Surrey's municipal police force gets Provincial green light

The Canadian Press is reporting that " The Vancouver-area city of Surrey, home to Canada's largest RCMP detachment, has been given provincial approval to begin a transition to a municipal police department. British Columbia Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth has given the approval for the work to get underway." Finally. Thank God.

"Farnworth says a team has been formed between the city and the province to ensure key issues of the transition are addressed, and it will be up to that team to determine if the switch can be done by 2021." The sooner the better. If John McKay is hired to overseas training, Surrey would have a world class police force second to none.

Amazon rain forest on fire

Global is reporting that "The Amazon rainforest, the vessel holding a massive amount of the world’s oxygen, is burning at a rate scientists have never seen before." Quartz is reporting that "The Amazon rainforest is burning at an unprecedented rate, and the fires are unlikely starting themselves. Rather they may be set by people in an attempt to clear land for cattle ranching."

The Express is reporting that "The increasing numbers of fires this year have been blamed on Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. Mr Bolsonaro took office in January and supported developing the Amazon region for farming and mining. This has proved controversial due to international concern over increased deforestation. The Brazilian President has also brushed off claims made by INPE. The space agency said the large number of wildfires could not be attributed to the dry season or natural phenomena alone. Researcher Alberto Setzer said: “There is nothing abnormal about the climate this year or the rainfall in the Amazon region, which is just a little below average. The dry season creates the favourable conditions for the use and spread of fire, but starting a fire is the work of humans, either deliberately or by accident.”

Man injured in early-morning Surrey shooting

The Surrey Now Leader is reporting that "Surrey RCMP says one man has been injured after a shooting in Newton Tuesday morning (Aug. 20). Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 5900-block of 131A Street around 2:52 a.m., according to a Surrey RCMP release Tuesday afternoon. RCMP said that when officers arrived they found a man suffering from an apparent gun-shot wound. Police said the man was taken to hospital and is in stable condition. Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is investigating, and early indications are that this was a targeted incident and may be connected to drug trafficking.” Ya think?

Ryan Provencher and Richard Scurr found dead near Ashcroft, B.C.

CBC is reporting that "Two bodies that were found Saturday in the B.C. Interior are confirmed to be those of missing Surrey men, Ryan Provencher, 38, and Richard Scurr, 37. Lytton RCMP officers were called to a rural area near Ashcroft, B.C., about 100 kilometres west of Kamloops, for a report that two bodies had been discovered at the site, north of Spences Bridge. RCMP confirmed Tuesday that the bodies are those of Provencher and Scurr. Police believe the cause of their deaths is criminal in nature, and the RCMP's major crime unit in the southeast district is now investigating." Condolences to the families.

Paolo Caputo shot dead in Toronto

The Toronto Star is reporting that "Paolo Caputo, 64, of Richmond Hill, was killed in a targeted shooting in front of Domani Restaurant, on Roncesvalles Ave. near Grenadier Rd., shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday. Multiple sources said that Caputo may have been targeted for murder over a drug debt owed by his associates to a Mexican drug cartel active in the GTA." BULLSH*T!

Caputo’s brother, Martino Caputo, is serving a life sentence as one of four men convicted of first-degree murder in the Raposo shooting. Another Pipeline rupture sends 40,000 litres of oil into Alberta creek effecting Edmonton's drinking water

The Canadian Press is reporting that "The Alberta Energy Regulator says a pipeline has spilled 40,000 litres of crude oil into a creek. The regulator says on its website that the incident happened Thursday on a Bonterra Energy Corp. line 14 kilometres south of Drayton Valley, Alta. It says the line was shut in and depressurized, and that containment booms were installed. The AER says no impacts to wildlife were reported." Yeah right. Dead fish tell no tales.

Global is reporting that "Four days after the Alberta Energy Regulator was told 40,000 litres of oil emulsion leaked from a pipeline into a creek that feeds into the North Saskatchewan River, Edmonton’s primary utility provider says the city’s drinking water is perfectly safe.” Not.



The North Saskatchewan river is Edmonton's sole source of drinking water. "Regulator records show this isn’t the first time the company has had problems in the area." Clean up is expected to take three weeks but Edmonton drinking water is safe. Rollyeyes.

