India

Today 1130 News is reporting a very important revelation. The headline reads: Canadian spies knew about bomb on Air India plane. The article states "A Conservative MP says Canada’s spy agency knew there was a bomb on the Air India plane that later exploded in midair, killing 329 people." That is a true statement. It is in essence a public confession of guilt because they didn't only know about the bomb, their handler provided it.

Then comes the Neo Con spin: The article also states: "In a late June speech at a Vancouver church, Tory MP Wai Young says the laws at the time prevented the Canadian Security Intelligence Service from telling the RCMP about the explosive device in June 1985." That is a lie. They were under a moral and legal obligation to notify the RCMP and remove the bomb. Now they can be formally sued for criminal negligence.

And finally the one two punch is delivered. That lie is followed by the ultimate lie selling the Devil's Blasphemous Deal: "Young told the service at Harvest City Church that, as a result, the Mounties could not remove the bomb from Air India Flight 182. She said the government’s recently enacted Bill C-51 remedied the problem by allowing greater information-sharing between agencies." Oh the cunning plan of the evil one! That is a malicious lie.

Admitting CSIS knew about the bomb on the Air India flight admits culpability in that heinous crime. Lying to the public will not save them in court. In the House of Commons you can get kicked out for calling someone a liar even if they are in fact lying. Not in a court of law. When you prove someone is lying in a court of law they can be charged with perjury.

CSIS had a handler that not only helped plan the Air India attack, he provided the explosives. Revoke the illegal spy bill which violates the Canadian Charter of Rights and Charge CSIS with murder. This public lie is an admission of guilt.

God is the author of liberty. Stephen Harper is an anti Christ.

The Drums of Jericho shall return. Tiocfaidh ar la.

Update: The latest lie is the MP has now changed their story and said they made an error. That fails the test of believability. They used that lie as the foundation for their argument rationalizing giving up civil liberty in Bill C-51. The fact that CSIS knew in advance about the bomb on Air India was the only true part of their argument. The CBC and the RCMP already reported that fact. They were using a known fact to sell their illegal bill. Kill Bill C-51.

Castanet is confirming the MP's original statelent to the church congregation.

New Horizons

Vox dot com is reporting that "At 7:49 am ET today, the unmanned spacecraft flew within 7,750 miles of Pluto, taking high-resolution photos of its surface and collecting all sorts of scientific data. But we won't see any of these photos until Wednesday afternoon because the craft will be focusing on data collection — not transmission — during the brief flyby."

Nasa released this image right before the fly by. It took nine years for the spacecraft to get there.

I didn't realize Pluto lost it's planet status in 2006.

The New Syndicate MC in Fort Mcmurray

It appears that a Cape Bretoner named Kevin Faulkner now runs the Syndicate MC in Fort Mcmurray. They work for Steven Szomszed who is a Nomad in Red Deer. The other chapter that was in the news of late for a brutal murder in Greece. Seemingly three of their guys jacked someone and took their drugs. Unbeknown to them the drugs belonged to East End HA. They ripped off one of East ends couriers in Fort Mac. Nobody said they were that smart. Nomad Steve Szomszed apparently covered it up with some bullshit story to his so-called HA brothers. L&R Not.

Surrey Shootings - Update

#Surrey #RCMP are investigating a report of multiple shots fired into a building at 18700 Fraser Hwy. No reports of people hit. CTV is confirming that COBS Bread in the 18800 block of Fraser Highway was shot at just after 2 a.m. Sunday. One worker was inside the bakery at the time but wasn’t hurt. 24 hr News has some pictures.

The Vancouver Province is reporting that there was another one a few blocks over on Highway number 10 where gunfire was exchanged between vehicles and two residences were hit although no one was hurt 10 PM Saturday.

The Vancouver Province is reporting that The Highway 10 shooting occurred just a day after another targeted drive-by shooting in the 5700-block 152nd Street on Friday night that left two men injured. The men were sitting outside their home when more than 30 rounds were fired at the house, one bullet grazing one man in the head and another hitting the other man in the foot, said a relative. A dark-coloured sedan was seen fleeing the scene.

The Vancouver Province is also reporting that there was another shooting in Surrey Sunday night which resulted in a fatality. OK I had this one backwards. Kim Bolan is reporting that someone was shot trying to defend their home. I thought the person defending the home shot the intruder. It's the other way around. Perhaps now is a good time to get rid of gun control.

