Pierre Poilievre elected Conservative leader on first ballot

True North is reporting that "Conservative members have elected Pierre Poilievre as their new leader. The Conservative party announced the results of this year’s leadership race before members in Ottawa Saturday evening. Poilievre took the top post of the party on the first round with 68% of the points."

Jean Charest came is second with 16.07 per cent of the vote and Leslyn Lewis came in third with 9.69% of the vote. Former Ontario MPP Roman Baber placed fourth, with 5.03 per cent of the vote, and Convoy hating Scott Aitchison finished last with 1.06 per cent of the vote.

Pierre was my third choice after Leslyn Lewis and Roman Baber. I suppose the upside is that he will unify the party because he supported the Convoy and had the backing of the Harperites. Leslyn Lewis is still the champion of Justice and we look forward to hearing more from her. Now we need to reach out to Quebec because no one will become Prime Minister without them.

    Sad but true.
    We are in surreal times.

Quebec shares much more in common with Canada than they ever will the WEF.

The right candidate won, now let's just hope his spine doesn't melt in the heat.

The arm chair quarterback's in Canada finally got off their asses!

  2. It’s far past time for a change. If even half of what he promises he does this country will take a 180 on policy and direction.

  3. There is a God!! Congratulations Pierre. Now the work begins to remove the dictator from power and banish his ilk back into their holes from whence they came.

  4. The big questions is; will Maxime Bernier and his PPC continue to split the right, and continue to hand Trudeau the reigns of power once again

    1. I guess that depends on where the party goes. In Alberta two Conservative parties merged and formed the government. If the federal Conservatives let Maxime Bernier back in and merged with the PPC, then we would definitely be able to move forward. The Reform Party merged with the Conservatives so I don't see why the PPC can't. We embrace Quebec by embracing Maxime Bernier.

I agree with Dennis on the need for a free republic. That means an end to oaths to the House of Windsor.

    1. A free republic or in our case a constitutional monarchy. I'm fine with that. I must admit I was somewhat shocked to find out our military swears and oath to the Queen. Yet I've had time to process that and I'm OK with it. I'd rather swear an oath to Charles than to Justan Idiot.
