World cup on Commercial Drive

When Spain and Italy were squared off at the world cup I shuddered to consider the result. Both countries take their football / soccer very seriously. When I heard Spain won, I knew there would be mourning on Commercial Drive. Yet someone sent me a link to this photo in the Vancouver Sun of an idiot strutting down commercial drive rubbing their noses in it. He’s wearing a Support 81 Nomads shirt. That’s rather bizarre. My condolences Italia.

  1. Is that 'HA81' or 'IQ81'? Either way, he's borderline retarded.

  2. I think the Nomad part would mean HA 81 but the facial expressions does reflect some mental health issues.

  3. He is actually a very nice person that was expressing his love of a game during a time of love and support for a country winning a world soccer game. The people that are making fun of someone's expression calling them handicapped or simply making fun of the way someone looks should be ashamed of there selves. If you people understood what this man went through in his horrific accident you would all be ashamed of your selves. He is a friend that most of you people would never have the opportunity to meet especially for these very poor poor comments. You should be ashamed. Very

  4. Not true. He intentionally went on Commercial Drive knowing there would be a large Italian population celebrating or mourning after the game. He intentionally went there knowing there would be a lot of Italian supporters for the sole purpose of mocking them and rubbing their faces in it. He also did so while wearing a Hells Angels support shirt. Point granted if he really was mentally challenged it would not be appropriate to make fun of that. However, since he's being a prick with the intent of offending people, I think the facial expressions speak for them selves. The guy isn't playing with a full deck.