Getting to know the unknown God

I'm going off into deep outer space on this one. Most of you will want to skip over this post. Today I attended a very interesting sermon in the United Church of Canada by a minister who quoted a Vancouver Sun article about a United Church Minister named Gretta Vosper who is a self professed atheist. I had missed both the article and the controversy surrounding Gretta.

The Minister claims the article in the Vancouver Sun accused the United Church of terminal kindness by accepting Gretta's insanity. I have to agree. However, I will say that there are many worse causes of death in this world than terminal kindness. Although I passionately believe in the life of Christ, I am not very big on doctrine. I don't care if the pearly gates swing or slide. What we need to concern ourselves with is living the kind of life here on earth that will see us pass through those gates in the hereafter. To that end I think the United Church has a lot going for it.

Yes we can be too tolerant of sin and crime for that matter. Yet we can be too intolerant as well. Martin Luther King coined the phrase that the old law of an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. That is very true. However, Gretta has gone a bit over board. I'm all for the freedom of religion. People have every right to be atheist. It's just that if you are going to proclaim to be a United Church Minister and deny the existence of God as well as the existence of Christ, then you are clearly in the wrong profession. Denying the existence of Christ isn't what Christians teach. It is what the Anti Christ teaches. It is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Historically we know Jesus of Nazareth existed. Josephus recorded that fact. People can debate the resurrection all they want. Josh McDowell addressed that quite well in his book More than a Carpenter. Yet Christ's life, mission, death and crucifixion are historical facts. Denying that as a United Church Minister is somewhat out in the realms of deep outer space.

The minister today asked some insightful questions in a children's story and made references to Moses' interaction with God in his sermon. Fist Moses spoke to God in the form of a burning bush. The problem was, no man can see God and live so God revealed himself to Moses in the form of a burning bush. Yet God can do all things. If he wanted to reveal himself to man he could. The Minister today admitted that eventually Moses saw God's hand and his back. Yet the scriptures go beyond that. Later on Moses spoke to God face to face as a man speaketh to his friend.

It wasn't until Stephen said he saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God that he was stoned for what the religious leaders at the time thought was blasphemy. Ever since the martyrdom of the original apostles, the doctrine of Christ has changed and has been watered down with the ideas of man. King Henry was a nut and we have clearly gone down hill from there.

Ever since King Henry people have been arguing about some stupid point of doctrine and starting up their own church over it. The United Church of Canada reversed that trend. They took three churches and amalgamated them into one. That church has a history of coming together instead of driving apart. Yet clearly things have gone too far. It reminds me of what Paul found in Mars Hill. He found an alter that said "To The Unknown God" and declared "Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you." Acts 17: 22-31

In contrast to the apostasy of the men of Athens, John taught, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3 Eternal life is to know God and Jesus Christ who he sent and to strive to become like them and live a more productive Christlike life. This is where the term Christian service comes from. The life that Mother Teresa exemplified.

There are a ship load of fundamentalists out there that I can't even sit in the same room with. Christ spelled it out in the parable of the Good Samaritan and the parable of the sheep and goats. How you live your life is more important than what you claim to believe. The United Church's focus on service and tolerance is one of it's strengths. The United Church's tolerance of Gretta's insanity is one of it's weaknesses. Just sayin. Peace.

Chicago rapper shot dead, Mexican drug lord escapes

MSN News is reporting that Chicago rapper Capo was gunned down in Chicago on Saturday afternoon. MSN News is also reporting that: "Top Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman has escaped from a maximum security prison for the second time, security officials announced late Saturday. Guzman, who headed the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, was last seen in the area of the showers in the Altiplano prison outside of Mexico City, the capital." The Sinaloa cartel is the one the CIA and the ATF were selling guns to in Operation Fast and Furious and bringing back tons of cocaine into the US as payment. Iran Contra never stopped. Gary Webb was right.

Update: Escaped Kingpin seen having a beer with Oliver North. Not.

Alaska and Oregon legalizes pot for recreational use

I'm shocked this didn't make big news locally. I was speaking with a guy from Oregon today and he said they legalized pot there July 1st 2015. Although smoking pot in public is still illegal in Oregon, the International Business Times is reporting that you can even take it on your carry on luggage for domestic flights within the state. Their referendum was November 2014.