CBC is reporting that "For the second time in less than a month there was a pipeline spill in the province, which serves as the centre of the country’s oil industry. Last month it was 100,000 litres. Now, the Alberta Energy Regulator said on the weekend, a pipeline spilled 40,000 litres of crude into a creek near Drayton Valley last Thursday. The regulator says the incident happened on a Bonterra Energy Corp. line that has left oil seeping into Washout Creek. The creek flows into the North Saskatchewan River, which is the source of city of Edmonton’s water supply. Bonterra says it is taking the necessary steps to limit the damage."

The Calgary Herald reported that "Alberta’s energy watchdog has set a target to cut the number of pipeline spills that affect wildlife and water systems through added enforcement and more frequent inspections on poorly performing companies. The Alberta Energy Regulator also released an online database that outlines the record of every oil and gas company regarding pipeline spills and other incidents over the past two years. It believes that by holding companies publicly accountable for their performance, there will be fewer spills."

The Sovereign Citizen movement in the US

It has been brought to my attention that there is a movement within the United States that call themselves Sovereign Citizens. It has it's roots within the white supremacy moment but since then a lot of people of colour in the US are embracing the doctrine and are trying to declare themselves Sovereign Citizens which basically means they renounce their US Citizenship.

First let me declare, that ain't me. I am proud of my citizenship. In contrast, I am an oath keeper. I believe in protecting the Constitution and the Charter of Rights. I believe in pledging allegiance to the flag and the free republic it represents. Renouncing my citizenship is like being a draft dodger.

At first glance it would appear that Sovereign Citizens think that by renouncing your social security number you no longer have to pay taxes or obey any laws. As absurd as that sounds, it is astounding how large this group has become. It reminds me of that US Facebook group that wanted to shoot their guns at an approaching hurricane. At first we thought it was funny and a joke. Then we realized some wingnuts actually thought that if enough people got out there and fired their guns at a hurricane, the combined force would turn the hurricane away.

None of you ever thought that discharging a firearm at a hurricane might be dangerous because the high speed winds might change the trajectory of the bullet and aim it right back at you?

In Hawaii there is a group of people who want to break free from the US and form their own country like Quebec. I understand the logic. However, once you form a new country, you are going to have to pay taxes to them. Taxes pay for roads, schools, hospitals, police. Basically every social program under the sun. We can certainly debate how taxes are spent and how much tax is collected but no mater what country you join, you're still going to have to pay taxes. Without taxes there is no order, no law enforcement. Nothing gets done. Anarchy is the result. Chaos.

I am not an Anarchist or a Communist. I am the Irish definition of Republican. I believe in a free republic where all people are welcome regardless of race, colour or creed. Yes people have the right to believe in sovereign citizens, but they still must obey the law. As the preamble to the Canadian Charter of Rights declares, I believe in the supremacy of God and the rule of law.

It's like the Jehovah Witnesses. I totally support the freedom of religion. I believe the Jehovah Witnesses have every right to exist. I just don't agree with their beliefs. Some things they believe I agree with but there are other things they believe I do not agree with. For example, they don't believe in going to war. Conscientious objectors have their place in society. However, freedom comes with a price. Fighting Hitler was the right thing to do.

The Jehovah Witnesses are going around telling everyone not to vote in elections. I do not believe that is God's work. If all the good people stop voting in elections, then all the bad people will be elected. That is what Satan wants. That is not what God wants. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men and women to be silent and not vote in elections. Look before you leap.



Eric Jon Phelps is a sovereign citizen who wants Pennsylvania to break off from the United States and form it's own country. He wants to make it for whites only. I kid you not. That is why he is a sovereign citizen. That is his agenda. Right now he can't do that because the sacred Constitution forbids racial discrimination. So he has to convince people to forsake the Constitution and become a sovereign citizen. That way he can defy the constitution at will.

The con is the claim that if you become a sovereign citizen you won't have to pay taxes. Oh really? For how long? Once you form a new country, you're going to have to pay taxes to them. In the movie the Patriot with Mel Gibson, there's a scene where the Americans are complaining about the amount of tax England charges and refer to it as taxation without representation. They are trying to convince Mel Gibson to join the rebellion.

