When the Rebel Yells

Last month the Vancouver Province printed an article about the rumours surrounding the Rock Machine coming to Vancouver. Although some claimed it was just some kid calling in to the paper making stuff up, the article quotes a Vancouver cop who claimed Rock Machine colours have been seen in the Lower mainland.

Shortly after that article came out the Toronto Sun printed an article where police in Montreal claimed they found a warehouse with Rock Machine colours in it. Although the Rock Machine was founded in Quebec and raged a long war with the Hells Angels there over drug turf, they had been extinct in Quebec for almost a decade.

We know that the new Rock Machine is in Ontario and Winnipeg and has expanded to Australia. Well now we are hearing rumours about the Rebels from Australia coming to Canada and setting up shop in Toronto. There are even rumours of them trying to set up shop here in BC. I want to be clear that the purpose of my blog and web site is not to advertize for aspiring gangs or gang members to promote their cause and help them build a reputation for their business. This as all rapidly becoming one toxic cess pool of crime and mid life crises.



Obviously the Rock Machine are enemies of the Hells Angels and are affiliated with the Outlaws who have coined the phrase ADIOS (Angels Die in Outlaw States). Seemingly the Rebels from Australia are also enemies of the Hells Angels and are fighting with them in Asia. Evidently, the Rock Machine and the Rebels had some kind of war going on in Australia making everything one big toxic mess.

To make matters worse, last year one chapter of the Rock Machine in Australia patched over to the Bandidios. This was after the Rock Machine's assimilation with the Bandidions in Canada failed and they went back on their own. More complicated still, the Finks who fought with the Hells Angels and refused to join them after they got the woman beater Chris Hudson to defect, have now patched over to the Bandidos.

One of the things that drive me crazy is this ridiculous saying AFFA. Angels Forever Forever Angels. All the puppets and enemies copy the same phrase. It's stupid when the Hells Angels say it and even more ridiculous when a puppet says it knowing full well all the puppets are desperately striving to one day become a real boy just like Pinocchio of old and trade in that puppet patch for what they perceive to be a real boy patch making their forever very short term indeed. Forever is forever until they trade it in or get kicked out and screwed over.

We also know that the Warlocks, another enemy of the Hells Angels have set up shop in Fort McMurray and Drayton Valley outside Edmonton. There are even rumours of them wanting to come to BC and set up shop in Salmon Arm. OK so hold the door. The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend. No offense but the Warlocks are just more aspiring criminals who are no better than the Hells Angels just not as well organized. Bragging about a lockdown page where their members have been convicted of criminal offenses is absolutely ridiculous.

I will say a word about logos. Back in Belfast, the Provisional IRA used to use a Phoenix as a logo. The graffiti I saw there was of a brown bird that looked similar to an eagle rising from the ashes. However, I can only find green ones online. The Warlocks also use a Phoenix only theirs is yellow and looks like something out of Harry Potter. No offense. It's a free country but that's not the kind of logo that I would be proud to wear nor does it tend to send fear into the hearts of their enemies. It kind of makes me think of Harry Potter and Dumbledore when I see it.

The Rebels on the other hand use a confederate flag. I cannot support that. The confederate flag represents slavery. The saying the south shall rise again refers to that insane quest to bring back slavery. As God lives, if the south shall rise again the north will be there to stop them. Consequently I can not support the Rebels MC in BC.

I do like the Rock Machine logo. I don't support them selling crack but I do like their logo. An eagle's head is way better then a helmeted skull with devil horns that looks like something out of the lord of the flies. I also like the Outlaws logo. I usually can't stand the over use of the skull in logos but a simple skull with V twin pistons is fine and comes in second to the RM logo in my opinion. In third comes Michael McCrea's Highlanders MC in Cape Breton. I like claymores.

So here's the deal. I have beef with the Hells Angels monopoly of the drug trade in BC and of the sex trade. If you say you want a revolution and you want to rage against the big red machine, I am totally down with that. But if you want to sell crack or pimp crack hos and wear a 1% f*ck up patch then you can count me out. When that rebel yells you're on your own. I will not support it. Instead, my guitar will gently weep.

Misconception about Pot

Not to flog a dead horse but I do want to address the blind obsessiveness that is driving the legalization of pot campaign which I see as cult like. I've said a million times before that there is a huge difference between pot and crack or crystal meth. A huge difference. So much of a difference that I agree it is insane to implement mandatory minimum sentences for pot when we need to deal with crack dealers not users and violent crime.

Throwing everyone in jail for smoking pot would be a huge waste of tax dollars. Having said that I think it is really important we be completely honest and clear up some of the obsessive misconceptions about pot that many actually believe to be true despite the obvious facts staring them in the face and the huge dissinformation campaign on the internet.

Pot does not cure cancer. Chemotherapy cures cancer. Pot eases the side effects of chemotherapy. You can't get any more clear then that. When someone writes in and calls me an idiot for claiming chemotherapy cures cancer not pot I am forced to ask what else are you smoking? Years ago, if you had Hodgkin's disease, you likely died from it. Now it is totally treatable. Now many forms of cancer are successfully treated. Chemotherapy and radiation treatment are horrible things to go through but the success rate has been scientifically recorded. To say those documented cases are false is absurd. To abandon those facts and claim that pot not chemotherapy cures cancer is not only false but cult like.

Everyone knows that smoking cigarettes is bad for you. It causes lung cancer. The warnings on the packages keep getting larger and larger and society today all know about the harmful effects of smoking cigarettes. The concerns about second hand smoke has resulted in banning smoking from most public places including airplanes. Second hand smoke is irritating and unhealthy. So what makes you think that smoking pot is somehow magically different than smoking cigarettes?

I knew a guy just out of high school who was a long distance runner and liked pot. He knew smoking was bad for you so he ate it in cookies or hash brownies. The truth is, pot smoke is unfiltered and causes lung cancer even more so than smoking regular filtered cigarettes.

We need to be honest about the facts. When I see people obsessively denying the facts I'm forced to step back and reexamine their movement. Recently the Vancouver Province ran an article about pot legalization in Colorado. The picture that went with the article was a large group of demonstrators celebrating their victory and smoking pot in public. They all looked like a bunch of spoilt brat stoners. I don't go anywhere near the Vancouver Art Gallery on 420. It's is completely out of hand. They're just a bunch of spoilt brats empowered by the mob mentality. To each their own but that is not my thing. Just so we're clear on that.