I totally missed Alaska. CNN reported that Alaska legalized pot in February 2015. It has also been confirmed by Time Magazine. We all knew Colorado and Washington State voted yes while California voted no but Alaska and Oregon is new news. Once again just because they did doesn't mean we have to. California didn't. It's just news so to speak.

I'm not a big fan of the legalization of pot. Way too many people smoke way too much pot as it is. Teens shouldn't smoke pot and smoking pot while driving is insane. I do support the decriminalization of pot. Legalization of crack or crystal meth is complete social irresponsibility. We need to decriminalize pot so we have the resources to deal with hard drugs like crack and crystal meth. We need to arrest the crack dealers not the addicts. That is the New York model.

Fentanyl Fatality

The Abbotsford Police department is reporting that on June 30th at 2:40 AM a family member found found a woman in her mid twenties unresponsive on the floor and called 911. Attempts to resuscitate the victim failed and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Methylfentanyl was found in her system and is a likely contributing factor in her death. This is the second Fentanyl warning issued by the APD in 2015. Their previous warning was distributed on May 20, 2015.

Fentanyl is a bad drug just like the fake ecstasy (PMMA) they make now without sassafras. It's toxic and has resulted in a lot of fatalities. Stop the greed and stop the lies. There's a facebook group set up about the dangers of Fentanyl after another young fatality.

Quebec murder

CBC is reporting that Wednesday around 6:00 PM there was a shooting in Marieville, Quebec 30 kilometers east of Montreal. Two men were shot dead, one was injured. The slain men have been identified as Marcel Hémond and Michel l'italien. The injured man was identified as Eric Choquette.

"Quebec provincial police told reporters this afternoon they found the body of a man in a car about 45 minutes from where the shootings took place. An autopsy will need to be conducted to confirm the man's identity, but the Sûreté du Québec believes it is the body of the 59-year-old murder suspect, Daniel Massé." OK that's somewhat bizarre. They murdered their hit man after he did the job? Sounds a bit like the Christmas in Vancouver 1995.

Kelowna Homicide - Update

The Vancouver Province is reporting a homicide in Kelowna. Global is reporting that it was on Feedham Avenue in the Black Mountain area. Both reports refer to it was a targeted attack. Global is also reporitng that "A neighbour tells Global News the victim is Amardeep Singh Ahluwalia and that he had been tied up with zap straps before being killed. The neighbour also says the victim’s girlfriend, a nurse at the Kelowna hospital, was similarly restrained but not hurt. She escaped from the house and ran next door for assistance. The unconfirmed reports indicate the dead man was found face down in the bloodied kitchen and the home had been invaded and ransacked."

That is messed up. Global is also reporting that Daniel Garth Ruff, 62 was arrested Monday for the murder of 51 year old Warren Welters in Kelowna June 14th.

The Vancouver Province is also reporting a targeted home invasion in Surrey 1:30 AM Tuesday.

CBC is reporting that human remains found in an industrial complex near Whistler, B.C. June 14th have been identified as missing Australian teen Jake Brian Kermond.

Update: The Vancouver Province is reporting that the victim who was killed in this targeted attack, Amardeep Singh Ahluwalia, is the brother-in-law of B.C. MLA Amrik Virk. Same last name as Bobby Virk from the Bassi-Virk trial connected to drug trafficking in the BC Rail scandal.

Jeffrey Chang has died

The Vancouver Province is reporting that Jeffrey Chang has died in hospital after was found unresponsive after midnight in Pitt Meadows. Another baby is now going to grow up without their father. Tragic. A good looking young man who was loved by the mother of his child now dead. For what - greed. If you stop the greed, you stop the violence.

Kim Bolan is reporting that sources told the Vancouver Sun that his death is a suspected drug over dose. Although the Maple Ridge Times is reporting he was found inside the house unconscious, that is still very suspicious. Lars in Kelowna plead guilty to hitting someone over the head with a baseball bat in Halifax then injecting him with a lethal dose of cocaine. Larry Pace (Lars) served ten years for accessory to murder.

Jeff was shot in the hand during a drive by at a gas station in East Vancouver June 2014. The Vancouver Province and the Maple Ridge Times are both quoting Kim Bolan referring to Jeff as a member of the Wolf Pack. Kim Bolan was the one that made the reference at the shooting last year. It was timely because that weekend saw two rivals shot at.

