Lights to Hollyburn Lodge

Cypress has a new thing going on in the cross country area called Lights to the Lodge. They have lined two of the snowshoe trails to Hollyburn lodge with Christmas lights so you can snowshoe in at night without a headlamp. I took my kids there last night. It's awesome.

It's a great introduction to snowshoeing since snowshoe rentals are included in the ticket. There's a cafe in the lodge where you can buy hot chocolate and homemade soup. It's a positive event.

Toronto police admit using secretive facial recognition technology Clearview AI

Facebook updates its controversial facial recognition settings

CBC is reporting that "Toronto police have admitted some of their officers have used Clearview AI — a powerful and controversial facial recognition tool that works by scraping billions of images from the internet — one month after denying using it. Spokesperson Meaghan Gray said in an email that some members of the force began using the technology in October 2019. She did not say what for or how many times it had been used." Just like they admitted to using Stingrays.

"Chief Mark Saunders directed those officers to stop using the technology when he became aware of its use on Feb. 5, she said. Gray did not say who originally approved the use of the app. Clearview AI can turn up search results, including a person's name and other information such as their phone number, address or occupation, based on nothing more than a photo. The program is not available for public use. Gray said officers were "informally testing this new and evolving technology." She did not say how the chief found out."

"Concerns began mounting about the software earlier this year after a New York Times investigation revealed the software had extracted more than three billion photos from public websites like Facebook and Instagram and used them to create a database used by more than 600 law enforcement agencies in the U.S., Canada and elsewhere."

"In January, Toronto police told CBC News they used facial recognition, but denied using Clearview AI. It's unclear if police purchased the technology — if so, it was never disclosed publicly — or were allowed to test it. At the time, Ontario Provincial Police also said they used facial recognition technology, but wouldn't specific which tools they used. The RCMP would not say what tools it uses. Vancouver's police department said it had never used the software and had no intention of doing so." But that's what Toronto said until they were caught. What's that stingray antenna doing on the back of the East Vancouver Courthouse?

Global is reporting that "This was weeks after the New York Times first reported that hundreds of law enforcement agencies were using Clearview AI’s app, which cross-references uploaded images of people against three billion photos it says it has in a database of images scraped from social media and millions of other websites." This is the facial recognition that Facebook uses.

China uses SenseTime which is Orwellian.

Telus plans rollout of 5G network using Huawei technology

CBC is reporting that "Telecommunications company Telus Corp. says it is planning to roll out its 5G network in the near future using some technology from Chinese component maker Huawei."

"CFO Doug French told The Financial Post newspaper that the telecommunications provider is moving ahead with plans to build its next-generation 5G network by the end of the year, and will do so using some components supplied by Huawei, the Chinese company that has been criticized by numerous countries in recent years over allegations that its components make networks vulnerable to spying by Beijing or others."

If you use a Chinese network you're being spied on by China. If you use an American network you're being spied on by the CIA, NSA, Google, Facebook and every other two bit corporation out there. Take your pick. Six of one half a dozen of the other.

Meanwhile back on the ranch, CBC is also reporting that "The U.S. Department of Justice hit telecommunications giant Huawei with new charges of stealing trade secrets and breaking sanctions by doing business with North Korea." GMAFB. China did business with North Korea. Big Surprise. What about organ harvesting of political prisoners in China? You don't care about the things that matter. You only care about a trade competitor. You are pathetic.

Fatal Shooting in Langley

Global is reporting that the man wounded in the Langley shooting February 7th outside Chuck E Cheese has died of his injuries. "A person who contacted Global News claiming to be close to the victim says the man was inside the truck when he was shot - and that his two young children were in the backseat at the time." That is messed up.

Police incident in Surrey

There was a police incident in Surrey last night around 10 PM at 104th Avenue and 156th. 104th was completely closed off to traffic but since they got rid of Scan BC, the public has no idea what that police incident was about. The Surrey RCMP needs greater public accountability.

Bombardier exits commercial aerospace

The Montreal Gazette is reporting that "Bombardier Inc. is transferring its 33.6-per-cent stake in the partnership that builds the plane formerly known as the C Series to Airbus SE and the government of Quebec, the companies said in a statement issued early Thursday. Airbus paid Bombardier $591 million to boost its stake to 75 per cent, while Quebec now holds the remaining 25 per cent." This appears to be good news. Bombardier is a bad company like Lockheed Martin.