There are also concerns about ingesting pot in food. The guys at work are famous for bringing pot cookies to special events. They were all joking about one older guy who ate several of these powerful cookies and sat in his van for hours because he was totally f*cked up. I mentioned it to another old timer and he asked how many the guy ate. He was shocked and said you've only supposed to eat half of one. Well someone should have told him. Sitting in your van and getting f*cked up for hours is not my idea of a good time. Evidently they are having the same problem of controlling doses in Colorado when people ingest pot in food.

In fact, the cult like obsessiveness to legalize pot claiming it will solve all your problems and even cure cancer reminds me of the book Brave New World and how the drug Soma was used to tranquilize the masses into obeying the World State. Personally I think pot is over rated.

Part Two: Crack Cures Cancer

Stephen Harper vs the Supreme Court of Canada

Stephen Harper has launched an interesting mud slinging campaign of Supreme Court Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin. The concern appears to be about Harper's desire to appoint Marc Nadon to the Supreme Court. Beverley McLachlin expressed a concern about his eligibility and Harper goes off on a tirade about how it's inappropriate for her to lobby the government about appointments.

CBC quoted Adam Dodek who said "Every minister of justice in this Conservative government and in its predecessor Liberal governments going back at least 15 years has stated publicly that they have consulted with the chief justice of Canada about appointments to the Supreme Court of Canada. So where is the issue and where is the problem here?"

Wikipedia claims "Nadon was nominated by the Conservative government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper to be a puisne justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. He was formally appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada on October 3, 2013, and sworn in on October 7, 2013. Following controversy regarding his appointment, he stated that he would not hear cases until the legal challenge to his appointment was decided. His appointment was struck down as unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in Reference re Supreme Court Act, ss. 5 and 6 on March 21, 2014.

By a 6-1 margin, the Court found that he did not meet the requirement of s. 6 of the Supreme Court Act, which requires that Quebec appointments to the Court be either a sitting judge on the Quebec Court of Appeal or Superior Court, or a current member of the Barreau du Québec. As a result, the Court ruled that his appointment had never taken effect and he remained a supernumerary judge of the Federal Court of Appeal."

Harper ignored a legal caution from Canada's chief justice on Marc Nadon's eligibility and proceeded unilaterally. He has now launched a character assassination of her in retaliation. I'll admit that I didn't understand the beef at first. Quebec, BC. Nova Scotia, it doesn't matter where someone is from. A lawyer is a lawyer a judge is a judge and the elected government appoints judges.

The National Post clarifies the concern by stating that Justice Nadon sat on the Federal Court of Appeal, not a Quebec court. The Supreme Court of Canada Act requires at least three judges be “appointed from among the judges of the Court of Appeal or of the Superior Court of the Province of Quebec or from among the advocates of that Province.” A key reason is to ensure expertise in Quebec’s civil code, which differs from the common law in other provinces. Mr. Justice Nadon is to be the third Quebec justice, after the retirement of Mr. Justice Morris Fish, but the Federal Court of Appeal is not a Quebec court, even if a Quebecer sits on it.

The Globe and Mail confirms that Justice Nadon was (and remains) a judge on the Federal Court of Appeal. No Federal Court judge had ever filled one of the three spots on the court reserved for Quebec judges.

So clearly Marc Nadonm can become a Supreme Court Judge. He just can't fill one of the three positions reserved for Judges with experience in Quebec civil law. It's that simple.

It's obvious on some appointments there are underlining concerns of political affiliations just like with the Senate appointments. For example, the right wants to appoint judges who oppose abortion and the left want to appoint judges who are pro abortion. That's just one example. Judges are supposed to be impartial and interpret the law but we know that's a fallacy in the real world since judges are human beings and have their own independent political opinions. Conservatives appoint their judges, Liberals appoint their judges and so forth. Beverley McLachlin was appointed by Jean Chretien while Marc Nadon was originally appointed by Brian Mulroney, hence the conflict.

We all know that Stephen Harper is an enemy of the Charter of Rights. He admits he hates it and wants to get rid of it because it restricts his quest for absolute power. Opposing that quest and upholding the civil liberty protected in the Charter of Rights is clearly a good thing.

One of the concerns on the table is that Harper wants to unilaterally do away with the Senate and the Supreme Court said no. The United States has a Senate and a House of Representatives. Doing away with the Senate completely gives one government far too much power. Senate reform is one thing but doing away with the senate completely is another. There is nothing wrong with making senators elected. There's nothing wrong with making senators accountable for their spending. It would be very hypocritical indeed to do away with the senate completely to "save money" when it was your appointed senators that were caught squandering tax dollars.



Upholding civil liberty and the Charter of Rights is a good thing. Yet it is clear that the court can easily overstep those boundaries and become a law unto themselves which is not in the public interest. Every civil servant need to be publicly accountable. It is wrong for the Supreme Court to make their own laws contrary to the democratic will of the people who pay their wages.

Peace in Northern Ireland

Peace in Northern Ireland is very problematic. It is very similar to the current struggle in the Ukraine as well as the problematic nature of Quebec Separatism. One side wants to separate but the other side does not. Clearly the recent arrest of Gerry Adams is an attempt to derail the peace process. Some want that process to fail. Most do not.

The struggle in Northern Ireland is not a two way struggle it is a three way struggle. It's not just the Irish fighting the British for self determination any more like it was in the south. In the north, half the population is Protestant and want to remain affiliated with England. The Catholics in Northern Ireland do not. They want to be free and independent of England. One side wants one thing while the other side wants something else making the conflict very problematic indeed. Setting up Storemount and self representation is a step in the right direction.

There is a crazy legend in Northern Ireland which comprises the province of Ulster involving the O'Neils. "According to one myth, the kingdom of Ulster had at one time no rightful heir. Because of this it was agreed that a boat race should take place and that 'whosoever's hand is the first to touch the shore of Ireland, so shall he be made the king.' One potential king so desired the kingship that, upon seeing that he was losing the race, he cut off his hand and threw it to the shore - thus winning the kingship."

Legend has it this was the O'Niels thus their use of the Red Hand of Ulster in heraldry throughout the generations. One could say that they were losing the boat race and cheated. Others would say if they want the land that bad, let them have it.

Wikipedia claims "Another variation of this story concludes that it was none other than Niall of the Nine Hostages who severed his own hand in order to win his crown from his brother." I don't believe that version. Niall of the Nine Hostages was the High King of Ireland seated in Tara outside of Dublin in county Meath. He wasn't in competition with his brother for anything. His son Eogan went north and settled Ailech just outside of Derry in the north. Well Donegal which is technically in southern Ireland but is in the north of the Island.

