CTV is reporting that "A large cocaine bust on a boat attempting to dock in Halifax has revealed how easily foreign vessels can enter into Canada.The Canadian Border Services Agency says the vessel came from the Caribbean on July 17 and didn't report to the agency when it entered the country. The next day, the boat was searched, and 270 kilograms of suspected cocaine was found. Two people on board were arrested by the RCMP, who also seized the drugs."
CBSA reported that
"On June 10, 2021, CBSA Waterfront Cargo Inspection Unit officers examined a shipping container at the Port of Halifax.
As a result of this examination, 54.7 kg of suspected cocaine was seized by officers." Bradley Michael Gaudrault
Salt Wire reported that "Bradley Michael Gaudrault, 30, pulled up to the Canadian border at Carway, Alta. on March 17, 2018, with 31 kilograms of coke hidden in his Nissan Xterra."
He was sentenced to 8 years in prison last June.