"Bombardier now has pro-forma cash-on-hand of more than $4 billion and liquidity to $5.5 billion, it said Thursday in a separate statement on fourth-quarter results. Bombardier added it’s actively pursuing options that would allow it to accelerate deleveraging and pay down debt." Wonderful. How about paying back some of the billions of tax dollars it has squandered over the years.

This brings us back to the Super Hornet. Boeing is good, Bombardier is bad and Lockheed Martin is even worse. Boeing's Super hornet is a superior aircraft compared with the Lockheed Martin F35 money trap. Boeing's Super Hornet works in the Canadian arctic. Lockheed Martin's F35 does not. Contracting out the mid air refueling for the F 35 makes it an impracticable Canadian investment. The Boeing's Super Hornet is rock solid.

Since Bombardier is exiting commercial aerospace, that would appear to resolve Boeing's court case against them and open the door for Canada to restore it's plan to purchase Super Hornets from Boeing. In support of that quest, I totally support giving Boeing tax incentives to build a manufacturing plant in Quebec. That would be fiscally advantageous for Canadian Taxpayers.

Many years ago Ireland offered low corporate tax for new companies that moved to Ireland. As a result, the Shannon Industrial Center was born and large high tech companies started moving to Ireland in the middle of nowhere right beside Paddy and Mick's sheep farm. The theory was 50% of nothing is nothing but 10% of something is something. The theory clearly worked. Google has now moved to Dublin. Everyone who works for Google in Dublin pays taxes on their wages. It was a win win situation for tax revenue. Giving Boeing an incentive to open a plant in Quebec would be in Canadian's best interest. Boeing is a good business model. They don't waste money.

Update: "The Wall Street Journal reports that Bombardier Inc. has reached a preliminary deal to sell its train division to French rail giant Alstom SA for more than US$7 billion. The reported deal with Alstom would come as little surprise since Bombardier, which is carrying long-term debt of US$9.3 billion, announced last month it was studying its options to accelerate its deleveraging, or reducing debt by selling assets."

"It would add to the list of assets the plane and train maker has sold in the last five years, which includes Q400 turboprop planes, the CRJ regional jet program and the former C Series aircraft. The sale would mean the Quebec company is focusing its business on private jets. Bombardier Transportation is based in Berlin and employs some 1,000 workers at factories in Quebec's Bas-St-Laurent region and in St-Bruno-de-Montarville, on Montreal's South Shore."

Pipeline Protest hits Victoria

The frenzy of the pipeline protest has become absurd and I do not support it. These clowns, determined to overthrow the democratic will of the silent majority are protesting against democracy in support of hereditary privileged. The pipeline they are protesting is natural gas from BC it's not Alberta Tar sands oil. Natural gas is good for the environment. Industrial coal is not.

They are determined to overthrow democracy. The protest in Victoria sought to disrupt legislature. The protest in Vancouver sought to disrupt the port. The protest in Ontario sought to disrupt Via Rail. The majority of residents on the Wet'suwet'en reservation have endorsed the Natural Gas pipeline as it is beneficial for them and the environment. The minority is protesting the decision of the majority and are trying to use violence to obtain their goal.

The National Post claims this is not protest, it is insurrection and I agree. It states that Canada should enforce the law and I agree. That is my position on the matter. We need to support democracy not dictatorship. Natural gas is a step forward for the environment and I support it.

Shirley Wilson speaks out: “I don’t agree with the protests at all because it’s all one sided. The protestors that are there a lot come from out of area like Eastern Canada or even the USA."

There was a lot of people at the Stanley cup riot too. I didn't support that either. I oppose lawlessness. I support the rule of law. Port of Vancouver blocked by crack addicts.

Rabih (Robby) Alkhalil's trial is under way

The Montreal Gazette is reporting that "Alkhalil’s trial is being held at the Gouin courthouse in northern Montreal where he is charged with smuggling cocaine into Canada, conspiracy to do the same and other related charges." I do not believe that Shane Baloney was a leader in Montreal’s West End Gang. Shane was from Burnaby. Larry Amero knew him from here.