Eogan's heraldic symbol was the red lion which his grandson carried over to Scotland. Muirchertach mor mac Ercae was the grandson of Eogan. His brother Fergus mor mac Ercae went to Scotland and married into Scottish royalty there. As a wedding gift Muirchertach mor mac Ercae gave his brother Fergus the Stone of Scone which rests in Westminster Abby as recorded in the Anals of Ulster. The O'Neils red hand of Ulster was adopted later on. My father's father was a descendant of Eogan. Although he was born in London he was of Scottish ancestry. Originally the surname was O'Cahan but it was changed three times in Scotland after subsequent heirs.

Anyways, my point is the O'Neils are freaking crazy. No disrespect intended. The O'Neils themselves are fine but all this crazed obsession among the self professed loyalists is really toxic. "Londodnderry Westbank Loyalists still Under Siege, No Surrender." They are passionate about their right to live in that land and I have to admit they have just as much right to be there as anyone else. That's what makes the whole peace process problematic. You can't just kick them all out and do what you want. You have to include them in the process. Which is in itself problematic because I personally wouldn't want to live with those nutbars.

I rather find somewhere else to live which I have. Or at least my father and his father has. In my opinion it is a better land with mountains, forests and the ocean. I'm just a rider on a western highway. I am from Vancouver. That is my home now and that makes this land holy too. It is where we live. It is where our children were raised and it is where our fathers are buried. It is a multicultural community where people don't care what religion you are. We have no place left to go.

Not long ago I was on Grouse Mountain checking out the latest movie they have about local history in their viewing centre. I picked up on the accent the girl who was hosting the show and asked her where she was from. She said Ireland and I asked where abouts? She said Donegal, Letterkenny. Letterkenny says I with a big grin on my face. The land of the rebel safe houses. She smiled and her eyes grew wide and said shhhh. People here don't know about any of that. Indeed they don't. People here aren't interested in those kinds of conflicts.

I do hope and pray for peace in Northern Ireland but I do recognize that peace in Northern Ireland is going to have to represent both sides there who want two different things. Justice does not mean ignoring one to reward the other. One thing is certain and that is the violence needs to stop. Nobody wants that to continue any more. Just a handful of extremists that have no right to highjack the democratic will of the majority who just want to live in peace.

Are we going to go back in history before the signing of the 1998 Good Friday peace accord and retry every Protestant, every Catholic and every British insurgent for past murders? Because if you do one, you have to do the others as well. That would be a daunting task indeed that would clearly leave everyone blind. I don't think it would support the peace process either.

Gerry Adams on Trial

Gerry Adams is in the news both locally and internationally. He was arrested on suspicion of ordering the 1972 killing of Jean McConville, a mother of 10 in West Belfast.

Jean McConville was seized by the IRA from her Divis Flats home in West Belfast, shot dead and secretly buried. Her body was found in 2003 on a Co Louth beach. The IRA thought she was a spy for the British so they executed her. She was a widow and the mother of ten children. Her husband had died of cancer and the children were separated and raised as orphans. It is without question a tragic event. I hesitate to comment on the case but since everyone knows of my love for the Holy Land (Ireland) and since my hecklers will no doubt use this case to trash me I will address it now.

There are a lot of things that the IRA did that I don't agree with. However, there are a lot of things they did that I do agree with. The Easter Rising and the Irish Proclamation was an inspired rebellion against foreign occupation. The founding fathers of that sacred proclamation said: "We place the cause of the Irish Republic under the protection of the Most High God. Whose blessing we invoke upon our arms, and we pray that no one who serves that cause will dishonour it by cowardice, in humanity, or rapine."

When I first visited Ireland many years ago, the IRA had kidnapped a dentist in Dublin and sent his fingers to his family with the ransom note. That was horrible. I did not agree with that. It was an example of inhumanity and rapine. Yet the quest for liberty is a noble cause. The movie Michael Collins with Liam Neeson sets the stage for the struggle that existed in that time period.

In launching their struggle against foreign occupation the provisional government needed to address the problem of informants. British spies who would pass on information to the invading army resulting in the murder of local revolutionaries. To combat this problem they initiated the practice of executing informants for treason. Treason is without question a serious offense. Executions without a trial is however, very problematic.

Was Jean McConville an informant that spied for the British? I don't know. I personally doubt it. Yet I don't doubt it because a British tabloid said there was no evidence she was a spy. I doubt it because if she was Irish and lived in the Divis Flats in West Belfast, I find it very hard to believe she felt any sympathy for the British invasion whatsoever. No one there does. I used to ride the black taxis down the Falls road to Divis flats in the late /80's.

I realize the family needs closure and will never find such because no truth will replace what was taken from them. Right or wrong it appears that the IRA executed their mother for being a spy. Whether or not she really was a spy is very difficult to ascertain. Yet we know who killed her and why. I'm not sure how trying to blame one specific person for that murder now will help with the healing process. When something as tragic as that happens, there is no justice.

I am somewhat surprised the police want to press charges at this point. I thought there was an amnesty granted since the cease fire and the peace talks from 1998, when the Good Friday peace accord was signed. Both sides murdered many people in that political war. The IRA, the UDA and the British Army. I was never a big fan of Gerry Adams. I had no problem with him. I was a fan of Bobby Sands. He was the activist who died for his beliefs. Gerry Adams was more of a politician. When Bobby Sands and the hunger strikers of H block were dying, Gery Adams was sitting at home in his office. Someone had to be the political voice.

I was in West Belfast when the crazed lunatic from the UVF, a branch of the UDA, showed up at an IRA funeral in Milltown cemetery and started throwing hand grenades into the crowd, then opened fire on the crowd with a hand gun as he tried to flee the scene. I was told not to attend that funeral but I had a friend who did. He was one of the youth that took fire and chased the gunman down giving him the boots until a British Helicopter came down and saved him.

Years later after word of a cease fire and a peace process many political prisoners were released as a sign of good faith. That's why I'm rather surprised they want to go backwards and arrest Gerry Adams for something that happened before the cease fire and the peace process. To me it doesn't seem to be bargaining in good faith. No disrespect to the genuine loss of the McConville family. It's just that even the Miltown bomber was released from prison as part of the cease fire.

To Jean McConville's children I say I am truly sorry for your loss. Nothing can replace what was taken from you. Yet as God lives, life does not end at death. You will see your mother and your father again. Your day will come. Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Remember, Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God. Many people were murdered in that war. We need to remember them, we need to honour them and we need to move forward to create a climate of peace so more innocent people don't suffer like you have.