He responds with a wise concern and states: "Would you tell me, please, Mister Howard, why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a King can." Mather Byles was the author of the quote. That was the exact concern many Canadians had who became loyalists.

As we can now see, Hong Kong was far better off under British rule than under the Communist party of China. Giving up your sovereignty and joining the EU without a Constitution that guarantees civil liberty is voting for slavery and oppression.

The Independent is reporting that "Hollywood star Peter Fonda has died aged 79 after respiratory failure from lung cancer, his family have said. Motorcycle cop crashed doing a burnout

The Squamish Chief is reporting that "Following an accident involving an officer at this year’s Squamish Motorcycle Festival, the RCMP is launching an internal investigation into the matter. A video posted to social media shows a Mountie and another rider locking the fronts of their motorcycles and spinning their back wheels to create smoke. However, the officer’s bike moves forward and collides with another nearby motorcyclist circling the pair." Loser.

Global is reporting that "A man is dead in following an overnight stabbing near Surrey’s Semiahmoo Shopping Centre. Police said they were called to the 1700 block of 152 Street around 3 a.m, where they found a man suffering from grievous stab wounds."

The Peacearch News is reporting that "A 45-year-old man has been identified as the victim in Friday morning’s fatal stabbing in South Surrey. In a news release issued just after 11:30 p.m. Friday, Integrated Homicide Investigation Team officials said they were releasing Delphin Paul Prestbakmo’s name in an effort to determine his activities prior to his death."

One police officer told Global News that the area is known to be frequented by squatters, and that a social gathering had been taking place."

Surrey RCMP bust Brother's Keepers drug lab

CBC is reporting that "On Aug. 6, officers raided a residence in the 16300 block of 14A Avenue where they discovered a large drug manufacturing operation they believe is connected to the crime group, Brothers Keepers. Some of the drugs were packaged in bulk and some were packaged for street level distribution. RCMP say preliminary testing indicates fentanyl was detected among the substances found."

Is this a joke? The Brothers Keeps sold drugs for the Hells Angels. Was this just a token bust of a few doses to take the heat off or are the Surrey RCMP trying to turn a new leaf right before they are disbanded? Will they bust the drugs coming out of Shakerz next or are they just targeting the Brothers Keepers because they refused to do the hit on Suminder Grewal? Please advise.



So it was the Surrey RCMP Drug Section that executed the search warrant. Both Surrey’s Gang Enforcement Team and the Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit’s Clandestine Lab Enforcement and Response Team were also part of the raid. The Compromised BC Gang task force were nowhere to be found. Perhaps Kelowna should hire them to bust Arnie Miller. The former cop who pimps and sells drugs for the Kelowna Hells Angels out of the Garden of Eden. Letting him continue makes gang enforcement in BC a complete joke. Bacchus Funeral for Greg Lamkey

The RCMP are reporting that "A 66-year-old man from Riverview, N.B., has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Lower Cape, N.B. On August 10, 2019, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Riverview RCMP received a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a car on Route 114 in Lower Cape. The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver of the motorcycle failed to negotiate the corner, crossed the center line and struck the side of the oncoming car. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The driver and passenger of the car were not injured. The investigation into the cause of the collision is continuing."

Charlie Bacchus is reporting that the deceased is a member of Bacchus MC named Greg Lamkey. There will be a wake Friday evening August 16th at the Bacchus Albert County Clubhouse. The funeral will be 12:00 Noon Saturday August 17th at the same clubhouse. There will be a ride from there to the graveyard. My condolences.

At least this one was an accident. Trial delay for Cop who killed Hudson Brooks

The Surrey Now Leader is reporting that "The setting of trial dates for the officer charged in connection with the July 2015 shooting death of 20-year-old Hudson Brooks in South Surrey has been delayed again." Sadly, this entire trial is a complete red herring. The female cop charged did not shoot him. Another cop did. She will be found not guilty.

As I reported when it happened, Hudson was running to the police station for help because a mob of kids were trying to kill him. He was frantic because that is the same park and likely the same mob that previously killed Dario Bartoli. He's running down the street screaming for help claiming they are trying to kill him. A female cop, Const. Elizabeth Cucheran, orders him to stop. He's frantic and keeps running for his life. She pulls out her gun and ends up shooting herself by accident. She goes on the radio saying I've been shot. The wolves are released thinking this kid just shot a cop. Then she is heard to say on the police radio, I think I shot myself.