Kim Bolan stated that Jeff was associated with the Wolf Pack and Thanh Tung Tran, who was also shot that weekend was "a long-time drug trafficker connected to Billy’s Crew and the Dhak brothers – known rivals of the Wolf Pack." OK so Billy's crew, that would be UN Billy who has also been charged in the Kelowna shooting that took out Jonathon Bacon.

I cringe whenever I hear the term Cub Pack. It refers to the Hells Angels association with the Bacon brothers who were responsible for the Surrey Six. No one in their right mind would want to be associated with that. Wolf Pack 81 was one of their gamer tags on X box live.

Satellite picture of BC Forest Fires

@NEWS1130Radio NASA's satellite image from today shows the huge smoke plume caused by the British Columbia fires. #Vancouver #Richmond #WestVan #NorthVan Fire Dept's getting flooded with hundreds of 911 calls reporting smoke. #Vancouver is not on fire.

News 1130 is reporting that An Air Quality Advisory has been issued for Metro Vancouver because of the smoke from wildfires outside our region. This is why Metro Vancouver should not build a garbage incinerator. The Fraser Valley is a valley. All the smoke lingers in the valley affecting the air quality for the whole region.

News 1130 is also reporting that One man was has minor cuts after a gunshot shattered his window in Surrey. Police believe it's was targeted. The investigation is ongoing.

Update: The forest fire thing is actually a bit creepy. After being sunny for so long we finally have some cloud cover. Only it's not clouds, it's a thin veil of smoke covering the whole sky. This morning on the way to work the sun looked reddish orange. The Vancouver Province is reporting that several of the fires have been started by cigarettes. The smoke in Whistler appears to be worse. The smoke there isn't high in the sky it's low and guests are wearing dust masks.

Moonlight paddle

Sunset at third beach last night before a moonlight paddle through English Bay to Granville Island. A peaceful respite from the cruel insanity that binds us. There's more to life than predatory greed. I guess that's not clouds in the sunset, that's smoke.

Three Canadian Hells Angels now face murder charges in Greece

Sadly, numerous media outlets have confirmed the victim's sister's report on this blog yesterday morning that the person three Canadian members of the Hells Angels beat into a coma in Greece last month has now died as a result of those injuries.

The Edmonton Journal is confirming my previous report that the two Edmonton members are Nick Dragich, who posed with Rob Ford when he was mayor of Toronto, and Dusty Swanson, a prospect from the Dirty Flu. Kim Bolan is confirming my previous report that it was the same Nick Dragich posing with Rob Ford on the Toronto Hells Angels web site. Kim Bolan is also reporting that the third Canadian member, a nomad from Red Deer Alberta, is Brent Koziak.

Metro Vancouver says NO to Transit fraud

The Vancouver Province is reporting that "Metro Vancouver has voted overwhelmingly against raising taxes to fund transit and transportation improvements, with more than 60 per cent of voters supporting the No side." Three cheers. This is another landmark victory. Power to the People.

The problem with the proposal was obvious. Translink is already obscenely over budget. They burn an extra billions dollars a year in regional gas tax and keep expanding the system when they can't even get it to operate consistently. Giving SNC-Lavalin the contract for the evergreen line was a criminal act. We all thought a mail in ballot would have been rigged. The tax dollars they spent trying to convince us to vote for tax fraud was astounding.

Dave Pickton loses civil suit

Wow, she won. Global is reporting that Dave Pickton lost his civil suit. "A B.C. Supreme Court jury ruled late Tuesday following six hours of deliberations that David Pickton had inflicted psychological trauma on a woman after assaulting and threatening to rape and kill her more than two decades ago. Jurors awarded the 55-year-old woman $45,000, including $20,000 in punitive damages that the woman’s lawyer said is intended as a deterrent. Pickton was convicted of sexual assault in 1992, for which he received a $1,000 fine and was sentenced to one year of probation." Three cheers! No Justice, No Peace. Know Justice, Know Peace.

Canada Day on Mount Seymour

I had an awesome hike today up mount Seymour. Someone tied a Canadian flag on the post marking Seymour first pump. It was awesome. Someone also put a stop Harper sticker on the back of the post. Now that was funny and it wasn't me. There are a lot of other people out there that oppose Stephen Harper's destruction of our great nation. Stephen Harper is no Preston Manning. Stephen Harper is another Brian Mulroney.