The Irish Flag is an ensign for peace. It's called the tricolour. Green is for Irish Catholic. Orange is for the Irish Protestants and White represents peace between the two. When hate driven "loyalists" burn that flag and shout Ulster Say No to peace in Ireland, they are teaching their children to hate and as Martin Luther King declared hate is too great a burden to bear. Mistakes were made on both sides. "What's done is done, what's won is won and what's lost is lost and gone forever. All we can do is hope and pray for a bright brand new day in the town that I loved so well." Peace.

Nanaimo Hells Angel going back to Court

News 1130 is reporting that Nanaimo Hells Angel Robert Frederick Widdifield is going back to Court to face extortion and theft charges in connection to a stolen boat.

Widdifield and three others linked to the Hells Angels were charged in October 2010, and the trial was scheduled to start in October 2012 but was then put off until the fall of 2013. However, on June 11 2013 Justice Robert Johnston dismissed the case over delays.

The right to a speedy trial is indeed an important Charter Right. Not if you're the one causing the delays though. BC Court of Appeal Justice David Frankel has now ruled that Johnston was mistaken, and the Crown was responsible for only five months of delays, while 11 months of postponements can be blamed on the unavailability of defence counsel.

RCMP sued for sexual assault

Sadly, the Edmonton Journal is reporting that a southern Alberta woman has filed a lawsuit against the RCMP that alleges she was forced to perform a sex act while an officer drove her home. Which reminds me of the recent incident in France where a Canadian tourist claims she was raped by a police officer in France. Very sad. Pretty much the epitome of breach of trust. The officer claims it was consensual but two officers are being charged with gang rape.

Rob Ford smoking crack on video again

The Globe and Mail is reporting that yet another video has been produced of Rob Ford Smoking crack dated Saturday, April 26, 1:16 a.m. This time they have posted screen shots from the video.

While the Toronto Sun has reported that it has obtained a new and "raunchy" audio recording of Ford "ranting and swearing" in a Toronto-area bar on Monday night. CTV states that Rob Ford now claims he's still running for reelection but is taking a leave of absence to seek professional help.



Earlier Rob Ford was claiming people hate him because he's right wing. That has absolutely nothing to do with it. People hate him because he's an abusive drunk and a compulsive liar. Now we can add crack addict to that list. It has nothing to do with him being right wing or left wing and and it's really important we remember that. Sounds like Jack Layton's wife is going to run against him. Which is fine. There's nothing wrong with that. We just need to be sure this has nothing to do with left versus right. It's about good versus evil. The right wing need to choose a new candidate.

It's like over in France. Sarkozy was a dirty dog. He sucked up to Gadaffi and tried to convince the world we should trust Gadaffi with Nuclear weapons because he wanted to sell Gadaffi a French reactor while he lined his pockets with campaign contributions. Then as soon as Gadaffi says he wants to buy a reactor from Argentina instead of France, Sarkozy leads the invasion into Libya and his troops provided the cover fire for him to be brutally executed without a trial.

Not only that, but Sarkozy was involved with kickbacks from selling Arms to Pakistan going to his party's political campaign. He was also accused of being involved with the "terrorist" bombing in Pakistan after a subsequent president canceled the kickbacks. Sarkozy was as dirty as they get. So what happened? France goes and elects a Socialist. From one extreme to the other. Now Sarkozy is trying to make a comeback. That is criminal. The right wing need to pick another candidate. When the right chose criminals for candidates the left wings. It's as simple as that. Which makes you wonder if that's not the original intent.

Calgary Hells Angel busted in Ontario

The Listowel Freepress is reporting that Owen Czech of Calgary, Alberta was pulled over in Ontario on April 11 and was caught with cocaine, methadone and a weapon. I assume more details of the bust will be forthcoming. Owen is a member of the Calgary Southland chapter of the Hells Angels. I'm not sure what he was doing with methadone. That's what they prescribe people who are addicted to heroin.

Of course the big news is the police crackdown on the Edmonton Hells Angels and the Whiteboy Posse murder trial. The Whiteboy posse sell drugs for the Edmonton Hells Angels. This is exactly what's supposed to happen. When the gangs do something absurd like shoot an innocent mother or decapitate someone fro a drug debt, then that brings a huge amount of attention to them and the police respond by cracking down on their business.

That is exactly what should of happened in Surrey when Janice Shore was brutally beaten to death for a drug debt in Whalley. Only instead of clamping down on the crack dealers in Surrey, Bill Fordy clamped down on the jaywalkers. You can sell crack in Surrey but you can't jay walk. It's time for Bill Fordy to transfer. Dianne Watts' claim that she is leaving Surrey a safer place is an offensive lie. She did nothing about the drug related crime she promised to address and left us with the biggest debt in the city's history.

2013 was the most homicides in one year for Surrey ever. Many of those murders were drug related. Business's complaints of drug dealers in Newton and Whalley fell on deaf ears as did their complaints about drug related crime. That is Dianne Watts and Bill Fordy's legacy in Surrey.

Law Society Bans Gay Lawyers

How's that for a headline? Law Society Bans Gay Lawyers. Or how about Law Society Bans Jewish or Muslims Lawyers. How would we feel about that? First of all it would be illegal. Second of all it would be wrong. This is what comes to mind when I read an astounding editorial in today's Vancouver Province. The editorial sates that Law Societies are wrong for caving in to activists calling for them to refuse to allow graduates from TWU's law program to be certified. I didn't even realize such an outrageous criminal act was even going to a vote.

It's no different than banning anyone who is Gay, Jewish or Muslim from being a lawyer. It is discrimination on prohibited grounds. Clearly some are concerned about the fact that Trinity Western University is a Religious private school. Does that means these unlearned enemies of the Charter of Rights would decertify the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America because that is exactly what they are trying to do. It is illegal and wrong to do so.

There are two cardinal sins of a free republic. The first is adopting a single state religion. Everyone has to be Catholic, or Church of England or Buddhist or Muslim or whatever. The second is like unto it. Banning religion altogether. A free republic does neither. A free republic means an Atheist and a Christian are both allowed to become lawyers.

This is exactly why some religious groups oppose the legalization of gay marriage. They are afraid that once they allow it, they will force all religions to perform it against their will or lose their charitable status. That would,be absurd. The United Church of Canada came up with the logical compromise. Allow gay civil marriage and allow individual religions to perform gay marriage if they chose but do not force them to do it against their will because that would violate their religious freedom. It's as simple as that.

