Rob Ford crack video released after publication ban lifted

The Metro news is reporting that since the publication ban on the extortion trial related to the Rob Ford crack pipe video has finally been lifted the new video of him smoking crack is now online.

So should we have set up a safe inhalation site for Rob Ford to smoke crack or should we send him to rehab? Rehab was the humane thing to do. Perpetuating his addiction was not. Confronting the problem is what forced him into rehab. Remember when courts used to force prolific offenders into rehab? Now the drug dealers support groups just continue to promote the drug trade and any rehab centre that helps people get off drugs instead of turning them into lifetime methadone addicts can't get government funding. Health Canada is the biggest criminal organization in the country funding the tax paid pharmaceutical scam as well as Insite's tax paid junkets.

Update: I totally forgot that Rob Ford passed away. Not to speak ill of the dead, but this guy did have a few issues. My point here is that for drugs like crack rehab is good, harm promotion is not.

  1. Yes, Rob Ford did go to rehab. it was that or loose his political career. He had something to loose, many don't and all they have is their drugs. It might also be interesting to note Rob Ford was a millionaire and there was plenty of money to afford the best rehab centres around. Most drug addicts don't have that luxury. They are poor and so are their families.

I'd suggest governments prefer safe injection sights is because they are cheaper. if they go the safe injection site, its just less money and they appear to be doing something. Governments like an either or situation and usually choose the less expensive one for them.

In my opinion what the government ought to be doing is spending a lot of money on rehab and then some money on harm reduction like "safe injection sites".

Right now the cost of not doing much is borne by the average citizen via being ripped off by drug addicted thieves and neighbourhoods which are taken over by drug addicts. Because most of it is contained in neighbourhoods which do not have a lot of political clout politicians don't care that much. Just wait until they set up business in Kerrisdale or Point Grey Rd. or some expensive neighbourhood in Surrey. It will all be over in minutes.

    1. Yes, handing out free needles or opening a safe injection site may seem to be cheaper and that's why they do it but it is far more costly in the long run. Insite's slush fund corruption is but one example. Making rehab more available for those who want it would be in everyone's best interest.

  2. Hey Dennis, maybe you can help me out. I've googled, but been unable to get any info about who the hell this Elena Basso chick is. What is her relationship to Ford?

The conversation they were having during the video is a real "meeting of the minds" lol.

    1. Apparently Elena Basso was a crack dealer that lived in the home where the video was taken. Seemingly she and her brother were friends of Rob Ford.

    1. Unfortunately not. As we know the clown ran for City Council instead of mayor and got in. So who's the bigger fool - the fool or the fool that votes for him?

  6. We did hear the last of Rob Ford. He died of cancer. We however have not heard the last of the Ford family. Once Rob Ford died, his seat on council had to be filled. A by-election was held and his nephew was elected. And they voters aren't stupid.