Someone should have told the cops dispatched to come to her aid. They shot Hudson in cold blood when he was unarmed thinking he had shot a cop when he hadn't. He was never armed. He never tried to pull the gun away from the female cop. They shot him dead without commanding him to stop, get down or put his hands up. He was running to them for help.

The cop who shot him needs to be charged not the female cop who shot herself. This was a tragic mistake. Nothing will bring Hudson back. What we need to do is reassess how we respond to these situations the next time a cop decides to be judge, jury and executioner all at once.

Global is reporting that "Surrey RCMP is investigating a shooting in the Whalley area that left a man with a head injury early Monday morning. Police say they were called to the 10600-block of King George Boulevard just before 2 a.m. for reports of shots fired. A man was found near the area with a head injury, which was treated in hospital. The victim has since been released. RCMP say their Serious Crime Unit is investigating the shooting, which appears to be targeted."

Prior to the annexation, the democratically elected president of the Ukraine who was pro Russia went into exile after live ammunition was used on pro EU protesters. Geographically, residents in Western Ukraine were of Russian descent and were pro Russia. Eastern Ukraine were not. They were pro European Union. Crimea was pro Russia.



My concerns with Putin isn't his midlife crisis visit to Crimea. My concern with Putin is the fact that he is banning and assassinating political opponents from running against him in elections. My concern with Putin is his mass arrests of protesters in Russia who object to other candidates being banned from the ballot. My concern with Putin isn't his fake meddling in the US election which was ridiculous. My concern with Putin was the use of false flag attacks in Chechnya to get elected. I've got love for Big Brother but I'm concerned with what Putin is doing in Russia.

Sea to Sky gonadal accident

The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "RCMP said Saturday they believe someone may have intentionally cut a cable on the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish after gondolas crashed to the ground early in the morning, causing significant damage. No one was injured. RCMP say they are still assessing the damage but the early signs point to the cable being cut. Squamish RCMP Const. Ashley MacKay said authorities are inspecting the full length of the cable. The busy attraction was scheduled to open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, but the company says that it will remain closed for the foreseeable future." WTF?

Sabotage? Who would do that? Why? How? Every crime has a means and motive. We go there all the time. The place is awesome. My daughter just showed me a picture on her phone from a friend of hers who was up there recently. The place was packed. More people up there than I have ever seen. I thought it must have been a concert or something.

CBC is reporting that "RCMP say they believe someone deliberately cut the cable of the Sea to Sky gondola located along Highway 99 in Squamish, B.C., felling the two-kilometre cable route early Saturday morning. Almost all of the 30 gondola cars attached to the cable crashed to the ground around 4 a.m. on Saturday. The gondola wasn't operating at the time."

4:00 AM the cable broke or was cut with no one on it. That is very strange.

GTA residents arrested in Italy following Mafia sweep

The Toronto Star is reporting that "Fourteen alleged members and associates of the ’Ndrangheta - or Calabrian Mafia - were arrested in southern Italy last month as part of Project Sindicato."

"Among the GTA residents who were charged on Friday morning on organized crime association charges are: Francesco Commisso, 62, alleged head of the local ’Ndrangheta in Siderno and a Canadian arm; Rocco Remo Commisso, 73, of York Region; Giuseppe (Joe) De Maria, 56; Michelangelo Archina, 42; Angelo (Angelino) Figliomeni, 57; Antonio Figliomeni, 57; Cosimo Figiomeni, 54; and Luigi Bishop, 48. Michele Carabetta, 61, of the GTA was charged with Mafia-related charges last month. Also arrested in the sweeping operation was Santo Rumbo, who was arrested in Luxembourg on an international warrant."

"Police at the time said they considered York Region resident Angelo Figliomini, 56, as the head of an international ’Ndrangheta group with a base in York Region. The York Region news conference was attended by Fausto Lamporelli of the Italian state police, who praised a high level of co-operation between Canadian and Italian investigators. 'These two investigations became one,' Lamporelli said through an interpreter."