In contrast, refusing to certify graduates from the TWU law school is no different that refusing to certify a gay lawyer. Both are wrong and illegal. Another concern they raise is the University's moral code. If this wasn't such a criminal act it would be laughable. Why does it not come as a big surprise that the Law society do not want to certify lawyers who have moral standards? Kinda like the saying, what do you call 10,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start.

You see judges have to be lawyers before they become judges. These extremists don't want judges with moral standards to interfere with their interpretation of the law. Murder is a moral standard. Thou shalt not kill. Theft is a moral standard. Thou shalt not steal. All our laws are based on moral standards.

Nova Scotia says it will accredit Trinity Western law graduates — but only if they drop their gay sex policy. You can't do that. It is illegal. That's like saying they will accept Christian lawyers if they renounce Christ or Muslim lawyers if they renounce Mohammed or Gay lawyers if they renounce their orientation. That is religious discrimination and is illegal in a free republic. This doesn't come to a popularity vote. What if everyone got together and said they wanted to ban Islam from Canada. It doesn't matter if the majority of Canadians voted in favor if doing so. It would be illegal according to our Charter of Rights. That's all there is to it. The fact that this discussion is even on the table is astounding. Banning lawyers from having moral standards or religious beliefs is not what our soldiers died in the trenches for. It is exactly what they fought against.

Tony Wilson, a Vancouver Lawyer who states that he is an atheist who voted in favor of accrediting TWU Law school grads pointed out that the current case law upholds the Charter of Rights. The Trinity Western University v. B.C. College of Teachers case is still the law of Canada. That 2001 case, from the Supreme Court of Canada, determined that the B.C. College of Teachers could not deny accreditation of TWU’s teaching degree. So clearly what they are doing now is in violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights as well as the subsequent case law upholding it.

Surrey Stabbing

There are a medley of stories to catch up on but I want to pause on this recent stabbing in Surrey. Don Pitcairn from the White Rock Sun is reporting that his nephew was stabbed at a house party in Newton over the weekend. As soon as anyone says Surrey house party everyone tends to roll their eyes. Yet the circumstances of the assault are very disturbing.

The kid tried to break up a fight and was stabbed in the chest. He booked it for the door and four pieces of Surrey White Trash stabbed him in the back seven times and all gave him the boots in the front yard before they stole his wallet and cell phone. That is outrageous. One can understand that someone could get accidentally stabbed while trying to break up a fight but chasing him down, stabbing him repeatedly in the back then swarming him and give him the boots before stealing his wallet and cell phone. That is low life dirt bag.

What's even more disturbing is that Don has been putting up wanted posters trying to find the suspects who assault his nephew. Not that there's anything wrong with him doing that because there most certainly isn't. What's disturbing is that he has to do that and the suspects aren't already in custody. People at the party know who they were. Even if they were uninvited guests, people have iphones to take pictures and word gets around. People there would have heard by now who it was.

In Don's article he mentions the archaic code of silence thing and the grossly misused term rat. Let me be clear. Anyone who swarms someone and stabs them in the back are the rats not the people who tell the family or the police who did it. People who know who did it and aren't saying anything are the rats. That's all there is to it.

If you know who did it, tell me. I ain't the po po. If the police have a name then the victim can id them and you don't have to testify. This is really important. We can't let this kind of thing happen without doing anything about it. It diminishes all of us. This is not the way we roll in Surrey. That is Surrey trash mentally and it's fine time to take out the trash.

Crazy construction at the Surrey Memorial Hospital

This is the epitome of stupidity. I'm driving by the Surrey Memorial Hospital today and I notice two new huge holes out front each with a new crane in them. Normally this is nothing new since Surrey is growing and they have been doing construction at that hospital for quite some time now. However, as soon as I look at it I notice that something just isn't right.

I scan the scene and say where on earth is that new parkade they just built? Then I focus in on the two holes and to my amazement the two new holes are exactly where the new multi level parking lot was they just built. That is insane. I ask around and read the sign out front only to discover they tore down the new parking lot to build another one. That is fiscally irresponsible.





The above three pictures are what it looks like now and the next three are from Google Street view which shows the huge parkade they just built that they just tore down. I remember it well because when they first built it we were all mildly synical of how it was such a typical capitalist thing to do. Build a big parking lot to charge customers instead of building more hospital space.







Tearing down a new multi level parkade they just built only to build another parking lot is fiscally irresponsible. My concern has nothing to do with leftist ideals. This is a right wing, capitalist, make money save taxes concern. What they have done is not right wing. What they did was a shoot yourself in the foot waste of tax dollars. I asked why they tore down a new parking lot only to build another one and one lady said so they can't hire any more doctors. Indeed.

It's just like spending all that money upgrading the current City Hall in the perfect location for business only to throw it away and create this grossly extravagant ivory tower in the City Centre that we don't need. Evidently Dianne Watts did build that incinerator in Surrey after all. Only it doesn't burn garbage, it just burns tax dollars. The rest of the country need to understand what kind of fiscal disaster Dianne Watts has created in Surrey before she enters federal politics and spreads that fiscally irresponsible plague across the country. Buyer Beware.

Dianne Watts' civil suit settled out of court

The Voice reported that Dianne Watts civil suit was scheduled to be in court June 17 2014 at the BC Supreme Court in Vancouver. This civil suit was in relation to a car accident she was involved in on April 23, 2010. Laila Yuile has reported on the background of the case. I am told the case has now been settled out of court but am trying to find a link confirming that. The Voice did report on February 14th 2014 that it was scheduled for June 17th. It is possible they made an error as the secret settlement hasn't been mentioned in the media yet.

There was a great deal of false information being reported about the accident in the press when the story first broke. Initially it was reported that the other party ran a red light and that the mayor was T-boned. However, that was simply untrue. Later the police admitted that the mayor's car T-boned the other vehicle but claimed the mayor had the green light. According to the mayor of course. However, the other driver who sued the mayor claims they had the green light and it was the mayor who ran the red light.

Lets' look at the scene and determine believability of the conflicting claims. Police say Watts was driving her white Cadillac SUV east on 24th Avenue when it collided with a dark-coloured sedan heading north on 128th Avenue around 11 p.m. 128th is the main road and 24th is the side road that intersects it. Locals who are familiar with the intersection claim that the mayor's story is not believable because it is a demand light.