La Press has a good overview of what was said in court and ties it in with Frédéric Lavoie who was murdered in Colombia. As we previously reported, Steven Skinner murdered and dismembered Frédéric Lavoie in Colombia becasue he skipped town without warning Larry Amero and the others about the coming bust after they got a tip from a dirty cop.

Timoleon Psiharis, who also skipped town after receiving early notice of the pending drug bust was murdered in Greece of all places. Psiharis was tortured, doused with acid and beaten to death in Greece in 2012. The same time that fat a*s Damion Ryan was in Greece around the same time he got his Filthy Few Patch. Imagine that.

So here we have a Surrey girl f*ck up who can't show his face in Surrey without getting capped, ordering the murder of two Quebec members because they had a dirty cop on the payroll and didn't warn them about the bust. First of all, they didn't have time to and second of all, Larry Surrey Girl Amero is a nobody. Capping Quebec members will get him capped. Same thing with that Damion Ryan f*ck up. That's why he wants to join the Witness Protection Program so bad with the rest of the Cub Pack. Police escorts to sell cocaine. They all want in on that.

Sheri Ziaee Human Trafficking Update

Update: Victoria Buzz is reporting that "Just days after two Victoria residents accused of human trafficking were released from custody at a bail hearing, one of them has adopted a new persona on Facebook. 36-year-old Shermineh Sheri Ziaee and 23-year-old Shawn Alexander Kelly were both granted bail terms at a hearing in Swift Current, SK on February 4th, while twin brothers Seyed Kourosh Miralinaghi and Seyed Kamran Miralinaghi were denied bail."

Snowshoeing up Holyburn Ridge

I went snowshoeing up Holyburn Ridge on Cypress today. Sometimes I have to get out of the city and head for higher ground. The dishonesty and deceit is so toxic it's refreshing to rise above it all and enjoy the inner peace that comes from separating yourself from evil.

John Horgan waffles over the RCMP's fake petition

Post Media Trash claims that John Horgan is starting to waffle over the RCMP's fake petition to maintain their obscene level of corruption in Surrey. Ivan Scott's son works for the Surrey RCMP. Aside from being a complete conflict of interest, the online petition funded by Surrey First is fake. Those people do not live in Surrey. They're all RCMP members and their families. Online petitions are like their fake online polls where they have trolls hit reload over and over again.

I live in Surrey. I've lived here since grade five. My children were born and raised here. My parents both died and are burred here. I support Doug McCallum and the creation of a municipal police force in Surrey. Surrey is the largest City in Canada that doesn't have it's own police force. The corruption trying to prevent Surrey from evolving is evidence why it needs to happen. After all, that is why Doug McCallum was elected and Surrey First was defeated.

CBC reported that "Surrey's South Asian temple leaders are calling on the province to move faster to allow a new municipal police service to replace the RCMP. They believe a new police service would help curb disproportionate violence affecting South Asian community members. The executives of Surrey's six largest Sikh Gurdwaras and the largest Hindu Mandir have sent a joint letter to B.C. Solicitor General Mike Farnworth urging him to approve the city plan to replace the Surrey RCMP." Post Media Propaganda didn't report that because they are biased.

Once again Surrey First and the Surrey Disconnect front want to screw over the people of Surrey and the South Asian community. This dishonesty and deceit needs to come to an end.

We remember how IHIT in Surrey screwed up the Surrey Six case because they were sleeping with witnesses. As we speak the Surrey RCMP are giving police escorts to Hells Angel associates in the Witness Protection Program to sell cocaine. That is why the Surrey RCMP refuse to bust the drug trafficking out of Shakerz. This defiant corruption needs to come to an end.

Mark my word, if John Horgan f*cks Surrey over on this, his fragile coalition will fall faster than he can say WTF. Be advised that Surrey First and the Surrey Disconnect Front do not vote NDP. They vote BC Insider trading Liberals. Brenda Locke is a Gordon Campbell left over. Jack Hundia is former RCMP. It doesn't get any dirtier then that. We will support Horgan IF he supports us.

Federal Court certifies another $1.1B RCMP class action

Sinn Féin takes the lead in Ireland's election

The Guardian is reporting that "Sinn Féin will try to form a government in Ireland after apparently winning more votes than any other party in Saturday’s general election – a historic result that upended the political system." Well Tiocfaidh ár lá.