Ontario arrests organized crime figures involved with drug trafficking. So does Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia but BC does not. Evan Italy does. That makes BC more corrupt than Quebec and Italy put together. Go figure. Follow the rich white man yo.

Jeffrey Epstein dies by suicide in jail cell but did he really?

The Canadian Press is reporting that "Jeffrey Epstein, the well-connected financier accused of orchestrating a sex-trafficking ring, killed himself while awaiting trial in a New York prison, officials said Saturday. Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell Saturday morning at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, according to a statement from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The Fire Department said it received a call at 6:39 a.m. Saturday that Epstein was in cardiac arrest, and he was pronounced dead at New York Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital."

ABC claims he hanged himself. Back east the police faked a prison suicide for a guy who seemingly went into witness protection after he testified against the HAs. We still need to see the documents from the 2014 defamation court case which accused Epstein and a number of world leaders of sexual abuse. "These petitioners included in their filings not only descriptions of sexual abuse by Epstein, but also new allegations of sexual abuse by several other prominent individuals, including numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well‐known Prime Minister, and other world leaders."



This whole case reminds me of the Mena Connection where a crooked corner named Fahmy Malak not only falsified death certificates deeming murders as suicides in the State of Arkansas but he also tampered with evidence to support the falsifications. He was put into office by Governor Bill Clinton. Things that make ya go hmmmm... or rather Ah Ha.

Update: Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell early in the morning, just one day after unsealed court documents surfaced new allegations against him and his high-powered inner circle. OK so let's see those unsealed documents. Who is next to be charged?

Every crime has a means and a motive. The number of whistle blowers associated with the Clintons who have died over the years is staggering. Probability and statistics points to something shady. First the means. Obviously the Clintons themselves aren't going around killing people. However, that is what the CIA gets paid to do.

Hilary Clinton was the author of Operation Fast and Furious a CIA operation that used the ATF to sell guns to the Mexican cartel and bring back tons of cocaine into the US for payment. It was the continuation of Iran contra. The CIA have a long history of drug trafficking and killing whistle blowers. They are the means and motive behind the Clinton Body Count.

Unsealed documents show allegations against Jeffrey Epstein and his inner circle

CNN is reporting that "Hundreds of pages of court documents unsealed Friday in New York federal court allege new details of sexual abuse claims against multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein and several associates. At the heart of the documents connected to a 2015 defamation case are allegations by a woman, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has claimed that Epstein kept her as a teenage sex slave and that he was assisted in his efforts by a British woman, Ghislaine Maxwell."

"The documents unsealed Friday were produced as a result of a lawsuit Giuffre filed against Maxwell, nearly two decades after her alleged abuse. They include new allegations by Giuffre that she was instructed by Maxwell to have sex with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and former US Sen. George Mitchell, among others."

The Daily Beast is reporting that "Virginia Giuffre, who says that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to powerful people for erotic massages and sex, claimed in depositions in 2016 that Maxwell directed her to have sex with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Britain’s Prince Andrew (whom she has accused before), wealthy financier Glenn Dubin, former senator George Mitchell, now-deceased MIT scientist Marvin Minsky, and modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, as well as “another prince,” a "foreign president," a well-known prime minsiter" and the owner of a “large hotel chain” in France." Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz is also on the list.

The foreign president was Spanish. One of the hotel chain owners was Marvin Minksy.

Autopsy finds broken bones in Jeffrey Epstein’s neck, deepening questions around his death

The Washington Post is reporting that "An autopsy found that financier Jeffrey Epstein sustained multiple breaks in his neck bones, according to two people familiar with the findings, deepening the mystery about the circumstances around his death. Among the bones broken in Epstein’s neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is near the Adam’s apple. Such breaks can occur in those who hang themselves, particularly if they are older, according to forensics experts and studies on the subject. But they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation, the experts said."

The last three Hells Angels murders in BC were not rivals

The last three full patch Hells Angels who were murdered in BC - Chad Wilson, Suminder Grewal and Bob Green, were not murdered by rivals. In fact it doesn't appear that any of the last 11 Hells Angels murdered in BC were killed by rivals.