Since 128th Street is the main road, it normally has the green light. For that light to change, you have to stop at the intersection on 24th Avenue to trigger the demand light. Since we know the other vehicle was traveling down 128th street and that the mayor was traveling along 24th Avenue, it was not physically possible for the mayor to t-bone the other vehicle if she had the green light since she would of had to have come to a complete stop to trigger the demand light first.

If Dianne Watts is found culpable in this case there is no way the taxpayers of Surrey should be held liable for her negligence. If I get in a car accident on my way home from work or a work Christmas party, my employer is not responsible for my car accident.



Update: Ironically Global and CBC are reporting that Dianne Watts has just announced she will not seek reelection as the Mayor of Surrey. Oh Happy Day. The Globe and Mail reported that the local concerns with the crime she failed to address would have made her reelection difficult. This announcement fuels speculation that she will be running for Stephen Harpers tax and spend NeoCons in Whiterock federally since the BC Liberals have dumped her. What a perfect place for her. That way she can continue the same old con about reducing taxes and spending then do the exact opposite when in power. Pork Barrel Politics strikes again.

Doing the #AGT Poodle

We've all heard about Soldier Boy and the Harlem Shake. I can assure you that the Harlem Shake has nothing to do with Harlem. When I stayed there back in the /80's there was a different dance that was popular. It was based on a song by Joeski Love called Doing the Pee Wee Herman. I always thought it was an old LL Cool J song but it turns out it was Joeski Love.

When I was in New York, all the brothers were doing it. They'd laugh and say Doing the Pee Wee Herman then start this ridiculous dance that pulled their knees in together while they moved their pointer fingers twice in the front then twice in the back. They knew it looked silly but they all thought it was hilarious. Everyone was doing it and I was wondering were on earth it came from.

Years later I finally figured it out. I saw a video clip on youtube from an old Pee Wee Herman movie where he was caught in a biker bar and accidentally knocked over a line of Harleys. They dragged him into the bar and right before they were going to beat the life out of him he made one last request. He asked they play the song Tequila on the jukebox while he danced to it on the table. He ended up breaking some glasses to the bikers approval and since he won them over they let him live. When I saw the video I said that's it! That the dance all the brothers were doing back in the /80's to the song that made a reference to Pee Wee Herman.

Well now thanks to Alex Tsakumis, we have a new song and dance. This one's called the #AGT Poodle. It starts off like the Creep from Lonely Island and Nicki Minaj by raising your hands in a claw like motion and starts to snarl like a dog, only it's much faster and much more frantic. It's kind of like a dog chasing it's tail only it's more like a small dog frantically biting at the wind all around it in every direction. If there's any musicians out there who can put it to music we'll start the new dance sensation. BTW Political Satire is not unlawful. Yet.

Alex Tsakumis has lost his Mind

We need to take a deeper look at Alex Tsakumis' bullying and the circumstances that surround it. We've already written about his recent bullying of a blog reader who posted a link to one of my blog posts on Twitter. He called her home and left a message on her voice mail threatening to sue her for doing so. However, he had already found her phone number and called her at home threatening her about an earlier post she made on Twitter before that.

Before she committed the unpardonable sin of posting a link to one of my blog posts, she retweeted a tweet from someone else who simply asked what the status of Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts' court case regarding her civil suit for her car accident back in 2010. A valid question since it will be in Vancouver Supreme court on June 17th.



All she did is retweet a tweet from someone else asking a simple and valid question. For that heinous crime Alex Tsakumis went to her personal web site, found her real name and looked up her telephone number in the phone book and called her at home raging on her for making such an offensive post. Clearly Alex is Dianne Watt's attack poodle ruining interference for her in the press.

Again linking is not defamation. I submit that applies to retweeting a tweet from someone else especially when there was no possible way there was anything unlawful about the original tweet since it simply asked a valid question. Why is Alex Tsakumis so obsessed with Dianne Watts?

This whole smear campaign of Barinder Rasode doesn't make sense. He keeps slamming her and called her a whore for exploiting the death of a hockey mom for her own political gain. That simply doesn't make sense. The whole community was outraged by the murder of a hockey mom in Newton and were upset the city has done nothing about ongoing complaints about drug dealers in the area creating a large amount of violent crime there.

Barinder Rasode steps in and says, you're right, we haven't done enough and we need to do more. At first I thought she was running interference for Team Godzilla. Trying to spin their negligence by sounding empathetic. Instead of embracing the quest Dianne Watts and her attack poodles launched a smear campaign against her. Alex's claims don't make sense and are very hypocritical.

Dianne Watts did the exact same thing when she ran against Doug McCallum. She claimed we weren't doing enough on crime and ran against him on that very platform. He is complaining about Barinder for doing the exact same thing his client did against McCallum. Not only that but Dianne Watts' crime prevention coalition campaign has been one complete fraud. That's why locals are upset. She said one thing and did another. Alex's minimizing a hockey mom's death is offensive.

What is also concerning is Alex's frantic bullying of everyone who disagrees with him. His burning bridges with Bill Tieleman was absolutely bizarre as is all these endless threats of frivolous legal action. If you look at the court registry, Alex is always suing or getting sued by someone.



There are many more cases I should expound upon but I will suffice it to say that the crazed obsession with bullying and threatening everyone one is concerning. It's time to have a talk with Doctor Phil. The guy is barely over 5 feet tall. He is definitely over compensating for something.

I don't know what Alex is so upset about. My cholesterol is a little high but I did get a haircut. How do you like me now? Please advise. Second thought don't bother. I've heard enough.

Alex Tsakumis is a Bully

Alex is a bully. Long after threatening me with a frivolous lawsuit for telling the truth he is now stalking a random blog reader who happened to post a link to one of my blog posts on Twitter. Here is the message he left on her phone after he already called her home threatening her.

Here's the deal. Linking is not defamation. That is the case law. That is the jurisprudence. If I or anyone else makes a blog post that quotes a news outlet and says the Vancouver Sun is reporting that... I can't get sued for defamation if the Vancouver Sun actually did say that even if what they said it untrue. If the Vancouver Sun printed something that is untrue, you have to sue them. You can't sue someone who linked to an article they wrote. This matter has been tried in the courts and is now a part of case law. It has already been decided by the Supreme Court of Canada so there is no sense in retying the matter again when it has already been decided. CBC has reported on the decision as well as Michael Geist. True me blogging about something is a bit different but this woman just posted a link which relates specifically to the Supreme Court Decision about linking.