The stop Harper slogan was of course started by Brigette DePape who was a page in Parliament that stood in front of Harper with a stop Harper sign during the throne speech. It was a small act of civl disobedience that did not go unnoticed. I remember hearing her speak afterwards about how they were threatening to charge her with terrorism trying to threaten the life of the Prime minister. She jokingly admitted that although technically she might have been able to give him a paper cut with her small sign, that clearly was not the intent of the demonstration. If you want to fix the party, change the leadership. Justin Trudeau is a corporate clown as well. Surprisingly enough he does not support the Charter of Rights like his father did.

I made it to Seymour third peek which is the actual mount Seymour. Mystery peak chair lift only takes you to the top of mystery peak. To get to the top of mount Seymour there are actually three peaks and you have to hike or snowshoe there. The view of the back country is breath taking. You can see Deep Cove and mountains as far as the eye can see.

On the way back from third peak I met a guy coming back from Elsie lake. He asked me if I had any water so I split the last of my water with him. I always bring lots. He said he had misjudged the heat and didn't bring enough for such a long hike. Elsie lake is far. I said that's easy to do. When you're hiking in the mountains in the summer heat you need at least two two litre pop bottles full of water in addition to any juice, Gatorade or pre work out you want as well as lunch. I always fill my water bottles one third and freeze them the day before a hike. That way the water is still cold for the entire hike. They key is to be prepared and enjoy the back country. Peace.

Arthur Porter dead in Panama prison

Holy Barry Seal Batman, Arthur Porter has just died in prison. He's the CSIS watchdog that was facing fraud charges involving SNC-Lavalin and was caught sending money to a mossad agent tied to Iran Contra. I freaking kid you not. The Montreal Gazette is reporting he died of lung cancer. Yet the National Post claims he died suddenly and alone. Things that make ya go hmmmm. Vito Riuzzutto died *suddenly* of cancer at a dinner party shortly after he got out of prison. Don't forget Panama is tied to another high profile local case that we can't talk about yet. Much.

I'm interested in reading what trade secrets he revealed in his book the Man behind the bow tie. Porter's book admits he was suffering from a terminal case of lung cancer. He also mentioned it in his interview with Macleans. Ottawa won't lower the flag for their friend the scape goat. Are they going to lower the flag for their pal Gwen Morgan's fraudulent use of translink tax dollars for the Evergreen line?

Porter was arrested the same time as Pierre Duhaime, the former CEO of SNC-Lavalin for their alleged involvement in a massive fraud and conspiracy. SNC-Lavalin was banned for ten years from international contracts because of their involvement with fraud. After Pierre Duhaime was arrested, neo con spin doctor Gwen Morgan took over and got the Evergreen line contract awarded to none other then SNC-Lavalin. I kid you not. Now they want to raise sales tax to pay for that fraud on top of the billion dollar regional gas tax they already burn every year. Arrest Morgan and Harper.

Canadian Sovereignty for sale

The Vancouver Province reprinted a fascinating column by Gus Van Harten wherein he states "Since winning a majority in 2011, the Harper government has been giving away Canadian sovereignty as if it were candy on Halloween." He starts with FIPA then explains about CETA and TPP. Now I just noticed ICSID as well. These are all acronyms for the same thing: treason.

FIPA is a trade agreement with Communist China that has nothing to do with free trade and everything to do with handing over Canadian sovereignty. It all started with NAFTA chapter 11. We found a flaw in that trade agreement. Instead of removing the flaw each successive trade agreement has continued to magnify and empower it. Sovereignty is dead. Bilderberg reigns.

It's not that I have a problem with banks or profit. Not at all. I have a problem with banking fraud and with theft especially when it involves the theft of tax dollars. They say the best way to rob a bank is to own it. We talked about the banking fraud that created the Savings and Loan crisis back in the /80's. We also talked about the investment fraud that created the Greek financial crisis which is still continuing as we speak. Madoffs were springing up like mushrooms. What was public money became private money then disappeared. Goldman and Sachs were involved with that fraud.