Bob Green was shot dead by a member of a puppet club that sold drugs for the Hells Angels called the 856. The kid had been charged along with Bob's cousin Lenny with drug trafficking. The kid was told to take the fall for Lenny like many others before him and the kid said no.

Lenny still hasn't been convicted in that drug trafficking case because gang enforcement in BC is compromised. In fact, since the shooter turned himself in and was cooperating with the police, the police lied and said the shooter's friend was involved with Bob Green's murder when he was not putting the shooter's friend's family at risk. The police wanted to protect their source. They didn't care about the family of an innocent victim. It was said that Bob was killed with his own gun.

The BC Gang Task Force said that the Hells Angels were responsible for the murder of two missing sailors on Vancouver Island over a dropped drug shipment. They said Chad was assigned to take care of it meaning the club assigned him with the debt and killed him for it.

The Vancovuer Sun claimed Suminder Grewal owed money meaning he was killed by the club.

Juel Stanton was killed by the club. So was Cedric Smith, Billy Moore, Blackie Burgess, Manny Valenti and Ernie Ozolins. Initially we were told that Michael (Zeke) Mickle was murdered after he tried to tax the Vietnamese grows and they said no. The Vancouver Sun claimed he owed money which would imply he was killed by the club. So not only do the Hells Angels attend the funerals of people they killed, they even have memorial rides for them.

The only unclear one is Donald Roming. At first we were told that the guy who shot him didn't know he was HA and when he found out he killed a HA he committed suicide. Now the Sun is reporting that the suspect in Roming's murder had been murdered. I don't believe Roming was killed by a rival either. So with friends like that, who needs enemies? Buyer Beware.

Miriam Rivera's suspicious suicide

People Magazine is reporting that "Miriam Rivera — the first openly trans reality star, has died. Rivera’s husband Daniel Cuervo confirmed the news in a Facebook tribute shared in February but her death only came to light this week. “My adorable wife rest in peace darling until God lets us be together again,” Cuervo wrote. Authorities have ruled Rivera’s death a suicide, but Cuervo is convinced there’s more to the story. He explained to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday that he believes Rivera’s death was “passed off” as a suicide after she refused to work as a prostitute."

"During the interview, Cuervo recalled the last time he spoke to Rivera on the morning of Feb. 5. “Miriam called me [in New York] from Mexico, telling me she was feeling sick and vomiting blood, so I told her to get to the hospital,” Cuervo to Daily Mail Australia. He explained to the outlet that Rivera called him one more time before leaving the hospital at around noon and that was last time he heard from her. Just two hours later, Miriam was found dead by hanging at her home in Hermosillo, Mexico, according to Daily Mail Australia. She was 38."

"Cuervo had hoped to fly Rivera’s body back to New York where he lives, but as he began to make funeral arrangements he was told that her body had already been cremated, he told the outlet. An autopsy was never performed. Her husband then said he allegedly received a threatening phone call from an unidentified man, who warned him not to plan a funeral for Rivera. “Don’t come back to Mexico or we’ll kill you,” the man said, according to Cuervo."

Her husband isn’t the only one who finds the circumstances surrounding Rivera’s death to be suspicious. Rivera’s friend Jeanett Ørtoft spoke out about her death telling Daily Mail Australia, “Some say she was killed for going against human trafficking, others say she took her own life.”

That is what I would define as a suspicious suicide.

Confronting police corruption was a crucial element of the New York Model

I totally support law enforcement. It's just that I hate dirty cops worse than I hate bikers who sell crack. I regularly refer to the New York crime reduction model because it was successful and I saw it in action. The transformation of 42nd Street Time Square formally known as the Deuce is literally astounding. Enforcement and gentrification was the magic wand but it was all made possible by the Mollen Commission which was created after the arrest of Michael Dowd.

To put the Michael Dowd story into perspective, everyone needs to watch the documentary called the Seven Five about police corruption in Brooklyn prior to the implementation of the New York Model. I was in New York at the peak of the crack epidemic 1985. I saw what it was like.

The Seven Five is a tell all documentary were Michael Dowd explains all about his corruption as a New York City cop after his release from prison. It is astounding. While we were risking our lives confronting the crack dealers up in Harlem and down on the Deuce, that POS Michael Dowd was helping supply them with the cocaine. They had a supermarket in Brooklyn where people would go into the back and buy cocaine by the kilo. Michael Dowd would warn them whenever the drug squad was going to search them. He even gave them police escorts to transfer money.

