CTV is reporting that "A man has died and police are looking witnesses following a shooting in Maple Ridge, B.C., on Friday.
The Ridge Meadows RCMP said the shooting happened shortly before noon on 216th Street between Lougheed Highway and Dewdney Trunk Road."
CTV is reporting that IHIT states that the name of the victim is Cory William Thomas. "Police believe the shooting was connected to the local drug trade."