It is a colossal conflict of interest when bankers or investors involved with fraud contribute to political campaigns and get tax funded bailouts worth far more than the thirty pieces of silver they threw at a few politicians. Micheal Moore pointed out the Wall Street fraud that was bailed out with tax dollars. Al Martin described how the CIA instructed him to commit investment fraud as a way to raise money for Iran Contra. Not only were they selling cocaine to fund the contra rebels in Nicaragua, they were also committing bank fraud and using tax dollars to bail the banks out after they defrauded the banks. The fall of the BCCI is a prime example. The collapse of the Nugan Hand bank in Australia is another. Banks don't fail. Someone has to rip them off first.

In Canada the Harper government gave the banks a $65 billion bailout when they said the banks here didn't need one. Then they lied and said they never did it. That fraud should have seen Harper imprisoned right beside Bernard Madoff and Conrad Black. It was the largest embezzlement of tax dollars in our nations history. Which once again emphasizes how the Neo Cons are not fiscally responsible. They tax and spend far worse then any left wing kook. The only difference is they spend it on themselves and their campaign contributors.

Enjoying the Summer

OK so the theme for this weekend is get out there and enjoy life. Don't let it pass you by. Imagine spending your whole life in one back alley smoking crack. That would be a pretty meaningless existence. You would miss a whole world of opportunities. The thing is, if one place fills up there are a dozen other places you can go. Cliff Falls on Kanaka creek is nice. It's in Maple Ridge.

We've already mentioned the falls at Widgeon creek. You can also paddle up to Granite Falls in Deep Cove and camp there over night. I realize the outdoors isn't for everyone. Yesterday there was a young couple feeling the heat so to speak. The young mother was obviously hot and cranky. Her very young daughter was getting on her nerves and was dragging her purse in the dirt. She began yelling at her daughter not to touch her things and said you are stressing me out.

Then the daughter in tears repeated exactly what her mother said and said you are stressing me out. I had to smile. The husband came back to the car with their young son and the mother started raging at him saying something about not having time for idiots. Then the husband said watch your f*ing mouth and I just cringed and thought there goes the breakdown of another relationship. There is a lot of stress on young couples in our day. The cost of housing is ridiculous. That's why I think finding cheap escapes from the dark and dreary reality can be refreshing

For those less inclined to the back country there's always flying a kite at Crescent Beach or Vanier park. You can hop on a passenger ferry for lunch on Granville Island. No matter what you're into there's always something positive to do. Anything is better then wasting life away in a bar or a party full of trailer trash. There's more to life than drugs and alcohol. Get out there and enjoy it.

Just stay away from the ridiculous drug dealer boats. The Lonely Island video I'm on a boat was a comedy. They were making fun of the plastic people on huge drug dealer boats. Nobody cares your on a mother f*ing boat. What the hell are you over compensating for? Do be careful. There was a young girl in Surrey who was trying to be funny and hop on a moving train. Only she slipped and the train ran over her arm. Tragic. Oh be wise. What can I say more? Have fun and be safe.

They Paved Paradise

This is another example of denying public access to public land. The UBC Research forest in Maple Ridge are endowment lands donated to UBC as a gift. UBC is a publicly funded University. The research forest is open to the public but they have "closed" the waterfalls to the public. This is a beautiful spot on the Allouette River. I realize there has been problems in the past with youth drinking and cliff jumping yet denying public access completely is going over board. That's like putting up a fence around wreck beach and saying the public is not allowed in. It's just not right.

I hiked down and took this picture yesterday. The falls are several tiers and this is the last tier. You can wade into the water and go right up to the waterfalls. Obviously drinking and cliff jumping is a bad idea. I was born in North Vancouver near Lynn Canyon. A lot of people have died there doing stupid things but the park is beautiful and the 30 foot pool is totally safe.

Years ago when Cypress mountain became owned by an American company they tried to deny public access to certain parts of the park. People came out in huge numbers to protest and they rescinded the decision. Tax payers elect the politicians that make the rules. The rules have to be in the public interest. Denying public access to public land is a bad idea. Signs that say no drinking or no cliff jumping are good enough to deal with the liability issue.

In the States if you are caught trespassing you could be shot dead. Here you might get a ticket. I hope they do give me a ticket so I can dispute that ticket in court. If they are going to deny public access then the public need to reassess the University's public funding. Perhaps we can e-mail UBC and request them to amend the policy: reny.kahlon@ubc.ca, presidents.office@ubc.ca, arvind.gupta@ubc.ca, for.recep@ubc.ca