"Sinn Féin, once a pariah for its IRA links, won almost a quarter of first-preference votes, possibly pipping Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil, two centrist rivals that have taken turns ruling Ireland for a century." Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil - they're all cool names with historic roots. Anciently the Fianna were famous Irish warriors led by Fionn Mac Cumhaill.

CNN is billing the Sinn Féin as a left wing party. That would be Labour. Historically the Sinn Féin was the political wing of the IRA and called themselves Republicans because they believed in a free republic as the Irish Proclamation attests. The British Press is going to denounce Sinn Féin for it's historical roots. Yet they don't seem to be willing to denounce generations of British occupation and oppression so lets all move on shall we? If it wasn't for the Republican Army, there would be no free elections in Ireland. Erin Go Bragh, Tiocfaidh ár lá.

Federal Court certifies another $1.1B RCMP class action

Global is reporting that "The Federal Court has certified a $1.1-billion class action alleging RCMP leadership fostered and condoned an environment of systemic bullying, intimidation and harassment. That decision comes as a relief for Staff Sgt. Geoffrey Greenwood, one of the lead plaintiffs, who still works as a plainclothes Mountie in Red Deer, Alta. “There is a systemic culture of intimidation and bullying that nobody to date has ever gotten a handle on or even, in my opinion, tried to rectify.” It begins at Depot and doesn't stop.

This is a third class action lawsuit affecting the RCMP after the fist two sexual harassment class actions were successfully settled. This relates to the pandemic of police corruption in BC that I was referring to and is yet another example of why Surrey is forming a municipal police force.

Unlike the New York City police corruption under the direction of Micheal Dowd, the pandemic of police corruption in BC comes from the top down not the bottom up. The cops on the ground aren't the problem here. Their bosses are the problem. They are the ones that do not let them prosecute Hells Angel associates that sell drugs any more. They are the ones that instruct them to give Hells Angels associates in the Witness Protection Program police protection to sell cocaine. That treason comes from the top down. A bitter tree cannot bring forth good fruit.

We are finally starting the hear about money laundering in BC Casinos but that is old news. What about the money laundering in real estate on Vancouver Island and in the Victoria nightclubs lead investigators are silent partners in? That is what needs to be addressed. The police are not supposed to profit from crime they are supposed to stop crime.

Taiwan scrambles jets to intercept Chinese planes again

Reuters is reporting that "Taiwan's air force scrambled for a second day in a row on Monday to intercept Chinese jets that approached the island claimed by Beijing as its own, as tensions between the two took on a potentially dangerous military dimension. Taiwan's Defence Ministry said Chinese jets, accompanying H-6 bombers, briefly crossed an unofficial mid-line in the Taiwan Strait that separates the two, prompting its air force to rush to intercept and give verbal warnings to leave. The Chinese aircraft then withdrew to the western side of the line, the ministry added, without identifying the jets."

This is why the Communist Party of China should not own our oil rights. That is why we are being gouged at the pumps in Metro Vancouver. This is something we should not endorse.

Stephen Harper, the fake tax and spend Conservative that just sabotaged the nomination process ensuring Justin Trudeau's reelection sold our oil rights to the Communist Party of China. That act of treason needs to be rescinded. Stop the Neo Con. End Corporate Communism in Canada.

#TomPerezResign Trends as 2020 Democrats accuse DNC Chair of changing rules for Mike Bloomberg's benefit

The Week is reporting that "Apparent attempts by Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez to absolve himself of responsibility over the Iowa caucus fiasco have sparked many in the party to begin calling for his resignation. "It's a lack of leadership," Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio) told The Hill in an interview Friday. "If you have the Iowa situation you don't throw them under the bus, you stand up and you support and you try to fix it. He doesn't lead on anything."

What happened was Perez created a manufactured emergency then blamed it on Iowa to rationalize getting rid of volunteers and replacing them with his own paid staff. Oh the cunning plan of the evil one. CNN is promoting the fraud. Twitter is now trending with #TomPerezResign.

Tulsi Gabbard said the trust voters deserve under Perez's leadership has been broken. “Under the leadership of Tom Perez, the DNC has kowtowed to billionaires, caused a debacle in Iowa, and undermined the voter’s trust in our elections.” Exactly. This is why last election we had to chose between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump. Two sh*tty candidates that shouldn't have been on the ballot. The process needs to be more accountable to the voters.