I submit that the same applies to posting a link on Twitter or Facebook. Linking is not defamation. This is the post on Twitter that Alex is freaking out about:



They Tweeted the tittle of one of my blog posts and a link to it. Alex has absolutely no business threatening this woman with legal action and had absolutely no business repeatedly phoning her at home. That is harassment. He is a bully.

If I have said something that is untrue, then he has to sue me not someone who links to what I have said. End of story. Any further phone calls to this woman constitutes harassment. There is absolutely no jurisdiction to sue her. He has to sue me instead. However, there is absolutely no grounds whatsoever to sue me because I didn't say anything that is untrue. I posted a screen cap of what he really did say as evidence. When Alex said I have misrepresented what he said that is totally untrue. The screen cap is proof he is lying.

On January 6th 2014 The Surrey Now along with several other media outlets reported that Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts apologized for liking a Facebook post calling one of her counselors a Coward. The media were being nice. On January 8th I made a blog post pointing out that the post Dianne Watts clicked like to didn't say coward, it said whore. Alex Tsakumis was the one who made the original post and Dianne Watts clicked like on it.

Since then Dianne Watts came up with this ridiculous story claiming that she clicked like on it by accident. I find that very hard to believe. That now leaves us with one of two options, she's lying again and liked a post calling Barinder Rasode a whore or she is an idiot and has no idea how to use Facebook and can't figure out how to click like on a post or how to click unlike on it after she clicked like by accident. So by her own claim she is either a liar or an idiot.

Not long after making the post, Alex contacted me by E-mail and threatened legal action against me for defaming him. At the time he claimed that further down in the comments of that post things were said about him that was untrue. He was referring to his business interests owning property in the conflicted proposed tower in Semiahmoo that the local residents are fighting with a passion. He claimed he wasn't the one that owned the property it was someone else by the same name. I said that's not a very common surname. Is it a relative? He then said it was his cousin. So I clarified in the comments that is wasn't Alex the blogger it was his cousin. So yes it was a different person but yes it was a family member. End of story, confusion clarified.

Yet that wasn't enough. He kept going on and on claiming I had defamed him and he was going to sue me. I pulled a George Buchanan and said what have I written that is untrue? Tell me specifically what statement. He refused. He demanded I remove his name from my entire blog instantly or he was going to sue me on the spot. I said removing his name from my blog entirely is totally unrealistic. I have a right to tell the public what he really called Barinder especially after he boldly wrote into the paper after the fact and instead of apologizing ranted about how he stood by what he said. If he was bold enough to write into the paper and tell the public he was defiantly standing by what he had said, then I have a Charter Right to tell the public what he really did say not the watered down family version.

After he threatened me I made this second post clarifying the matter. I thought for sure we were going to court. I have been there many times before. I knew he didn't have a case. I heard nothing for several months until recently. All of a sudden he starts up his bullying again. He made up some ridiculous story about how I misrepresented what he said and how I posted a draft version of what he said. I pointed out that was a lie. There is no such thing as a draft post on Facebook. You either post it or you don't. Someone on his friend's list got a screen cap of what he originally said. The one that Dianne Watts actually clicked like to.

At least now he came clean and told me what his real concern was with my blog post. It had nothing to do with anything anyone said in the comments. He wanted what he really said censored from the Internet because it made him look bad. It was however the truth and does not constitute defamation. I have a lot more to say on this but will let this suffice for now. There will be more to come. Much more. Linking is not Defamation. Alex Tsakumis is a bully. He has no right to harass this woman for someone I said which was true. End of story. Well, not quite...

Maybe Alex just wants a starring role in Dianne Watt's new movie? Go Godzilla!

Langley Ecstasy Lab Bust

Global is reporting that the Surrey RCMP drug section searched a property in the 20600 block of 72nd Avenue in Langley yesterday. A 36-year-old Surrey resident was arrested and has since been released until the drug related charges have been approved.

It doesn't say what drugs they found or were looking for but the name of their picture says meth lab which would explain why they are wearing hazmat clothing. Crystal meth is nasty. They make it with Drano. That was Kerry Ryan Renaud's specialty.

The Peace Arch News is referring to it as a clandestine lab and that the house appeared to be the focus of a large-scale operation. They are also reporting that a storage locker in South Surrey was searched as part of the investigation. No chemicals were found in the storage locker but other items were seized in connection with the investigation into the lab.

The Surrey Now is reporting that it was ecstasy not crystal meth and that National Geographic filmed the raid. Now that the sassafras oil used to make ecstasy has become so hard to get, E is made from a different much more dangerous chemical now called BZP which results in a different product and many more fatalities.

Update: According to ScanBC #Vancouver Fire Hazmat Team was on scene investigating several garbage bags full of unknown chemicals at 2100 West 46th Ave and #Vancouver Fire Hazmat Team was responding to 3900 Knight Street after someone dumped meth lab supplies in an alley. Go Hazmat. Cleaning up toxic waste in a city near you. They ain't afraid of no chemicals.

Edmonton Hells Angels targeted by Police

The Edmonton Sun is reporting that the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) searched seven Edmonton homes this morning, including the Hells Angels Westridge chapter clubhouse near 159 Street and 81 Avenue. Houses in Acheson, Strathcona County, and Leduc were also combed. As a result of the raids Global is reporting that a number of people associated with the Hells Angels were arrested and are facing organized crime charges. Three cheers!

The Edmonton Sun reports that Blake Christie, a full patch member of the Hells Angels, and his 29-year-old associate Kelly Kratky were the focus of the investigation that began in the early part of October. In February, 10 people, including a full patch member of the Hells Angels, were arrested and charged with nearly 40 offenses after police searched four homes — one in St. Albert and four in Edmonton — finding a medley of weapons and drugs.



A couple stories that article linked to that I miss include one from 2012 about two members of the Hells Angels’ Edmonton chapter were handed prison terms for their role in providing protection for a Fort McMurray drug gang.

The other was one from Red Deer 2010 where police were called to the Urban Rodeo in the 4700 Block of Gaetz Avenue on Jan. 24 where it was reported that a group of women were involved in an altercation with several members of the Hells Angels. One man, a 58-year-old from Spruce Grove, faces two charges of assault. His alleged victims are two women, aged 20 and 21. Police say the man is a member of the outlaw motorcycle gang.

Update: Global is now reporting that six members of the Hells Angels are facing organized crime charges: Dominic DiPalma, 33, from Strathcona County, Darcy Lee, 38, from Edmonton, Troy Pawluk, 43, from Edmonton, Eduardo Bartolozzi, 34, from Edmonton, Roy Radies, 50, from Acheson and Dustin Lowry, 35, from Edmonton.

