The obvious solution is to repeal the decriminalization of hard drugs just like Portland had to do.

I hate how media now reports "X dead from unregulated drug supply.". It's drugs, full stop. Can't stand the normalization of terrible addictions. In my day we were raised that drugs were for losers. Now it's "drugs are fine!" where is the stigma that's needed to get people to want to clean themselves up?
ReplyDeleteI agree. Stigma and shame (if taught) can be a powerful tool for those who need to redeem themselves. Unfortunately, the drug advocates think shame and stigma cause mental issues and the narrative has not helped.
DeleteIt's not about shame and sigma. Smoking crystal meth in public places makes communities unsafe because of the crime and violence that goes along with it. One of the Four Pillars is Prevention. Prevention means you teach people harmful drugs are harmful. They're not doing that. They are teaching people safe ways to use harmful drugs. There's no such thing.