We have the same problem in Canada. Stephen Harper sabotaged the Conservative's nomination process ensuring Justin Trudeau's reelection. Stephen Harper has killed Conservative values in Canada. Harper is an enemy of civil liberty and fiscal responsibility. Likewise, south of the 49, the DNC just secured Donald Trump's reelection. Hang down your head Tom Dooley.

Fatal shooting in in Brantford, Ontario

The Brantford Expositor is reporting that "One man is dead and two others remain in hospital with injuries following a Saturday morning shooting at a Brantford motel. Police and paramedics were called to the Galaxy Motel on Colborne Street East at about 5:50 a.m. to investigate a report of a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, police found three victims – all males – who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. “he three victims were transported to hospital,” Const. Shane Seibert of the Brantford Police said in a statement released at noon Saturday. A 42-year-old male has since succumbed to his injuries. The two other victims remain in hospital.”

Port of Vancouver blocked by crack addicts

Update: Metro Vancouver port blockade prompts injunction, 57 arrested. Thank God.

This is Natural Gas from BC. This is not Alberta Tar Sands oil you f*cking idiots.

The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "Protesters blockaded all three entrances to the Port of Vancouver on Saturday in support of Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs and land defenders trying to halt a natural gas pipeline project in northwest B.C." AYFKM? It's time to stand up to lawlessness and hereditary privileged. We need to support democracy not dictatorship.

The sign reads Oppenheimer to Wet'suwet'en. Oppenheimer park is a sh*t hole of lawlessness empowered by getting away with defying a court order. These are spoiled brats that encourage lawlessness and rape protesting in support of hereditary privileged.

Global reported that "A man has died in hospital following an assault in Oppenheimer Park on New Year’s Day, marking Vancouver’s first homicide of 2020." WTF? They were supposed to disband that rape camp last summer. Women are not safe there.

CBC reported that "Vancouver's independent park board has voted not to pursue a court order to force people living in Oppenheimer Park from the grounds, saying an injunction won't bring the city any closer to a solution for its extensive housing problem." AYFKM?

The Rape Camp at Oppenheimer Park has nothing to do with advocating for the homeless. It's about advocating for lawlessness and rape. We had the same thing happen on the Surrey Strip.

The Provincial government set up modular housing for people on the Surrey Strip and were told to take the housing or leave. Fake poverty advocates said we refuse to leave which meant they refused to take the housing proving that their real agenda wasn't to find housing it was to promote crime and lawlessness. The City of Vancouver and the VPD need to enforce the court order. F*ck the parks board. This is the problem with Vancouver. We let the minority of extremists bully the silent majority. It's time to stand up against hereditary privileged and support democracy.

Is Surrey First Funding Surrey Connect?

On a matter of personal privileged I will clarify that I do not endorse these sleazebag ads popping up on my blog and I can't block them because they don't turn up on an ad search.

Doug McCallum was elected on a promise to get rid of LRT in Surrey and replace it with Skytrain and get rid of the RCMP and replace it with a municipal force. I endorsed him and he won the election. Every single Surrey First incumbent was defeated. Three sleazebags jumped on his bandwagon to get elected then changed their position as soon as the election was over.

These sleazy ads trying to overthrow the results of a democratic election say they are paid for by Surrey Connect, a party started by two of the sleazebags who broke their election promise. However, they don't have money. Surrey First does. It is highly likely these election ads are paid for by Surrey First and Surrey Connect is just a front.

To understand the nature of their fraud we need to understand the Police corruption Pandemic in BC which is ultimately behind it. I oppose that pandemic of police corruption just like I oppose Surrey First and Surrey Connect. I support Dough McCallum and the Safe Surrey Coalition.

Langley Shooting Friday night

News 1130 is reporting that "A late night shooting in Langley has sent one man to hospital in grave condition. In a release, Langley RCMP say they were called to the parking lot of the Chuck E. Cheese on 200th Street and 64th Avenue, in the Willowbrook area. The area of the shooting was cordoned off for a significant period of time as police conducted an investigation. The victim was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds but no word yet of any suspects was provided. RCMP say this incident does not appear to be a targeted attack."

Not targeted? Global is reporting that the black pick-up was parked in front of the credit union.
