Fatal shooting in Winnipeg

CTV is reporitng that "A shooting in Winnipeg on Sunday has left one man dead. According to the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS), officers were called to the 500 block of Bannatyne Avenue around 8:40 p.m. for the report of a shooting. When police got to the scene, they found an injured male youth in stable condition, and a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Homicide Unit is now investigating. The identities of those involved have yet to be confirmed."
Google is reporting that "Indian Posse, Native Syndicate, Terror Squad, Manitoba Blood Family, PK Mobsters, Redd Alert, Mad Cowz, Bloods, the Zig Zag Crew, and MOB are all known rivals of the MW." MW stands for Manitoba Warriors. That's actually quite comical. That means everyone else work for the Hells Angels. As I said Winnipeg, like Edmonton, has always been Red and White. There was Rock Machine several years ago who were rivals but they are long gone.

  1. Indian Posse and Manitoba Warriors are still quite present, just not running the show of course.. Unfortuantely a lot of the violence there stems from the avg street user / petty small time pusher. The indigenious youth down there seem to rep "bloods" too which is funny to me.

I have burner social media count with lots of people from Winnipeg and its constant talk about meth, guns, knives and robbing people. And they proudly talk about it.

    1. Nope. The HAs are very determined and tenacious. What they can't shoot from the front, they'll stab in the back.

    3. I don't understand why we can't deal effectively with the criminal element and protect the rights of the citizenry both. It's like we have to indulge a fiction that these people aren't a threat to society or something. They are, deal with them and solve the problem so we can all get on with our lives. I mean really solve the problem, not pretend to but never accomplish it. We don't need or want drug dealing gangs to get rich stealing our children's lives and future. I'm not suggesting we get rid of them but surely there is an effective way of eliminating their ability to ruin lives other than their own.

    4. The problem is the government. Take a look at the government polices in the DTES promoting drugs, crime and exploitation. That same insanity repeats itself across Canada and the US. LA and NYC have become Liberal sh*t holes filled with drugs, crime and violence. Until we change the politicians it will not improve. As soon as one agency makes a good bust the politicians disband that agency and transfer those involved behind a desk. If we want to make a difference we need to put people like Cameron Ortis, Bill Majcher and Kim Marsh in charge of crime reduction.

  6. "gentlemen motorcycle riders"????? Perhaps more like thugs in suits and better hair cuts. There have always been business men, executives, etc. who rode motorcycles and liked to pretend they were tough guys Some one once referred to them as "pigs on parade". As best as I can recall they exsisted in one form or another since the 1970s

Having watched this drug shit show for almost all of my life, it just gets worse and its not just in Vancouver, Its all over North America.
Can this problem be solved? Of course, but it will not be cheap and people just don't want to spend the money for mental health, starting with kids, better health care for pregnant women, more transition houses for women--its not the women who just need them, but their children, Children who watch domestic violence on a regular basis are not going to grow up to be health, well adjusted people. Children's self esteem needs to improved so they feel better about them selves and feel like they have some control over their lives.
Putting drug dealers, etc. in jail, taxpayers aren't going to like that, jails cost a great deal of money as does the staffing. the jails aren't places for helping people deal with their demons.
It isn't just the gangs who profit from drug dealing and stealing. There are others further up the food chain. Going after low level dealers without a long range plan isn't going to do much of anything because the people at the top of the food chain will simply find new people to do the work for them

    1. Making drug busts is a good barometer to show the police are doing their job. If they're not making drug busts they aren't doing anything. After a long hiatus the CFSEU finally started making drug busts again. Sadly they've stopped which means the person who started doing his job was transferred to a different department. That shows the corruption in the RCMP come from the top down. It's that simple.

All this song and dance about money for this and money for that is a red herring. Enforcement is one of the four pillars. When government policies promote crime and addiction and when law enforcement refuse to enforce the law we see the agenda unfold. Portland is another example of a liberal sh*t hole where government policies promote crime and addiction.
