The Toronto Sun is reporting that "Toronto Police have identified the city’s latest homicide victim and continue to look for two suspects. On Friday, at 12:22 p.m., police were called to the area of Queen St. E. and Carlaw Ave. for a shooting. Police say there was a fight between three males and two of the men had handguns and shot them at each other. A victim, Karolina Huebner-Makurat, 44, of Toronto, was walking in the area and was hit by a stray bullet. She was taken to hospital where she later died. That's pretty messed up. None of those guns were legally obtained.
None of Justin Turdue guns laws do anything to address actual crime. It was always about control. Toronto and Vancouver is the wild west still and will stay until soft on crime is delt with. 🤡 Country!
ReplyDeleteCorrect. It's unregistered, illegally obtained smuggled American handguns that are involved in the vast majority of Canadian firearm related crimes. It has been for decades and the feds know this, Ontario in particular knows this. Recent gun legislation "semi auto rifles" tabled by the Trudeau government is largely a symbolic move and totally ineffective in relation to incidents like this and others.
