Christmas gun sales

In case you missed the famous December gun sale in Surrey all is not lost. There are still plenty of deals to be had and Wholesale Sports in Langley has tons of ammo and firearms on sale as they are going out of business. Too bad. They were a great outlet. They don't have much left in the way of handguns but they have tons of ammo and long guns. They even have a pump action shotgun with a drum clip for 700 bucks. Now that's what I'm talking about. Merry Christmas yo.

    1. I realize some gun enthusiasts get all bent out of shape over the use of the term clip instead of magazine but I don't. Drum clip / drum kit. It's all the same. Drum magazine sounds dumb. The House of Pain says clip and so do I:

  2. Not a matter of BOOS, it's just not the correct term and is often used as a gauge of people's actual knowledge of firearms.

A clip is a piece of formed sheet metal that holds two or more cartridges together to facilitate their loading into a weapon. The clip is usually more descriptively described as a "stripper clip" since the tip of one end is inserted into the clip guide and the rounds stripped down into the magazine by thumb pressure, the clip then being discarded. Most typically we are talking about 5 or 10 rounds with a good example of two instances of exception to the definition being the M-1 Garand which clip holds 8 and is an example of an "en bloc" clip, where the rounds and the clip are loaded into the weapon together and the clip stays there, in this instance being ejected along with the casing of the last cartridge when it is fired.

Short version, a clip is used to load cartridges into the weapon's magazine. Also the term drum magazine is used to differentiate between a drum mag and a stick mag, often shortened to just drum id everyone involved in the conversation already knows we're talking about guns.

They tend to rattle a bit, (or a lot) aren't as rugged as sticks and they're awkward to carry multiples of. KISS.

Drum clip sounds better than drum magazine.