My point is that police corruption made the crack epidemic in New York possible just like it is here in BC and confronting that police corruption made the New York crime reduction model possible. In BC the police corruption is from the top down like Seattle not the bottom up like New York. So while I'm here I'd like to say a big F*ck you to Michael Dowd and give a solders salute to Chuck Pillon. Chuck was a hero and Down was a villain. What we do in life echoes in eternity.



When I was in New York the second time, the Deuce was just like the picture on the left. It was filled with crack dealers and porn theaters. It was a sh*t hole filled with violence. I remember having a run in with a cop once during my first trip to New York. It was on the subway in Brooklyn. We were on our way home from visiting Curtis' mother who lived in Brooklyn at the time.

I'm standing on the subway and this young cop comes up to me and gets in my grill. He shakes his head and says what are you doing here?! I respond with I'm visiting from Canada volunteering my services to help make the subway safe. He just shakes his head and exclaims these people don't care. I respond with, we care. One of the purposes of the Guardian Angels is to be a role model for society. If enough people start to care we then can make a difference. He just shakes his head and walks off in disgust. At the time I thought that was a pretty bad attitude for a cop. It made me wonder why he chose law enforcement for a career.

Now after watching that documentary the Seven Five I can't help but think that cop looked and sounded exactly like Michael Dowd. Wouldn't that have been ironic? Here's a guy who had given up. He had lost hope. As a result, he was part of the problem.

That's one thing Curtis taught us. He said no matter where you go, there are always more good people out there than bad. Sebastian and Tut would say the same thing. I found that to be true. No matter where I went - Harlem, Brixton, Belfast or the Deuce, there were always more good people than bad. Curtis would say the problem is the good people are either paralyzed with fear or have become apathetic. They think the problem is too big to solve and no one can make a difference. Curtis said what you have to do is shock the people and give them hope.

That was Curtis' specialty. I saw him do things others said couldn't be done on a daily basis.

The New York model was successful because of Enforcement. The Portugal model was successful because of Treatment. Two crucial pillars that Vancouver has abandoned. New York and Portugal are good models to follow. Vancouver is not. Vancouver's drug policy has been a complete failure resulting is record levels of addiction and record levels of drug overdoses. Lethal injection sites are clearly not the answer. Treatment and Enforcement is. It's that simple.

Police seize 5 kilos of fentanyl in Ontario

CBC is reporting that York police seized 5 kilos of fentanyl in Vaughan, outside of Toronto in what they referred to as Project Zen. Project Moon targeted southern Ontario and seized 23 kilos of crystal meth. This is what the police are supposed to do.

In Ontario the police target organized crime. In BC they do not. All they do in BC is promote addiction and crime. That is not law enforcement. That is something else.

Harm Promotion is not the answer

Post Media Trash is reporting that Kennedy Stewart, the mayor of Vancouver, says he is screaming to Ottawa and Victoria for more funding to help promote drug overdose fatalities. He wants to spend the money on more lethal injection sites and helping addicts have greater access to drugs. This is the root of the problem and is the direct opposite of the Portugal model.

Portugal successfully addressed it's drug addiction problem by implementing mandatory treatment. Decriminalization is not the answer because right now drug users here are not charged for using drugs. Decriminalization here would simply makes it impossible to arrest the predatory drug dealers who are brutalizing the addicts as we speak.

Vancouver has the highest drug overdose problem per capital in Canada because of it's failed drug policy. Vancouver is a bad example. The failure in Vancouver's drug policy is the direct result of the city's abandonment of the Four Pillars program. They threw away the three crucial pillars of Treatment, Prevention and Enforcement and in so doing turned Harm Reduction into Harm Promotion. Everyone knows that smoking cigarettes is bad for you. Helping people stay addicted to cigarettes does not improve public health.

Kennedy Stewart might as well take that money and give it straight to the Hells Angels. In so doing he would save lives and save a lot of human misery. Helping people get off drugs improves public health. Helping them stay on drugs does not. Give your head a shake.