Police seized 19 Hells Angels vests, 26 lbs of marijuana and two handguns. Not a significant haul given the volume of cocaine they have been dealing in Nanaimo and across the country but recognize that they are pretty smart in Edmonton and have the puppet clubs like the Whiteboy Posse do their dirty work for them. Since they are in charge of puppet clubs like the White boy Posse, that makes criminal organization charges totally within order.

A CTV Edmonton video is reporting that the police are starting to show off their trophies from the searches. In the video it shows a guy wearing an 81 support shirt towing a trailer on site the police didn't have a search warrant for. Surely they have grounds for one now. One blog reader identified him to be Shawn Anderson, a striker for the Dirty Few MC.

Mom Boucher's Status

The Toronto Sun and CJAD are quoting a Journal de Montreal article claiming that Mom Boucher has been kicked out of the Hells Angels. I sincerely doubt it, but it's definitely worth looking into. QMI Agency is a good source. The question is, is it true or is it a propaganda campaign to help with his parole. It could just be his position was been suspended while in jail so someone else can resolve disputes between chapters while he's in jail.

The reason I find it hard to believe is because that was the whole point of the Rock Machine leaders crossing over right before he went to prison. So his friends would protect his political interests. Salvatore Cazetta became the Montreal president.

We know that Boucher became a member of the Hells Angels along with Bif Hammel after the Death Riders betrayal and take over shortly after Boucher got out of prison for armed rape. There have been reports that his influence has started to dwindle over the years. He was stabbed a second time in prison back in 2010. The first time he was stabbed there was swift retaliation. We haven't heard about any retaliation the second time.

I am however, very interested in finding out if the allegation is true. The article didn't say his leadership status was suspended while he's in prison it said he was kicked out as in bad standing. If that is true, then that is profound. Usually that would mean it came from his own chapter. I'm not sure what this East coast meeting is supposed to mean. There are no real chapters east of Quebec. The Hells Angels have been basically banned from Nova Scotia. They just have puppet clubs in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. No one with any authority over Boucher. Quebec has always been over them.

James Riach Search Warrant Appeal

People have been asking if I have heard any news about the James Riach drug bust in the Philippines. I have not. Other than the fact that they are trying to get their search warrant thrown out over claims of an illegal search. However, this article claims the police did in fact get a search warrant. The defense claims they didn't have probable cause to get the search warrant which in my opinion is highly unlikely because they were obviously right.

The civil liberty concern is when the police do warrantless searches. In this case the police did in fact obtain a search warrant. They had to of have had some probable cause because they were right. We know that James Raich is a member of the Independent Soldiers which is a Hells Angels puppet club that sells drugs for the Hells Angels. Spike's other niece was with them in the Philippines and has a child with his co accused. James Riach was with IS member Randy Naicker at the Castle fun Park meeting with the Bacon brothers before the Surrey Six and was in the car when Larry Amero and Jonathon Bacon were shot in Kelowna. There have been unsubstantiated reports that the Mexican cartel has put a hit on them after the bust.

Privatized Prisons and the US Incarceration Rate

Someone sent in a link to a very interesting graphic about the US incarceration rate and how that has increased with the introduction of privatized prisons. It's actually quite disturbing.

The United States has the highest prison incarceration rate per capita compared to any other country in the world. That is not a good model. Especially for the "free world." Part of the problem is the introduction of privatized prisons that are mandated to make a profit at taxpayers expense. Privatized prisons are a huge conflict of interest.

Some people interpret these statistics to mean the war on drugs is wrong. I disagree. The war on drugs isn't wrong. It's just that the CIA is on the wrong side of that war. I don't think 30 year prison sentences for nonviolent crime are the answer either. 3 months for selling not using crack is not excessive. 6 months for a second offense and a year for a third offense is not excessive. It is fair and reasonable.

The US has a program called three strikes and you're out. Although the US incarceration rate is not a positive model to follow, the Canadian model is on the opposite extreme when dealing with prolific offenders. The more crime a prolific offender commits in Canada the less time they serve in prison. The judges here have it completely backwards. The VPD launched a campaign called 30 strikes and your out. The sad thing is, they weren't kidding. Without going from one extreme to the other, this needs to change.

White Boy Posse trial underway

The trial of White Boy posse member Randy O'Hagan in the Lorry Santos murder is underway. The court was told that it was not uncommon for members who left the gang to be killed because they would know too much about the organization. Such was the case in the Lorry Santos murder.

A member of the gang named Trevor Cromartie also referred to as TJ had left the gang and there was a hit put out on him by the gang. Sadly the shooters got the wrong house and murdered an innocent mother by mistake.

On day three of the trial testimony focused on the involvement of Randy O'Hagan with White Boys Posse member Josh Petrin. Josh was close friends with Sean Jackson aka Fat Mike. Josh got all the product from him. Sean was supplied by the Hells Angels. Josh has been charged with Mitchell Chambers and Brian Gowers murder.

The Canadian Gas Pump Scam

This one is astounding. It's a perfect example of the boiling frog syndrome. If you put a frog into hot water it will jump out but if you put it in warm water and gradually turn up the heat, it will stay there until it boils. That's why FBI Whistle blower Sibel Edmonds calls her blog the Boiling Frog Post.

Everyone complains about the price of gas. However, this new set of record jumps in price is yet another example of how the government has helped destroy a free market with a corporate monopoly. The oil companies can charge whatever they want whenever they want because there is no competition. They have a monopoly on the market that was created with tax dollars.

The Canadian Association of Energy and Pipeline Landowner Associations states: "Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain, like all pipelines in Canada, is a franchise monopoly. That means it is protected by government from competition. Which means it can do what monopolies always do: abuse customers by jacking prices and cutting service. In theory, government regulators are supposed to protect consumers from this sort of thing. But given the reality of regulator capture it doesn’t work that way in practice."

In 1911 the United States Supreme Court ruled that Rockefeller' Standard Oil was an illegal monopoly. Now the politicians who accept huge campaign contributions form the oil companies call monopolies good business. We have no anti trust laws any more. That is the problem right there and right now it is a bigger threat to our civil liberty than Russia.

On top of that, Stephen Harper sold Canada's oil rights to Communist China so every time we get gouged at the pumps we are funding the military expansion of a Communist dictatorship. China supports North Korea just like the Hells Angels support puppet clubs.
